When I got made redundant last year from that god awful company which shall not be named I really struggled with my confidence in that sector. I ended up just getting a job in a supermarket because I didn’t want the stress, pressure and just wanted to earn money. Pretty much exactly a year down the line I decided it was time for me to get back on the career ladder and I applied for what would be an absolute dream job. A month, 2 interviews and a trial day later I was offered said job and I start next Thursday. I’m going back to digital marketing for a beauty company and I’m honestly so excited. I feel like this past year has been exactly what I needed, it’s enabled me to have time to myself and sort my head out and it feels like the right time. I’m so thankful for having the opportunity to work for one of the best companies in the UK but I’m very much looking forward to having my weekends back and not having to set a 4:30am alarm. It’s going to be a challenge and it’ll take me some time to get back in to the swing of Monday- Friday life but I’m really excited.
