Flour Child || Julia & Vaughn
@doicarrotall
Out of all the people in the school, Julia was happy to have Vaughn as her partner for the Baby Project™ because there was not a snowball chance in hell that she’d accept anyone else as a fake father/husband role even if it was a short-lived project. She would rather leave the other person to fend for themselves if it came down to it. Not that it was anyone else’s fault or anything, her own inner demons just don’t like to play well with others, that’s all.
However, this wasn’t 100% ideal considering the recent change in dynamics. Maybe a few years ago this wouldn’t be something to think so hard about, but now it was something that was plaguing her mind around the clock. Vaughn was never like a brother to her, he certainly wasn’t like a cousin to her either, and that’s something she’s been confused about for a long time now. The only difference between a few months ago and right now happened to be the fact that she was no longer shoving things into the back of her mind, ignoring the thought process entirely if she ever tried to figure out her true feelings for him. Nope, she just couldn’t let things go anymore. Not when she wanted to know how he might be feeling in return. Hopefully he was equally confused or at least certain about which way he was leaning...
Knowing Vaughn and how he had a hard time expressing his feelings on a normal basis, he wouldn’t know which way was up, so asking him directly wouldn’t work. There is another way though... Maybe.
Julia had Vaughn follow her to a table nearby, right outside of their dorms underneath a huge tree that provided adequate shade, and sat the Flour Baby in the center of the table before taking a seat herself. After placing her elbows atop the table, she leaned forward to rest her chin between the palms of her hands and shot a glance at her partner. There was a faint blush appearing on her cheeks, but she tried her best to ignore the slight burning sensation that came along with her equally burning question.
“So, Vaughn... Do you want to be a parent of a real child, someday?”
