about ashport
ashport, im imagining to focus the first chunk of adventure and time here and around this city
Gods of the Realm
There are many gods in this realm. Beautiful and powerful creatures that wander the world around us and through the many planes of existence. Some believe them to be gods, while some just think of them as mighty animals from the aftermath of the creation of the arcane or even as recent as the aftermath of Fallray Catalyst. However perceived, their impact is yet undeniable as some source of power and wonder.
None of the gods are inherently Good or Evil, and neither are their followers.
Countries
Here is a quick summary of the countries in Stravonisi. These are mainly ~generalizations~ and of course there’s exceptions and more details to go with all of this, but it gives a quick vibe i hope! v long under the cut.
WRT alignment charts in my game
im a huge fan of Schroeder's Alignment Chart where it does and doesn't matter depending on if it's being observed. i stand by my opinion that it really serves its best purpose with bonds and flaws: a great prompt for getting to know or create a player character when you're making a personality by scratch. so like... as such... some of my players do want to have alignment and some specifically don't want to, and i want to encourage that balance so it's not going to have gameplay ramifications. i especially am not fond of "good vs evil", this bitch loves nuance. but either way most of my players are beginners wrt dnd so i did want to piece out my interpretation of the chart jic.
good / neutral / evil : what you will accomplish
lawful / neutral / chaotic : how you accomplish it
so like, good i see as "i will do what is right and i will do what helps those i care about" neutral is "i will do what needs to be done" and evil is more "i will do what benefits me at the cost of others"
and along with it, lawful as "by following the path set before me" neutral being "through the means necessary" and chaotic is more "unconditionally and recklessly"

done writing these up!! now to retype it all
😤👍
im making quick notes of each country so my players wont have to look at 2-4 pages of notes of each country 😅 im still going to write more in depth so it's accessable for me and if they want it but ya know
in my campaign im playing with how gods can be presented/interacted with because its always bugged me how in dnd you essentially either Are Religious or Are In Denial,,, i wanted to make what is a god more of a blurred line so they can be utilized for different things (eg. Pucket and Keaton also counts as archfey) and to allow characters to be justified in being atheistic in a magical and divine world.
Trying to go in depth with Adria because this will be the starting point for the campaign
me: im just going to focus on things that will take a lot of attention and time and just leave the rest vague details
me: *writes seven pages with languages*
me: 🤡
i made my own language for infernal!!!! i had a great idea what to use for its alphabet and i feel very tricksy for doing it 👩❤️💋👩 (pictured, me kissing myself)
because i assembled the infernal alphabet instead of just getting to copy down a chart from google sorry yall theres gonna be a lot of infernal related things around now 😂
my checklist while i plan out each country. the campain is going to take place in the continent of stravonisi, with 13 distinct countries. hopefully though the players will stay in the starting country for a while and i only have to go more in depth than this once 😂

welcome to the continent of stravonisi! south of the boria empire between the jade ocean and the ocean of reisand
