Short summary: This story happens a short time after the Hour of Joy. The Prototype took control of the factory, massacred the guilty and the innocent, sent the Toys to their stations and dragged you so deep underground that you don't even entertain the idea of escaping. You're one of the few he shares his resources with willingly, in fact, he makes sure you don't lack anything first before sharing with others. That doesn't mean, however, that you can bring yourself to like him.

Experiment 1006, The Prototype. Isn't he wonderful? He's our savior, our angel of salvation. We would all still suffer if it wasn't for him. He saved us from the bad people upstairs, they won't hurt us any longer! We just have to listen to him now and everything will be fine.

That's what they all said anyway. They genuinely seemed to believe that by showing their devotion, loyalty and gratitude they would win The Prototype's affection. Perhaps they were following Catnap's example... or simply mimicked his worship of The Prototype out of fear. Maybe they were hoping for some extra leftovers that would satisfy their hunger for a bit longer. Whatever the case was, you didn't want to hear any praises.
The Prototype's revenge was brutal. But his affection? That was so, so much worse. You experienced that firsthand; once, during the Hour of Joy, when he appeared out of nowhere in all his spider might, snatched you in his clawed hands and dragged you all the way down to the factory's hidden hell. The second time was a bit later, when he stripped you of your body autonomy, forcing you into a completely new vessel - one he designed himself.
It was a chaotic mess of various toy body parts. Specifically chosen to mess with all your senses, to not let you run too far away. You didn't want to look into a mirror, you couldn't. The Prototype took away your freedom twice already and you didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing you mourn your humanity.
That's the best you could do. You had no real chance of escaping him and any attempt at fighting would only end up with you making your already bad situation worse. So you stayed quiet, doing your best not to provoke him while cursing him out in your mind in all languages you knew.
The worst part of it all was that he just never left you alone. Not for long, anyway. He kept you in a dark cell far away from others, in a corridor that only he seemed to know of. He never really called it a cell, but you knew he wasn't suddenly acting generous. The Prototype had a plan in that twisted mind of his and was determined to go through with it. The first part involved capturing you and turning you into a toy. The second part was all about making sure you would never leave him.
You were clearly in the second part right now.
The Prototype brought you things sometimes. Mostly food and water to keep you alive, but you despised every crumb and every drop. He gave you a few books he found somewhere in the factory, though you never actually opened one. It was too dark to read in here anyway. For all the things he did "for" you, The Prototype didn't grant you a single source of light.

"I brought you something!" he stated in a cheerful voice. The Prototype knew he didn't have to announce himself - you heard him coming long before he actually entered the room. He was standing in the middle of it now, holding the retrieved item in his claws. You couldn't see too clearly in this darkness, but you hoped it wasn't another blanket.
You hated it most when he brought you blankets and pillows. He never simply let you have it; instead he insisted on tucking you in himself. You froze everytime his sharp fingers moved too close to you, knowing exactly what they were capable of. He, on the other hand, never seemed to care.
When you didn't acknowledge him in any way, The Prototype stepped closer to the corner where you were cowering. He lowered himself slightly, the movement accompanied by a series of loud pops and creaks coming from his joints. He placed the item in front of you and you were hit with the smell of meat.
"I got the best parts. Just for you." he added, a hint of pride could be heard in his constantly changing voice. His yellow eye was focused on you, piercing right through. You wondered for a second if he could actually see you in this darkness.
Your gaze dropped to the meat. Your eyes were slowly adjusting to the shadows, so you could see it, but very faintly.
Instead of throwing yourself at it like a starved animal, you turned your head away. You didn't want anything from him, especially meat, because you knew perfectly well where it came from. The thought of consuming it made you sick.
The Prototype didn't care one bit about your refusal, however. He hummed a quiet, distorted tune and kept his gaze on you.
"You cannot heal properly with an empty stomach. If you want it to hurt less, you will eat." he stated, his face clicking quietly as it moved. When you still refused to accept the food from him, The Prototype continued:
"You want to walk. To run, to escape the factory and leave this place behind. You cannot pursue that dream without energy. If you consume this piece, I might give you longer legs."
Another twisted promise. How many of them have there been already? I'll bring you more pillows to sleep on. I'll let you keep that trinket you like so much. I'll take you outside. I won't turn you wrongside out. As long as you do what I say.
Oh, you hated him. You hated him so much. How could he hurt you like this, how could he toy with you like this?! And yet...
Your hunger was stronger than your hatred. Stronger than your pain and your opinions. Slowly, you raised yourself from whatever position you were curled up in and you moved closer to the meat.
You tried to ignore the smell of blood. You tried to silence the thoughts questioning how was this meat obtained. You knew how. You almost ended up the same way. You didn't want to think about it, because if you did, you'd throw up.
When you took the first small bite, The Prototype straightened up, clearly satisfied. He reached for you and you froze, expecting those sharp claws to dig into your artificial skin.
Instead, he just gave you a light headpat.
"Good. I knew you would come to your senses eventually."

On a plain white bg cuz GL2 backgrounds kinda suck imo 😔
Poppy was very easy to make. I had some trouble with her hair, because I couldn't find ponytails fluffy enough to match those she has in the actual game, but I think these do their job pretty well.
Next, Harley. Also pretty easy to make, although I couldn't decide what expression I want him to have. At first I wanted his eye to be open, but it didn't express the annoyance I wanted properly, so I chose this expression instead.
Now... The Prototype/Ollie.
He was the most problematic one bruh.
At the very beginning I was determined to match his model, with the spider legs and everything but... He was so chopped I had to try again because I couldn't look at him (photo of shame below)
He was so ugly pls 🥹
I decided to base my design on the one from the pride month artwork instead. It was much easier since I didn't have to improvise with the legs so much and I think this version of the Prototype looks much cuter.
I left one eye black and one claw (?) cuz it's just too iconic to get rid of lmao

• It’s nothing and he knows it. Your hand on June’s arm as you talk with her and Fowler on the catwalk. The quick, wry flash of a smile the human man offers you. Harmless. So why does it bother him? Make him want to reach for you. Separate you from them. Battle mask clicking into place because he’s not sure that he can control his expression, you’re laughing. Smiling. And a shameful part of him hates it. Hates that you’re not over here with him instead. Wants all of your attention, all of your time. Knows how selfish that is. How wrong it is, but he keeps thinking it.
• He’s watching your every move and you’re aware of him in a way you’ve never been aware of other people before. Stealing a glance his way, you meet his optics and a shiver of heat whispers through you. He’s always so careful with you, so gentle and slow, but you’ve seen him on the battlefield. And it had made you realize that how he acts with you is an illusion. An act. That he tries to not frighten you, overwhelm you, but that it means he handles you with kid gloves. Like he thinks he’s going to break you and it’s infuriating. Especially when you want to feel those big hands on you, want to see him lose control just a bit, get a little rough. To be real with you.
• Rumbling as you reach up and your hand lingers on Fowler’s upper arm, you smile at something June says, but he can’t tear his optics away from the sight of your hand on someone else. Servos flexing as he tries to keep his temper in check, to play the part of Prime, he wants to mass shift. Punch the other human. Drag you into his frame and off to his habsuite. To claim you. But knows he can’t. Not when he’d be risking scaring you. Doesn’t want you to fear him. Jaw working, he catches your eyes and there’s a question in your expression that he doesn’t quite understand. Like you’re expecting something from him.
• He’s staring at you again. At your hand on Fowler’s uniformed arm. Meeting your eyes briefly before he looks away and you let your arm drop. Feeling childish for trying to provoke a reaction from him, but sometimes you wonder if you’re only his dirty, little secret. He’s always composed and polite with you around everyone else, like he doesn’t want them to know what the two of you do in his habsuite. Maybe he’s embarrassed. Afraid that his other Autobots will judge him if they knew what he does with you when it’s only the two of you. Refusing to look at him, you turn so your back is to him and try to ignore that uncertain hurt settling in the pit of your stomach.
• You won’t even look at him now and his plating heats, servos curling into fists at his sides as he studies you. Maybe you’ve decided you prefer your own kind and he was only a curiosity to you. An itch to scratch. Doesn’t believe that, but can’t silence that poisonous thought, either. Venting as he stares at you, he’s moving without meaning to, mass shifting and reaching. Momentarily hesitating at the way his servos curl completely around your upper arm as you turn to look up at him, your surprise obvious. Because he’s never grabbed you like this. Never touched you at all without your permission. Can’t look away from your wide eyes as his servos flex on your arm. He’s dimly aware of Fowler clearing his throat awkwardly and that he should let go. Apologize. Be gentle. Instead he glances at the human man, rumbling in warning as he bends and you suck in a breath as June laughs out a startled ‘oh’ when he tosses you over his shoulder and carries you to his habsuite as they stare. As his Autobots notice what’s happening and turn to stare. Hears you gasp out his name, but he doesn’t really trust himself to respond, afraid he might just growl instead. Because you’re his. You’ve been his all along and he’s not going to sit back and watch you walk away. He’s keeping you.
The night and the moon. Two furies that rule the night, one, the darkness that humans have learned to fear and the other, light that keeps the darkness at bay.

. It took him at least half a year to pick up a good foundation for cooking
. The first thing he ever tried to make was just a meat and vegetable stew, which somehow became thick sludge that was pitch black and smelled like fire and sadness
. He bought tons of books on different nations cuisines and slowly built up his arsenal of culinary skills
. Of course, his knife skills were already incredible as his hands are so steady, but it took him a while to do simpler things like cooking rice without burning the bottom

He hardly ever cooked in Khanriah, living mostly on the rations provided to the knights. Afterwords, his need to eat decreased significantly, and even then, he is still a small eater. The food he makes itself is for you, always for you, but the cooking is for him. It's peaceful. A time where he can shut out everything except himself and the kitchen and the food that's being made.
