One of the wildest mental gymnastics of this whole thing is people denying the obvious influencer push by buying the narrative that she set up the ig account as to separate it from her tattoo account because people were messaging her there about non-tattoo things. That doesn’t make any sense like this just adds a second place for people to harass you, and also he promoted it directly to his 4.5 million followers, in case the weirdos weren’t aware of exactly where to go to send their hate or love or whatever.

Mind you, I don’t blame her for the influencer push it’s a tough economy might as well get a monetizable audience out of all this. But people who are trying to whitewash it or put it on a pedestal versus seeing it for the cynical thing it clearly is don’t make any sense to me.

I agree anon, that was a very tranparent excuse that made very little sense and I personally don't believe she was being flooded with messages that were harassing or even mildly annoying or bothersome on that other account, and as you mentioned there would be no real reason to believe that starting a new account would solve that if it was happening. It's also hard to believe that she never wanted anyone to find or follow the "professional" account since she was clearly okay with it being linked in all of the articles that we got during the first big PR push for her around VF.

Love your PR posts and your comments I see on other blogs. We’ve all seen PR pushes before of relationships (some real and serious, some casual and a means to an end) but this has got to be one of the most blatant and over the top pushes I’ve ever seen. Everything seems calculated. I’d be happy to read any other PR musings you have about all of this.

Thank you anon and I agree, it is fully blatant and yet we still see people every day insisting that there's no PR aspect to this at all and doing all kinds of mental gymnastics to explain away things that very clearly ping the radar. One of the wildest ones to me is the people who still insist that those beach pics weren't staged and that some Greek pap just happened to be gliding by on a boat at that exact moment saying to himself 'hey, isn't that the guy from that hockey show?'

I'm not going to give this article a click but in general I'm not the slightest bit surprised because this is exactly what I predicted would happen. In fact, I think people should be looking at that 'hate comment' that she quickly found and pinned with a lot more skepticism. And let me guess, there's a link to her new Instagram account in this piece of very serious journalism, correct?

that girl was in the relationship because she felt power over him. she the queen. she was the best he could do. the baddie he bagged while he's a nobody.

there is no fucking way someone like that would accept the title of "got left behind when the nobody guy she did a favor by dating is now living his best a-lister life, while she is the nobody". she will make sure to get her swipes in. she will paint herself as the victim, which has begun btw. she supported him when he was a nobody. she supported him when his fans abused her. and he left her anyway.

and also wait for her to debut her new guy. that tower, or things getting out of hand or her settling into her own status, she's gonna get the upper hand in this.

Agreed on the victimization narrative in progress, anon. I've also always thought the "role reversal" theory regarding their relationship was likely, where she was originally considered the 'cool one' while he was lucky to have "bagged" her. (Something I personally suspect he was reminded of regularly.) I don't get the sense that she's the type to just calmly and maturely roll with those roles being so thoroughly reversed. I also can't restate often enough that a competent PR team would have handled all of this so differently from the beginning.

I'm not sure how much he or his team knew about the bio change before it happened but based on the reactions across multiple platforms today and the fact that his followers keep dropping I would say it's already backfiring. A remotely competent PR team would have already pivoted to a different strategy days ago.

Like I was saying yesterday, I think the goal with the bio change and finding (or "finding") one hate comment from a sea of positive ones to pin is setting up a victimization narrative that she'll probably leverage to get more support and followers. Anon, I have to thank you for this because I just had such a good laugh imagining the hypothetical future scenario of her hard launching a new man on Instagram. Imagine the possibilities....

Right now I think it's a little too early to say and it depends on a couple of variables. For example, if the current Canadian clown show gets swapped out for a PR/management team that is actually competent, a lot can change. I will say for the tarot girlies in the crowd that I did a quick card pull on this situation and no joke, I got the Tower. So for now we just wait to see how long the structure holds.

Earlier today when I was turning this whole thing over from every angle including the most cynical ones, it crossed my mind to wonder whether K (or a certain PR team) was aware of the fact that Belmont Cameli's gf recently got a bunch of media coverage when she called out the Off Campus fandom. Now seeing that she's pinned a random person's hate comment on her first post, I fear that my antenna went up for a reason and we may have to brace ourselves for a round of planted articles about the evil fandom designed to garner sympathy and conveniently boost the new account at the same time.

I haven't read about that very specifically, but I would suggest that your question may be based on a possible false premise that they haven't been making time to see each other all along. Of course that still wouldn't make it easy since their schedules have been crazy but we don't quite know how much time they've been able to sneak in.

I just randomly and certainly for no particular reason at all remembered the section of my recent reading that covered H's team and featured themes like struggle, insecurity, being too committed to outdated systems or structures, and "a situation where certain members of the team fear that they’re not long for their roles because deep down they know they’re in over their heads and may lack the necessary experience and skill sets to meet the moment, and paradoxically that’s exactly the kind of insecurity that can sometimes cause people to stubbornly dig in on a less than ideal strategy rather than admit that they can’t craft a better one". Hi, I know you’ve commented on the marketing and PR of it all, so I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the Paris IG dump immediately being circulated by Elle, Hello Mag, and ET? Seems like an overreach to me, but Out Mag has also been heavily pushing the Hudson and Connor are bros narrative too (retweeting like 3 times). Also, no worries if you’d rather not answer, I’m just not well versed in this sphere. Thanks!

I may say more about this later but for now I'll just say that I had to laugh when I saw that ET was one of the first outlets to run with this because they were also one of the main outlets to really heavily push the f/c PR nonsense. Some outlets become known as the go to for this kind of thing for a reason. Let's also note that there was a pic in the dump of them with Yasmin and ET actually cropped Yasmin out so it would just be the two of them. I think it's very fair to say that Hudson and Yasmin hanging out would be a more organically interesting story to more people since she's actually famous too so in my opinion taking the step of cropping her out and acting like she wasn't there makes it clear that this is intended to push a specific narrative.
