Virginia NOW History (Virginia Chapter of the National Organization for Women) is a feminist organization whose purpose is to bring women into full participation in the mainstream of American society, exercising all the privileges and responsibilities; thereof in truly equal partnership with men. This tumblr page is soon to become a historical archive of the incredible women and men of Virginia NOW who empowered women's rights and strengthened equality within the state of Virginia. This page will be maintained by former Communications Director, Paradise Kendra who was with Virginia NOW from the age of 14-34. Due to new management, Paradise was forced to step down from her position within the organization, but she will continue to make sure women's history is documented and archived. Thank you. Madonna: Not only do we suffer from racism and sexism, but we also suffer from ageism.
