Normally I'd talk about Jax, or the possibility of flashbacks, or even the Caine crashout, BUT...
Yea ok, blue couch for "lemme out of the circus", red for "imma stay here", purple for "who tf knows at this point / idk / help i'm being mind controlled by caine" and...

And why are Gangle and Zooble sitting on the green couch?
More analysis under the cut (I say "analysis" but it's really just rambles lol)
Before you read: i know my rambles are not groundbreaking. im just having fun :]
First of all... whats up with the color green in TADC?
Ribbit
Ribbit is green, obviously. From what we know, she used to be a human at the circus. They were probably friends with Jax and Kaufmo and abstracted. We also know she had a fight with Jax in that one snowy adventure snow globe.
So... abstraction? Broken friendships? (friends kind of was the whole theme of the intro sequence about Caine 'the lover without a heart')
Color theme of episode 3 (Mystery at Mildenhall Manor)
Episode 3 had a green color theme, such as when Pomni gets possessed, Kinger talks about his abstracted wife (who we probably see in the trailer!), horror and scary angels and... the baron of mildenhall killing his loved one in his obsession.
So... abstraction (again)? Betrayal?
Caine's right eye
So Caine has a green eye and a blue eye. When he glitches out his green eye becomes blue, and his blue eye becomes red...??
Is green another option? If blue is leaving, red is staying, purple (being a mix of both) is not being sure (or being mind controlled into being in neutral ground / the opposite choice, etc etc), what is green?
Green is a mix of blue and yellow. Up in the image with Caine and the wire-looking stuff, we do see a bit of yellow. So if blue is wanting to leave, what's yellow? And how do they mix to become green, which may suddenly be important?
We do see a yellow fire hydrant between the blue and red couches...
Gummigoo
Gummigoo is both yellow and green. Interesting.
So if yellow and blue make green, that means that x + [leaving the circus] = y. Gummigoo is composed of x and y, meaning he also is composed of [leaving the circus].
Gummigoo did want to leave his own reality. That would be the underlying blue in the green (which makes sense since his character isnt supposed to want to leave, but did anyway).
So [blue / wanting to leave] + [yellow / something else] = [green / the answer]
What did Gummigoo have that the others don't? Or rather, what do the others have that he doesn't?
He's an NPC. He doesn't have full control over his mind, his body and his existence- all of those are under Caine's control. Is that what yellow is?
We know that Jax and Kaufmo both have yellow as a key color in their design. Kaufmo abstracted, so we don't know much about him, but Jax definitely is under Caine's control. However, he's not an NPC.
Lack of control over their reality is what caused Kaufmo to abstract, and is likely what causes Jax to start abstracting (Jax's whole character is centered on the notion of control, but that's a ramble for another time).
So, if yellow is the lack of control...
[blue / wanting to leave] + [yellow / no control] = [green / ???]
So what happens when you want to leave but realize you have no control?
ABSTRACTION.
But wait...
I think I remember gooseworx saying that Zooble would be one of them who stays alive the whole time. (can't find the post :'])
So it doesn't inherently mean that Zooble and Gangle are going to abstract.
Last but not least for today, even worse than abstraction, is...
Color theory
The bane of artists lol.
Primary : blue (want to leave), red (want to stay), yellow (no control?)
Complementary : red and green, yellow and purple (jax coded?)
Symbolism
Red : passion, danger, love
Blue : tranquillity, softness, sadness
Purple : mystery, power (riches)
Green : life, balance, toxicity, jealousy
Yellow : joy, cowardice, intellect
In brain scans [ik this isnt color theory but maybe its relevant]
Red: very high activity
Yellow: high activity
Green: medium activity
Blue: low activity
Purple: no activity

There's no reason. Caine just felt like spawning a green couch that day

In my AU specifically, they become a lot closer with everything going on and become each other's main source of comfort, an anchor in the storm, if you will

In my AU specifically, Zooble gets very protective of Gangle and they stick together through tough times. No spoilers :]
Both ships are mainly implied and are not the main focus of the AU, so ppl who don't ship them can still enjoy the fics... and people who do ship them can enjoy the little moments :]
There might be more implied ships happening in the AU but I'll keep my mouth shut for now.. no spoilers <3
