I’ve recently become interested in Carl Jung’s work and I’ve been told this is the best one to start with. Jung, in this book explains his theory on the unconscious, who’s language he believed to be symbols constantly revealed in dreams. He’s also the psychologist who came up with the concept of shadow work.
New moon tonight!
The moon is in Leo ♌️
I’ve planned a big ritual I’m very excited to do. I’ve been planning this for a month this is the first well thought out and planned ritual I’ve done. I’ve done smaller ones in the past, but I’m hoping this help with growth and just a change of scenery in my life.

While I’m figuring out ways to hack my brain on ways to keep learning and keep focused I’m going to start writing investigative papers on topics that come to me/interest me. I’m debating on posting them them here. Why not?
From one witch with depression to anyone who might need to hear this:
I totally understand the want to use witchcraft to help with your depression and there are some things that can help aid that journey. I understand how much mental healthcare costs and it might not be something you can’t afford. But, magick isn’t a cure all. You have to put in the work from a therapeutic place. Bibliotherapy exists and it can help trust me. As a witch you should always be reading and learning but if you know you’re in a place that needs healing, your first go to shouldn’t be to use magick. The book I would highly suggest for bibliotherapy is Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy by David Burns. There’s even an audiobook version if you need to follow along. There is also shadow work and it’s actually used in therapy that is a tool most witches use to help themselves along with meditation too. Magick should only be used as an aid. I only say this because in Facebook groups and other forums I see someone posting asking for suggestions to fix their depression everyday. I always want to comment this very thing but scared to because I don’t want them to take it in a mean way; I’m only concerned. 
I really need a box for this deck it’s my favorite deck, I am one who relies on the pictures of the cards for meanings. This deck is a RWS (Rider-Waite-Smith) inspired deck but I find it has more detail than the original RWS deck. Which is helping me a lot, but the cardboard tuck box it comes in isn’t the best quality and if I’m going to use these cards a lot I need a good box to put them in.
One of my books came, I’ve been studying tarot before starting my path as a witch (seems to be a common occurrence lol). This book was suggested to me I don’t remember by who. I’m excited and hope this will help me rely less on my other sources to remember the meanings of each card and a different way of doing readings.
I was given cash presents for my birthday so what better to get myself as an aspiring witch? Books 📚
I personally so far think these two books are the best beginning books to start with. In order, Wicca is a good beginner, but the crooked path goes into traditional witchcraft and the historical influences of modern witchcraft. It opens you up to the other worlds of witchcraft that exist.
Today is my astrological birthday, tomorrow my calendar birthday, what an interesting day to turn 25 years old. On the new moon that is also in cancer. A quarter of my life has gone by. It’s an interesting sensation because now a days it feels like your life is just about over. Why? When really it’s only just began. Is it the cultural view of women aging? It is me noticing day by day time feels just a little faster. Even though time is such a human concept to track things down to the very second. Even quantum physics questions the validity of time because it will not subjective. Someone who is sitting still, their concept of time is not exactly the same as person sitting on a moving train.
So in the name of time I take this evening to dedicate more of it to myself. I’m tired of my mind wasting it’s energy on people who don’t deserve it. I reclaim it. First by taking some quiet time to myself. I’m going to randonaughting again and find a place to hournal wherever it takes me.
