“They have The Room? How’d I miss that?” Nathan asked, leaning over to check out the DVD. He hadn’t seen it in years and the sight of Tommy Wiseau’s naked backside had haunted him the entire time. “What a masterpiece. The plot holes were big enough to encompass the entire movie twice over and still, I think it deserved some kind of nomination for the absolute mess it was.” He couldn’t help but smile a bit at remembering the first time he’d seen. It had actually been the first movie he’d ever watched (by the recommendation of his cousins) and to say it confused him would be a gross understatement. When he had gone on to watch other films, it had been a relief to find out that not all movies were as bad as The Room. Still, he knew what he was movie he was buying now.
“Well I mean it’s surrounded by absolute nonsense, it’s easy to give up hope,” he said, running his hand over the plastic film that covered the spine. “Oh it was an absolute nightmare - the acting was simply atrocious, and yet it somehow managed to be almost endearing. There’s a reason there was a movie about the making of it and it’s certainly not because it was a good movie.” He smiled softly as he thought about the first time he had seen it - he had been visiting cousins in California when it aired and they convinced him to sneak into the theatre where it was playing. “I have a copy though, do you want it?”
