If you listened to others long enough, you picked up on a few things over time. The nuances of a voice could weave stories that were far more interesting that initial presentation. He lived for such tales. So he listened to her, ever so carefully, and repressed the smile that threatened to peak along the length of his lips.  “Never damn a strength of the enemy.” He had seen too many demons curse an angel and then quickly find their demise hitting them square in the face. He’d seen more than a couple close calls, and had met death twice before...He wasn’t looking to set up another sort of meeting with them anytime soon. He breathed out and leaned back in his chair. “They’ll often use it against you.”

His hands shifted and continued to peel the fascia from the surrounding tissues of the soul he was working on. Once upon a time he would stop to entertain such guests, but those years were long behind him. He had since decided to keep going on with his work...If somebody unexpected dropped by, well, they would have to deal with it. The demon looked down after being asked the question, gauging the expression of pain and horror on the soul’s face as he tossed a general bit of wet tissue in his visitor’s direction. “What do you think?” he asked the tormented one, as he finished disconnecting the fellow’s spleen and raised it out of his thorax like a prized trophy. The soul did nothing more than to continue to try and scream.“Well it seems Mr. Lloyd doesn't have an opinion on the matter,” the demon uttered as he continued to inspect the organ he had obtained.“Why not?”

He shut the book with an irritated snap and made the object vanish from their sight. It could go back on the bookshelf in Hell, where it belonged. It took quite a bit of focus not to roll his eyes at the boy. “Your next word to learn will be imperceptive,” the demon drawled, “Then after that will be equivocator.” At this rate the demon might as well start a list for him.

The first definition: use or expend carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose.” He glanced up from the dictionary and seamlessly made eye contact with the Winchester. “Would you like me to spell it for you?”
