So, Discord just changed its community guidelines to be in accordance with the UK's new "child safety" laws. They are now banning ANY fictional depiction of minors in what they deem sexual situations - mentioning shota/lolicon by name. And, of course, what they consider sexual is vague, so you could be struck down for SFW art.
What I'm arguably more pissed at is the fact that they're banning "normalization of pedophilia." Which sounds good - prevent sexual abuse, right? Except my partner and I run a server where we help each other with paraphilic intrusive thoughts, and I'm sure many others do the same. Way to make another platform completely inaccessible to mentally ill folkel, Discord!
The worst part is they will report this - fictional fucking content and community support for the anti-contact - to a tip line. Clogging it with useless noise that doesn't require an investigation. What the fuck.
ANTISHIPPERS - You asked for this. Don't come crying to us when real children are suffering because Discord is receiving more reports about motherfucking kodacon than actual CSAM.

Lines of thought that seem Normal but are actually rooted in extreme puritanism:
-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic -Sex scenes in art are pointless -Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants -Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading -People's sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life -Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work The goal is to treat sex as just another thing people do. That is a much healthier attitude than hiding it! It's not uniquely traumatic, it's not weird to talk about it or include it in society.
