Such a Quiet Night...
It's too quiet and I'm completely bored....
1 Scotch, 1 Beer, 1 Whiskey
Adam listened to her and nodded as she spoke, following her. “I’m sorry, I just had a hard d…”, he said but the rest of the sentence didn’t come out as he saw Vivian moving so fast. Supernaturally fast. Now this was a problem, he couldn’t ask her about anything because she would know instantly he knew about supernaturals and could think he was one himself. So he kept quiet, quickly walking towards her to help. “Are you okay?”, he questioned, forcing a smile. “Did you get hurt?”
Vivian brushed him off, moving forward. "I'm fine. Just tripped on a tree root is all." She replied coldly, angry at herself and this life she now had to live. "It's just through this line of trees and we'll be there" She replied trying to slip back into the good mood she was in just a few moments earlier.
1 Scotch, 1 Beer, 1 Whiskey
"I actually am.", he replied, smiling. "Are we visiting the lake or something? Is there even a lake here? I don’t know this place…", he muttered the last part of the sentence to himself, glancing around the darkness, his senses fully aware of everything. Adam wondered if this was some kind of trap, the girl in front of him wasn’t exactly ordinary and as far as he could tell, she wasn’t a human either.
"You seem very tense. Relax, we'll be there in a few more minutes." Vivian said to him, reassuringly. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she led him to one of her favorite spots in this tiny little town. Knowing that he had a gun on him did make her nervous. Eli had tried to tell her a little about being a lycan when she was first bitten but she only pushed him away and tuned it out at the time but what she did remember from the conversation was a that there were hunters out there as sort of a supernatural law enforcement. Eli had also warned her that sometimes the hunters didn't follow the rules and acted on their own vendettas. Lost in her own thoughts she tripped on one of the roots and caught herself quickly, faster than a normal girl who was slightly intoxicated would have. She cursed under her breath hating that she had to try twice as hard just to appear human.
Home Sweet Home...
Eli let out a long breath. “As well as can be expected. You? You look fine. Actually, you look really good considering.” He said, trying to be polite in his own way.
Vivian looked him straight in the eye, a wicked smirk on her lips. "Don't sound too surprised, I've always been good at keeping up appearances." She retorted, knowing how much truth rang in that statement. "I've been good." Vivian replied vaguely. It was the appropriate thing to say and she felt as though that was what he wanted to hear. She wanted to divulge more. To tell him that she was completely panicked and still struggling with her lycan side but that wouldn't be appropriate. She would figure it out on her own, just like she had to do when she was away at school. She took a long sip of beer while she pondered her thoughts.
Running, Always Running
[His eyes wandered around at all the people as they waited in line for a ride.]
I’ve been okay, still alive so can’t complain too much.
That's a very vague outlook on your life. Come on, tell me more.
1 Scotch, 1 Beer, 1 Whiskey
Adam narrowed his eyes when Vivian pulled him to the woods but eventually forgot about it. “And what are we going to do here, miss?”, he asked.
Vivian smirked and continued walking. "Are you a good swimmer?" She questioned him, continuing through the woods with ease.
Seems like you have a plan. [He continued to walk with her towards the Ferris Wheel] So how have you been?
I'm forming one. I've been good, a little tired but I'm used to it.
How have you been?
[Caleb followed her deeper inside the fair] Now what shall our first adventure be?
Ferris Wheel. Then we can get the lay of the land.
[A brow rose as his lips curled into a devlish smirk] I’m up for anything.
Well then, allow me to be your guide. *She smirked and took his hand, leading him further into the fair.
Any suggestions?
Maybe one or two......if you'd care to try them out.
It suddenly just got better. Perhaps if I didn’t come by myself, because a fair alone is rather dull.
You just have to know how to make the dull seem fun.
I should have stayed at home.
Not enjoying the fair? I figured this would be the place for you, Mr. Socialite.
"Sounds good," he rang up the purchases and smiled. "You were never here, but I do hope fate shall bring us together in the near future."
Vivian smirked. "You should be careful what you hope for. Things may not turn out the way you want." She said with a double meaning.
Sure, Does that mean it was good or bad?
It was a good night.......but it lead to a very terrible hangover. How's the job treating you?
Well I’m sorry my lady, would you want your egg come in the gold or silver tableware… What’s up with you, tough night?
Don't make me punch you. *sighs* Can I get a cheeseburger, fries and bacon too?
Yeah, I was out late because of work and then I went out with this guy and we drank. A lot. Oh and can you make that burger a double?
Are you really asking me for wine with your breakfast?
Yes I am.....and could you not talk so loud? I feel like my head is going to split in half.
