Ophelia was relieved once she had stepped inside the car safe and sound, and he was right news did travel fast by the sounds of things when they were shouting out as to what had happened inside the club between her and the other man. It was one thing her dad had taught her when they came into this business â donât answer anything in public ever. Keeping her mouth shut she often found hard to do especially when it was something she didnât like but after the first month of being the presidents daughter she had learnt her lesson by speaking her words in front of otherâs she shouldnât trust and learnt not to trust it was all a learning curve. The topic of food had managed to distract her thoughts as to her worries for her dad finding out what had happened in the club and only she knew that sheâd get a lecture in the morning. âI am starvingâ she spoke up as she looked over at him before looking out the window, and chuckled at the maleâs statement pleased that he had agreed with her and for one of the many times today they were actually agreeing on something. âIce-tea ? How boring, should of came over with me I would of shown you a good time â straight to the vodkaâ she said proudly with a cheesy grin as she looked up at him. Â
Once the taxi driver had parked to the side she had got out of her seat and walked inside the shop with Nicolo ensuring that he was by her side and that she was staying close. âIâm so glad some Kebab shops are still openâ she commented as they walked inside, ordering her meal and waiting for her order. Once it was prepared along with his own, she grabbed the kebab in her hand keeping her fingers warm during a chilly night. âShould we walk for awhile? I donât think the taxi driver will mindâ she said as she shrugged her shoulders, they wouldnât mind waiting for her of course. She continued walking along the pavement it wasnât like he was going to say no after all he had to follow her. Â âThis is good,â she groaned at the taste in her mouth that she had been craving since she began drinking.
âSo, what made you get into this business?â Ophelia asked out of curiosity always believed there was a reason behind everything and she was interested to know his. She knew not many people could handle the scrutiny of the job and she wasnât a great person to hang around after all. âI mean I know you didnât expect to be the security guard for the presidentâs daughter or let alone meet the president himself⊠but there has to be some storyâ
He couldnât help but chuckle at the sound of her words and how pride seemed to coat her tone. Although Nicolo donât necessarily hate liquor, not when he likes to have a few glasses of it every now and then, he didnât feel the need to have it in his system that night seeing as he didnât want to risk ending up somehow intoxicated when he had to look after Ophelia. âYouâre making it sound like Iâm such a boring person.â In another time, he might have described himself as such but for now, he at least needed to prove her that he wasnât as tedious as he seem to be ninety-nine percent of the time. âI just didnât want to drink anything alcoholic since I have to look after you --- and I canât really do that if Iâm intoxicated now, can I?â He said rhetorically, looking over at her and throwing her a half smile.
It didnât take long and they finally arrived at the kebab place where he directed the driver at. Opening the door to his side, he got out first, checking on either sides of the street to see if there was anyone who could potentially bring in some unwanted attention to them and once certain that there was no one there, Nicolo held out a hand to Ophelia and walked with her side by side. âMhm, where else do you think I hang out when my work finishes past midnight?â His words had a hint of humor in them as he spoke, opening the door for her and heading straight for the counter; ordering the usual. It was only when their orders were handed to them that Nicolo realized just how much he craved for the kebab, or for food seeing as it had been hours since he last had his meal. Turning to Ophelia, he gave her a nod before saying, âYeah, I think a walk would be nice. I also donât think he would --- Iâll just have to pay him double.â He didnât feel the need to reject the idea seeing as the temperature seems nice and the streets were pretty empty at this time of the night thus, he didnât have to be concerned much that anyone would recognize Ophelia. Once they were out, Nicolo took a quick bite on his kebab and as per usual, nodded at how savory it is. âYeah, right?â He uttered. âItâs one of my favorite kebab shops around.â
He was walking right next to her, merely enjoying his food when he realized what Ophelia was asking. It was a simple question yet one that he havenât heard in such a long time, which made the question sound new but familiar at the same time. âAre you asking for the whole history, why I decided to go towards this path of career? Or how exactly I landed on this position?â Nicolo asked, turning to look at her before letting out a chuckle. âIf youâre asking for the latter, I honestly donât know how. My superiors probably saw something in me that they couldnât on the others,â he went on. âI was told of this âspecialâ job one day; showed a bit of interest in it because apparently, it was a job that you wonât find anywhere else, and the next thing I knew, they were briefing me about this --- about you, the daughter of the president and how the president wanted the best secret service bodyguard to...well, guard you.â Nicolo paused as he was reminded of something before letting out a chuckle. âIt was actually kind of a big deal in the headquarters when it was announced that I got picked for the job ---- needless to say, those who had been in the service for five years or so werenât so...happy about it.â
x-kee-x:
A bright smile formed on her mouth again upon feeling the touch of his fingers on her cheek. She could never shake off her jovial when in his presence. He was the very fortunate guy to have her heart, so heâd always receive the best of her, and she could give a damn about what anyone though about him. William was the guy for her and she relished in the fact that he brought bliss into her life. âHmm, youâre right but the captain is just really pressuring us to get things right. Sheâs freaking out and taking it out on us, so, I predict Iâm gonna have a lot of practices like this,â she replied, shaking her head some. Sabrinaâs expression altered, now giving a sly smile when catching wind to what his last comment hinted towards. âWellâŠthat would definitely be lovely,â she declared, letting the slyness reek from the short chuckle she gave. âBut, is it weird that I donât wanna go home right now?.â
His eyebrows quirked up at her response to his insinuation, surprised that even after how bad her day seem to have went, she still wanted to take another stop somewhere before actually going home. Still, William did not oppose the idea and merely gave her a shrug. âIt is weird,â he uttered, feigning uncertainty before a hint of smile formed his lips as he turned to her once more. âBut I like weird so...where do ya wanna go, babe?â His hand was back on the gearshift, getting ready to drive and leave the place. âWant to grab some food or maybe do a bit of shopping? Weâll go by the places you wanna go to before we go home and get to the good part,â he humored. âMaybe we should pick up some stuff to patch up my face first, hm?â

Ophelia was surprised as to how quickly he had rushed to her side; this was the first time she got to see him in action today. She wasnât going to lie it did make her feel better knowing that she had someone there with her who would defend her if this was to ever happen again and thankfully it didnât turn out as big as she thought it would when Nicolo had threatened the other man. As she grabbed onto his arm while waiting for the other man to wonder off going somewhere else in the club she looks back up at him nodding before removing her grip as she was shaken up by the experience that had just happened. âIâm fine⊠Iâm okayâ she spoke up as she inhales and exhales sharply, and only shakes his head disagreeing with him âitâs fine Nicolo reallyâ she promised as she gave him a small smile reassuring him that everything was okay. âitâs done now Iâm over it plus I packed a good punchâ she teased as she nudged his arm playfully not wanting him to focus on what had happened.
She looked behind Nicolo to see her friend still dancing the night away, she was somewhat hurt that her friends didnât come over and ask if she was okay but maybe that was because Nicolo was by her side. âIâm going to see if they want to go home though Iâm kind of tired and hungryâ she told him before walking away and discussing with her friends as to who was staying with who and who wanted to leave. It had turned out that none of them wanted to waste the rest of the night and had decided back and Ophelia was happy to go home now that she had someone whoâd look after her along the way. âCome on they wanted to stay back they have friends picking them up anywayâ she told him as she had walked out of the club with him by her side. As soon as she had stepped out of the club there were paparazzi who were waiting for her outside, covering her hands over her face as she tried blocking the flash that had came with every picture they had tried taking of the two and finally she had found the taxi that was going to take them home.
As she got inside the car, it was then when she had realised as to how hungry she actually was after being distracted during the middle of the night by her friends company. She had looked over at Nicolo who was seated beside her and let out a long sigh, âCan we ask him to get kebabs? Iâm starvingâ she mentioned as she gave him a small pout unsure as to whether or not he wanted to continue for the rest of the night instead of just taking her home.
Though it was pretty evident that Ophelia was shaken up by the whole thing, judging by the way she gripped so tight on his arm before she lets go of it, Nicolo decided not to push the question further and just went on with her words. âAlright,â he exhales, nodding slightly at her words though he wasnât entirely buying it. âAlright, if you say so.â Nicolo follows up, glancing over at the direction where the guy went just to make sure he wasnât gonna make a come back, before he turned to Ophelia once more as he caught the hint of teasing in her words and he could only give her a small smile in agreement. âYeah, you did. Iâm actually impressed. He probably deserves more than just a punch but that should teach him a lesson.â If there was anything that Nicolo hated more than cold blooded murders, thatâll be perverts and men who can never keep their hands to themselves. He can never stand them and if it so happened that he caught the situation earlier before Ophelia did something about it, he wouldâve definitely interfered, no doubt.
Nicolo nodded at Opheliaâs words before he watched her walk away and headed towards the place where her friends were at, keeping an eye on her to make sure no one would do the same thing that the man did earlier. For a couple of minutes, Nicolo remained in his place until he saw Ophelia making her way back to where he was without even a single friend to tag along. It didnât surprise him, really, and maybe it was a good thing that no friend --- drunk friend --- of hers would tag along since he didnât exactly want to deal with someone else who wasnât sober. âAlright, just stay behind me when we get out. News travel fast, Iâm guessing there are some paparazzi outside waiting for you already.â Nicolo uttered as he ushered her out  --- andhe was most certainly right with his guess seeing as blinding camera flashes greeted them almost as soon as they were out of the club, and he had to actually cover Ophelia somehow since he guessed the mediaâs attention was the last thing she wanted right now. Soon as their ride stopped in front of them, Nicolo was quick to open the door and guide Ophelia in before he sat in beside her and slammed the door like he was shutting the relentless paparazzi up.Â
The silence inside the cab was refreshing that Nicolo ended up letting out a sigh of relief. This was only just the beginning of his job in serving the presidentâs daughter and yet, things seems to escalate pretty quickly. How tiring it mustâve been for Ophelia to always be the center of the spotlight every time she goes out of her home. Her request caught Nicoloâs attention and as he turned to her, he tried to stifle a chuckle but to no avail. âAh, starving, arenât you?â He finally said, sounding a tad bit too amused than he intended as he watched the pout shape her lips before turning to the taxi driver and directing him to the only kebab place he knew would still be open at midnight. âIâm not gonna lie, Iâm in need of some food too. Downing three glasses of iced tea isnât as fun as it seems without having an actual food to accompany it.â Nicolo said, turning to Ophelia once more. âSo that makes the two of us.â
stardusxtbites:
Ophelia nodded and gave him a small smile in return pleased with the distance he would give her for tonightâs events. She had turned her back to her friends to see them whispering amongst themselves before bringing her attention back to Nicolo, âIâm sure itâs nothingâ she said with a small shrug of her shoulders. âIâll come over when I want to go homeâ she added and gave him a nod before turning on her heel and walking way back to her circle. The rest of the night had gone smoothly and after a few drinks one too many drinks that is Ophelia was starting to feel better than what she originally did than walking into this place. Her friends had noticed her talking to a man before coming over and of course started speculating asking questions like âDo you know him? Is he your boyfriend or something?â only allowing Ophelia to answer a Yes and a straight out No. However the few comments from her friends had seemed to bother her the most when they had talked about how attractive he was and she didnât know as to why, so the brunette had decided to settle for drinking those thoughts away that she just couldnât shake and didnât want to think of. She hated him this morning but so it seemed that the mere interest of her friends noticing the male had sparked something inside of her she wasnât sure of what.
She was having fun for the first time in a long time, her dad had tried to take her out of the spotlight as much as possible the typical famous father for wanting her to have a ânormal lifeâ had failed. She had been dragged events after events that had finished way later than sheâd like to and that had taken away time with her friends. The first time today she was happy, and had even a few moves on the dance floor that had been waiting for her to let loose since the moment she arrived. Her stress was starting to fade once more for the day, but like all good things some of them sadly end before sheâd like them too. A pair of hands had brought her attention when they were placed on her waist, someone she didnât know had decided to join in on the fun that she was having by herself with her friends but thatâs all tonight was supposed to be, no dates, no plus oneâs just a girls night. As she had tried to politely decline the strangerâs offer by pushing his hands off, his grip had become firm and Ophelia had began to panic as she had looked around her and had seen her friends too intoxicated to notice, and it was too loud to yell for their attention her eyes had darted across the room searching for Nicolo. It was dark and the lights continued flashing she wasnât sure as to where he was, until she finally spots his figure and notices his attention was always on hers. She gives him a worried look of uncertainty hoping the Nicolo would catch on, before signalling for his assistance and breaking away from the maleâs unwanted embrace to only turn to punch him square in on the face and notices the man reacting towards her reaction badly, as she takes a few steps backwards noticing the scene she had caused.Â
Since the moment that Ophelia joined her friends, Nicolo mostly spent his time sat on a bar stool that had a pretty decent view of the dance floor, which was crowded by people dancing their nights away. Back when he was probably younger than he is now, he wouldâve enjoyed the venue like everyone else does at the moment; the noise, the loud music and the laughter that come from each direction wouldâve been something that Nicolo enjoyed back in the days when he didnât care much about what he do in life and when he didnât have a reputation that needs taking care of. Those âwildâ days were all part of his past now, like a phase that wore off almost as quick as it came to his life. He was not about the noise nor the party anymore. He was more about being serious with his job, maintaining his good reputation with his job and anyone who may have known him and being mindful of his actions knowing that every thing heâll do since the moment he started serving for the secret service wouldâve had a great impact in his career and his life, too. And so, like he promised, Nicolo spent the rest of his evening sipping on a glass of none alcoholic drink, waiting and observing as he tried to keep an eye on Ophelia as much as he can. He can tell she was having fun. Even from a distance, Nicolo could make out the smile that shaped her lips everytime she converses with one of her friends, as well as the laughter that seemed to be filled with real joy even when he couldnât hear it from the noise. Still, he knew that she was having the best time of her life and maybe, thatâs all that matters. He wouldnât want to end up dealing with how bad her night went on their way back to the executive home...that wouldâve been too much to handle.
But as the night grew old, the people in club seemed to have grown way wilder than they already were earlier when Nicolo and Ophelia arrived at the place. He turned to his side and heard some sort of discourse between a group of people, which was eventually resolved by two security personnel, and then, a man was escorted out for reasons that Nicolo didnât even bother knowing. Still, he remained on his bar stool for awhile until he caught sight of Ophelia in the dance floor with a man dancing with her. At first, Nicolo couldnât make out whether or not she came to the dance floor with him but as the flashing lights hit them, he started sensing that something was not right. Ophelia didnât seem like she was enjoying it and a few moments later, she started turning her head in each direction; as if she was looking for someone....as if she was looking for him. When their eyes met, Nicolo knew for certain that she was indeed looking for him, asking for his help and he was quick enough to get to his feet and strode and pushed his way to get to the dance floor ---- and halted just a few meters away from Ophelia when her action caught him by surprise: she punched the man straight in the face. As she stepped back, Nicoloâs hands caught her by the shoulders, his hold on her was firm before his hand then held her by the wrist and he stepped in front of her so he can deal with the situation. The aggravator, Nicolo was certain now, was yelling curses aimed at Ophelia but even with the supposed intimidation, Nicolo wasnât fazed at all and only shook his head at the man. âYou know, I donât think the lady would've reacted that way if you didnât do something stupid,â he uttered, voice loud and firm enough that people circling them started looking at their direction. âIâd strongly suggest you let this go and keep your hands to yourself next time.â His words were blatant and Nicolo didnât even care if he comes off rather offensive --- especially not when dealing with perverts. If this man decides to fight him for this, he wouldnât back down. Thankfully, it didnât end that way and the man left, hand on his cheek where Opheliaâs punch landed, and the crowd went on with their business after a few moments of seemingly anticipating something that never came.
Nicolo then pulled Ophelia to the side, away from the crowd and from the dance floor, before he finally turned to face and address her. âAre you alright?â were the first words that came from his lips, eyes meeting hers as he waited for a response, hoping that the man didnât do anything much crazier or stupid. âI probably shouldâve sat somewhere nearby and kept closer watch on you.â
repeat after me...

itâs OKAY to drop threads.

It had seemed as though by the change of her attitude had soothed things between the two. Â she could actually see herself having some fun tonight and maybe he might even let loose a bit as well. She smirks when she sees reaction into going into her fatherâs room a place where not many people have been before except for herself and otherâs that have been invited in that and the fact that she saw him for the first time tonight scared shitless it was something sheâd make sure sheâd held onto. Â âOh please, youâll be fineâ she promised at his remark questioning as to whether or not this would be a good idea. Even if they were to get caught she knew sheâd take the blame for bringing him in here she knew the code after all.
As she waited outside for Nicolo to get ready keeping an eye out for anyone who walked passed at the wrong time to distract them. When he had finally walked out of her fatherâs bedroom a grin appeared on the girlâs face as she saw his complete outfit and was impressed that he had finally gave in and listened to her about changing maybe it was one point each for the both of them on their scoring system she thought. âYou clean up wellâ she admitted as she took a step closer to him just to do one more button that he had missed. âDone, weâre readyâ she said finally with a small nod of approval it had looked as if things were finally going her way, even though sheâd prefer for them not to be this way.
âletâs go shall we?â she insisted as she began walking down the long staircase to her limo where theyâd take her to the event that she was requested to be at tonight. The car ride there she was nervous to say the least she wasnât sure what to expect from tonightâs events and how theyâd go out being out in the public had always made her nauseous when she wasnât around a circle of friends in a home environment. She recalls many times where she has been out with her friends and people have called her names or thrown drinks and threatened to harm her as they had judged her for lies that were told on the Media. Her leg begins to shake letting her nerves get the best of her, but some part of her is actually thankful for once that Nicolo is there beside her somehow it eases her and to think she was so against it this morning â but sheâd never admit this out loud. As they arrived into the club she could hear the music blaring from outside before she had finally reached her group of friends who were sitting around in a corner in reserved seats and by the looks of things already intoxicated, greeting them happily before turning to Nicolo. âWhat happens now?â she shouted over the music making sure that he could hear her. âYouâll stay in our circle yeah?â
A soft chuckle escaped Nicoloâs lips at the sound of her comment. âI guess I do,â he said with a nod before adding: âI just prefer my boring leather jackets over fancy suits like this one.â And he did. He found wearing such casual clothes far more comfortable than dressing up in such fancy suits and looking all dapper, people might as well think he was related to the president himself. He watched as Ophelia took a step closer, unsure what sheâll do first until he realized that she was only going to do one more button he somehow missed earlier â perhaps, because he was trying to move fast so as to not risk being caught. He nodded once she announced that theyâre ready, signifying that they were about to leave, and took his clothes with him before following her down the long corridor; downstairs, and onto the door leading to the side of the building where a limo was waiting for them.
Nicolo was first to approach the limo, asking the driver to open up the trunk so he can put his stuff there, before ushering Ophelia into the car and sitting right next to her. The car ride towards the destination, which name hasnât been told to him yet and he just knew it was a club, was pretty quietâŠwhich was a surprise to Nicolo seeing as he expected Ophelia to be far more talkative and excited now that they were on their way to the party she seemed to have been dying to attend. Yet, as he turned to look at her, he couldnât help but notice the uneasiness etched on her face and though he wanted to ask if she was okay, he decided not to and merely stayed silent for the rest of the ride. It wasnât long until Nicolo caught sight of the neon lights that showed the sign of the club and once the limousine pulled over, he was quick to hop out and offer his hand to Ophelia before quickly ushering her inside; a hand being placed gingerly on her lower back as they went inside the club, loud music immediately blasting from the speakers. God, how he hated these sort of venues.
He was partly distracted by the noise but was able to hear Opheliaâs words over it. âYou can stay with your friends,â he said loud enough for her to hear over the music. âIâll standby somewhere near you and where I can easily get to you when something goes wrong,â he stated, hoping that his words merely just words and wonât happen in reality, and he gave her a small smile, âI wouldnât want to get in the way with what you came here for. Just catch up with your friends and have fun. Iâll be right here.â

x-kee-x:
The eyes on her expression widened a bit as she listened to the explanation he gave as to why he looked as such. She wasnât surprised learning this, and was glad he was actually able to be here right across from her despite the fight. âHmm, well at least you kicked his ass. Thatâll teach him to start some mess with my boo,â she pouted her lips, continuing to caress his cheek. She didnât want to rub too hard while doing her short observation of his bruises. His face just looked like it was in pure pain from where she was looking. Sabrina wasnât convinced that they were minor, however, she didnât want to be too annoying by continuing to illustrate that she was still worried, even if she couldnât help it. âWe really need to get you cleaned up though. You got some kisses waiting on ya,â she said, throwing out a short giggle after pulling back now. She laid back in her seat, still facing him, before sighing some as she prepared to address how her day was. âBut, itâs no problem. Youâre here now, so thatâs all that matters. You saved me from the clutches of this building. Practice today wasâŠa lot. Iâm just glad Iâm done for the week,â the dancer stated, not failing to let her relief show in her tone of voice. âCan we just find something to take my mind off of it please?â
Her statement wouldâve made him laugh if not for the pain he was feeling all over his face. Being understanding and non-judgmental were just a few of the many things he loved about Sabrina and those very traits were not something heâd find in just any girl. William may have had histories with different women in the past but most of them either breaks up with him because of how he lives his life ( or mainly, of how he is as a person ) or they nag the shit out of him that he ends up dumping them for another. With Sabrina, there was none of those bullshit and it may as well be the reason why he have been with her longer than he had been with the others. âAh, yes. Cleaning up the wound will sure help,â he said as he smiles weakly and ever so slightly. âAnd the kisses would help too.â William humored as he reaches for her cheek merely to caress it. He then proceeds on listening to how her day went, wincing partly because of his injuries and partly because of her story. âYou really shouldnât be pushing yourself too much, babe.â William says with a hint of concern in his tone. âWell, do you want to pick something up or we can just go straight home? I know a couple of things that could take your mind off of your pretty shitty day,â he humors, knowing for a fact that she probably got what he meant.
stardusxtbites:
She had to admit talking to him about the situation made her feel at ease knowing that they could at least put some ground rules in place to make this easy for her. âFair enoughâ she answered being happy with the end result and that was the most important thing to her, that she was happy. âDid you ever think that maybe I want to look after myself because Iâm sick and tired of everyone jumping out of their way for me?â she questioned being totally honest considering theyâd spend a lot of time together. âLike I know itâs your job everything but I couldnât let someone go down for meâ
Ophelia sucks in a deep breath as he begins to zip her up, moving her hair to the side as she listens to him speak before turning around to face him. Her brown eyes looking into his own, âThank youâ she mumbles and for the first time today she actually thanks him thatâs completely different than what heâs here to do. âIâm sure he wouldnât even notice he has that manyâ she said with a small shrug of her shoulders, as she grabs his forearm. âIâll take you I know the codeâ she stated as she began to pull him in the direction she was walking into her fatherâs room.
As she had reached her fatherâs bedroom and entered in the code to enter into his room, she opened the door and made her way over to her fatherâs wardrobe. âPick whatever you like we donât have to match or anything,â she teased as she directed him to his formal wear. âIâll be outside, Iâll give you a signal if anyone comes inâ she said jokingly before winking at the male and walked out of her fatherâs bedroom.
Ah, so it wasnât plain stubbornness then, Nicolo thought as he listened to her words, realizing that there was still so much to her that he couldnât see --- not for now, at least, but judging the way her reasoning sounded, he felt as if she was more than just the typical headstrong daughter of a powerful man. Perhaps, she wasnât typical at all and he was judging her far too early. âI can only imagine,â he uttered as if to sympathize, understanding that it may have been really tiring for someone like her when everything was always handed to her on a silver platter. He never knew what it was like to have such fame; have such wealth or even, power and so the least Nicolo can do was to keep an open-mind and understand. âBut you know, think of it this way: not everyone has the same privilege as you do so...instead of going against it, why donât you just...be thankful, at least?âÂ
Hearing her say âthank youâ was the last thing that Nicolo expected for tonight and yet, even when it was just a mumble, the message was clear and he could only give her a slight nod as if saying âyouâre welcomeâ would be an odd thing to do. As she gets hold of his forearm and leads the way, dragging him to the seemingly endless corridor once more, Nicolo had no other choice but to follow. âAlright. I just wanted to make sure I wonât get in trouble for this,â he stated since the last thing he wanted was to earn a bad record of being âfiredâ simply because he borrowed one of the many designer suits that the president had without a direct permission from him. Just the thought of it made him wince and yet, here he was, still letting Ophelia to play dress up.
Once inside the presidentâs most private place that was his bedroom, Nicolo suddenly felt like backing out. He walked into the walk in closet, unable to even process just how many designer suit and other clothing item there was around him; barely processing Opheliaâs words until he realized that she was about to leave him on his own and Nicolo quickly turned around to say, âWait, I donât think thi--â but was already too late and the door behind him shuts. â---this is a good idea. Jesus,â he breathes out. If he ends up getting fired for this, well, it wonât be worth it but maybe...just maybe, he was exaggerating and was being paranoid so he just went on with the flow and tried to find himself a decent suit that would fit him and would suit his sense of style. It wasnât hard to find the perfect clothes and it only took him a few minutes to get dressed, wearing the black suit that caught his eye earlier. Once the done buttoning up, Nicolo finally heads for the door and peeks, making sure it was still Ophelia who was waiting outside, before finally emerging from the walk in closet so she could get a better look. âWell...do I look like I was invited to a rich kidâs birthday party or more like Iâm attending a funeral?â

His day wasnât going entirely well and it left Rohan on the verge of wanting to punch someone in the face --- or at least, wanting to break something. Early that day, he got into a verbal fight with his band mate and then just recently, was told that his grade for one of his majors was going downhill and though he wanted to say he didnât care....well, he did and in the end, he couldnât afford taking the same course again for the second time --- not when he paid the tuition fee himself and wouldnât want to let the money go to waste. Maybe he really should consider just dropping out and really focus on his music; pursue a career there without needing a degree. But since he was already here, in this position, he needed to stay for as long as he can and try to retrieve his grade while he can before it was too late. Now, his instructor just announced such an impossible exam happening next week and he knew it was his only chance to prove that he can strive hard and earn a decent grade in order to pass. And so, even though hanging out by the library was never Rohanâs thing, he still decided to go for it in hunt for the textbook he needed to accompany him with his studying.
After spending a couple of minutes walking through different aisles of bookshelves in the university library, Rohan finally caught sight of the vibrant red spine of the book which was all alone and on its own at the end of the fifth aisle. Soon as he got hold of it, however, another hand reached for it the same time as he did and he couldnât help but look over to his side, see who the person may be --- and ended up frowning once he realized who the other person was. Red, the last person he wanted to see in this already god-awful day. With a humorless chuckle, Rohan uttered, âLook, I donât care if you are here for this book but you better get your hand off it because I need it more than you probably do.â

Her vision changed course from her just staring at the busy street to Williamâs car the moment her ears captured the horn and his voice. An extensive smile evolved on her lips as she skipped towards the car, excited that he had finally arrived. If there was anything, or anyone sheâd want to indulge herself in after an annoying day of practice, it was him and nobody else. There were times where even her close friends would be put on the back burner. It wasnât necessarily fair, but at least it wasnât a routine thing, she always told herself. Once she approached the vehicle, she immediately hopped in the passenger seat, throwing her bag in the back âHey babe,â she spoke, preparing to reach over and give him a kiss, but she immediately halted, pulling back, once his obviously injured face caught her eye. Sabrina didnât notice it right away as she was just immensely ready to get inside of his vehicle. âWill, what happened to your face? My god, did you get into an accident or something?â she asked, with concern embedded in her tone. She couldnât help but lift hand in order to gingerly place it on cheek in order to aid her with getting a better look. Being completely solicitous about those she deemed people she cared greatly could be turned on in a instant.
As much as he wanted to smile at her presence, William was unable to do such when half of his face was numb and his lip cut deep enough that blood oozed from it. If there anyone who could instantly cheer him up from the bad shit he just went through earlier, it could only be Sabrina and her ever sweet, gentle face. Soon as he realized that she hadnât noticed his injuries and was leaning in to give him a kiss, which was a normal thing between the two of them, Will ended up wincing seeing as kissing her wouldâve hurt his still-untended wound. To his relief, though, she finally noticed it and halted half way only to express her to-be expected concern. A half-chuckle, half-groan escaped from Williamâs lips as he turned to her and proceeded on explaining what just happened. âNo, I didnât get into an accident. I probably wouldnât be here if I did,â he humored, still wincing since speaking wasnât any easy for him either. âSome dipshit started a fight with me earlier; threw a left straight to my face and you know me babe,â he sighed, âI donât just let that kind of stuff go so I didnât leave until he was down on the ground and unable to move.â There was a hint of pride in his tone despite the injuries he had from the said fight, as if he himself wasnât feeling any pain right now. âAsshole didnât die, which is kinda good. But he had it worse than me so donât worry,â William reassured even when convincing her that he was fine might be ineffective with his purplish bruise on his cheek present. âEnough about me, howâs your day been? Iâm sorry I got caught up in that fight, which is why I picked you up a tad bit later than I promised.â

Having only met each other half an hour ago the playful somewhat serious banter had already started between the two, and if he was going to be here during her fathers presidency she might as well make the most of it. There was some part of her that wanted to make his job a living hell, so difficult for him that he resigns and leaves but she knows her father well she knows that heâd do this again and try and find someone else. If it wasnât going to be him it would be someone next in line and going by her fatherâs judgment she has to at least try and trust him to do his job and to do his job well. Â
Ophelia had decided to let his comment slide, he had won there was no denying that. There werenât many people in Opheliaâs life who could manage to shut her up, and having known him just under an hour ago there was some boundaries he was testing. He was already challenging her and putting her on edge something she wasnât used to â anyone who knew who her knew she was the top dog so to be quiet or stand down from another comment was something unknown to her territory. She however scoffs, âwhateverâ she mumbles under her breath.
âIâm not saying itâs a bad thing, Iâm saying I donât need itâ she added and it was the truth she didnât need protection her father had signed her up for all these defense classes when he was ruining for president and she considered herself to be a rather fit person. âSo thereâs boundaries?â she asked unsure as to the whole situation, âcan I make a few rules then or are you bounded by my fatherâs contract that I had no idea about â you do know I had no idea about you coming here right?â she asked unsure as to what her father might have told him, either way she was being unnecessary harsh to him when he had first arrived. She looked at the dress that he picked before turning away and looking at herself in the mirror, judging his sense of taste before giving a small shrug of her shoulders, pleased with his choice for tonightâs outing wear. âNice choiceâ she commented at least soothing the conversation out and trying to have some civilisation here. âlook Iâm not saying thereâs anything wrong with your jacket I just didnât want you to be the odd one outâ she answered bluntly. âIâm going to changeâ she announced as she carries her dress with her to her bathroom leaving him in the bedroom, knowing that heâd have to stay with her and mind her while she goes on about her day. As she came out with the black dress that he had chosen and ready for tonight party. Ophelia cleared her throat to grab the males attention, âCan you zip me up? itâs a hard zipperâÂ
There was something about the fact that Ophelia only managed to mumble a word, one that was overused by those who find themselves unable to conjure a much stronger response to someone elseâs statement, that Nicolo subtly pride himself in. Just when he was starting to form his own deductions about Ophelia and her evidently sharp tongue, she managed to surprise him by uttering such weak, feeble retort that wouldâve made him laugh if only he really had known her well and if deemed appropriate. Maybe she just didnât care about his mere words that she found it easier to just brush it off  --- or maybe, just like thought, her stubbornness gets the best of her and sheâd rather maintain her obstinate facade than actually admit to the fact that he had a point and that, he won.
Heaving a sigh at her statement, Nicolo attempted his best not to shake his head nor point out that she was being so hardheaded. He wasnât hired to lecture the presidentâs daughter nor was he hired to give her some sort of life lessons; help her refine her ethics and make her a better person anyway so he didnât bother. If he looked at it on a different way, she was amusing; even her sarcasm and acerbity was something that Nicolo appreciated and found entertaining. âYou donât need it now but you donât know how crazy the world and the people can be,â Nicolo responded with a shrug, wanting to say that he have witness a lot of bad things in the past but decided to spare her the details....for now. âAnd of course, there are,â he affirmed. âI wasnât told that you werenât told about this whole thing --- just that I should come here, start my job and make sure I do it well.â Though what he said was true, since his superiors only disclosed things he needed to know and nothing more or less, it didnât surprise him to find out that her father didnât inform her about the changes nor the fact that she was going to have a personal bodyguard whoâll follow her wherever she had to go and where she needed to be secured. Judging by her reactions earlier, even now, telling her beforehand of the changes wouldnât have made any difference anyway. "And as for your earlier question, as long as your rules donât go against your fatherâs and what my superiors briefed me about, then, weâre not going to have any issues.â Nicolo uttered with a nod upon hearing her agreement with his choice.
Her insistence about him, having to change his clothes, was enough to make Nicolo give up and utter a firm, âFine,â before watching her disappear to the bathroom, leaving him on his own in her bedroom. He waited for about five minutes before he heard the bathroom door unlocking and Ophelia emerges with the dress he chose for her, looking undeniably stunning. For a moment, Nicolo remained on where he stood, seemingly rooted on the spot for a fraction of second until she broke the silence with her request and he had no other choice but to oblige. Clearing his throat as well, he uttered, âSure,â in a nonchalant manner before approaching her, halting just behind her to zip up her dress. As his fingers worked on zipping up her dress, he couldnât help but somehow stare at her bare, unblemished back --- partly because he was concentrating on his supposedly easy task and partly because he was concentrating on not letting his hand or fingers brush against her skin. "There. All done.â Nicolo finally said as he let go of the pull tab; took a step back and giving her a small smile. âYou sure your dad wouldnât mind if I wear one of his suits tonight?â
