I'm a completely normal person that definitely doesn't obsess about V and Panam all day long

I think it's cute when people say that Jackie and Johnny would have been besties because I honestly think Jackie would be saying to V, "Wait! Where is he? Where is he standing? I have a thing or two to say to him about threatening to take over your body!" And then like an hour later, he'd be saying to V, "Can you ask Johnny what inspired him to write The Ballad of Buck Ravers? Seriously...who the fuck is Buck Ravers?!"

One min Johnny would be Jackie's arch nemesis and the next V would be saying, "gee thanks choom! Johnny just blipped out for an hour cause hes sick of your incessant fanboy questions."

The Peralez job had been getting under V's skin for days.

His head buzzed from working so hard and coming up with more questions than answers.

After meeting Elizabeth at the ramen shop and walking away with nothing, he decided he was done thinking about it for one night.

Since he was already there, he grabbed ramen for himself and Panam and headed back to camp.

They ate on the roof of one of the trailers and watched the sun set. No conspiracies. No politics. No mysteries to solve. Just good food, a warm evening, and the woman he loved.

Panam decided to snap a picture before they climbed down.

Nibbles was playing a game of tag with the nomad kids below.

It was a good night.

This is the part V doesn't let other people see. Not even Panam. The part where he's alone in his apartment and the walls are closing in. The part where grief, desperation and fear close their grip and he collapses on the floor in tears.

I love this game but it also triggers the crap out of me.

I dealt with a condition that could have killed me and there was no easy answer to. I remember the doctors being scared. It felt like my body was hijacked and something else took control. Thankfully I'm okay now but I relate to V's situation waaay more than I thought I would.

I wish more people recognised bids for connection for what they are and responded accordingly, maybe then we'd all be a little less lonely. Just a thought.

Also it should go without saying, but when someone makes a bid for connection that goes unfulfilled, it makes them less likely to put themselves out there again in the future.

Hey yo!

17. I highly recommend The Emotional Craft of Fiction by Donald Maass. I took some writing classes and I watched a bunch of YouTube writing tutorials. I really like The Cozy Creative by Lydia Foxglove and Abby Emmonds' channel. Just steer clear of The Second Story with Hillary Layne, she's a jerk that hates fanfic. Advice I got from someone years ago also stuck with me: try to get your point across with as little words as possible. Is there a smoother, less verbose way I can say this? And I also read. The more I got into writing the more I also read. And as far as grammar and punctuation I just run it through Grammarly because I hate that part haha. I'm getting better at doing it myself but I don't enjoy it.

23. Character driven (I guess that's two words)

Devotion (that is the top priority between V and Panam. That's always the point)

Focus (the focus is always how the story affects V and Panam's relationship. If I have a focus then I don't get lost writing about other things and making the story messy) for example: when I write about Phantom Liberty it's going to be about how it affects V and Panam. I'm not going to rewrite everything that happened in the DLC.

14. Honestly... My marriage. V is heavily based on my husband and I identify with Panam quite a bit. Every time she does something in the game I go "Yeah... I'd do that..." Lol

24. I put my attention elsewhere. I don't think about writing, don't plan the next story, don't obsess over the last story and how it could've been better. I "take in" creativity instead of creating. So I read, look at art, play the game, etc.
