I used to be jealous of the girls that were always quiet and calm. The ones who knew when to stop speaking and who knew what to say at the right time. The ones that are so calm I would always be surprised when they laughed at something I said. I think what made me jealous was the fact that they showed control. But just recently I’ve realised that I’ll never be that girl. I’ve tried countless times to be her, I’ve stopped speaking my mind in situations where it was present. I’ve stopped talking as much and I haven’t been quite as energetic as I once would have been. But that honestly just isn’t me. I’m not etherial or pixie like. I’m not quiet or small in social situations. I’m a raging ball of fire and yes, I happen to speak my mind. Alot. I jump from topic to topic and sometimes I talk fast paced and loud when I’m passionate about something. And no I will not be quiet for anyone anymore. I am me. Respect that because this is me respecting myself.
