Derpy tiger cub! Alternatively, Jinu could just be bad at making appropriately sized hats. 🤣
Ammy is not alone anymore! Have Shiranui in Mucha’s style!
let's theme Fuu x Ferio Week this year! which theme would you most like?
fandom tropes (fluff, angst, AU, etc)
green & gold themed prompts (grass, sunset)
tarot cards (can interpret by name of card or meaning)
elements (fire, water, you get it)
song lyrics (snippets to inspire you)
virtues/vices (pride/humility, greed/generosity, lust/chastity)
Cephiro-inspired (pillar, other world, sword)
I have an idea for a theme set! (comment/reblog please!)
I don't like any of these themes/don't want a theme
remember that you're free to interpret prompts however you like or ignore them entirely!
Fuu x Ferio Week will be Sept 13-19 this year!
official post with prompts/etc will come later :)
Zoey has a new partner in yapping about films (they talked through the whole night)
I wanted to set you free.

RuJinu Cafe presents... This or That: A KPop Demon Hunters 1st Anniversary Event
💜 What is This or That?
This or That is a weekend-long, RuJinu fandom event occurring from June 19, 2026, to June 21, 2026. It's loosely inspired by the "This or That?" game, where you choose between two things and explain why to spark conversation. Each day is assigned two prompts, and you create works based on which prompt you prefer (or you can fulfill both prompts)! Prompts are open-ended to allow for your own interpretation.
💜 What are the prompts?
June 19: Shame OR Acceptance
June 20: Caged OR Freedom
June 21: Darkness OR Glowing
💜 What work is accepted?
All fan creations are accepted! Art, writing, music, photo edits, video edits, or something else–as long as it is RuJinu! You choose how simple or elaborate your work is, from a sketch to a fully rendered piece, a drabble to a multichapter fic, it’s up to you!
We accept NSFW works as long as they are properly tagged or, when needed, censored.
Works must be newly created for this event, not old works that are back-tagged to meet the event's criteria.
We do not accept any works generated by AI.
We will reblog This or That works! Mention us (@rujinucafe) and use the tag #rujinuthisorthat so we can share your creations. If you write fics, add them to our AO3 collection!
💜 Where do I post?

Posting anywhere else? Send us an ask with the link, and we can post it for you on our social media accounts!
RuJinu Cafe will host this event on Tumblr and Bluesky. If you'd like to host this event on another social media platform, please ask permission from the mods first.
❄🎶JELSA AS RUJINU🎶❄

AO3 saying they will not be banning AI-generated works on their platform
I agree with them and I respect them for this. no, I am not a fan of AI-generated fics, but as I’ve said many times before in the past:
AO3 was built with the “complete anti censorship” stance. them banning AI-generated works would be them going against their own core values of “no censorship”. and “no censorship” means nothing is censored. and that includes works you dislike for ethical or whatever reasons.
as of now, most (I believe) of creators who use AI to write for them properly tag their works as “AI-generated”. so you can safely filter these works out if you don’t wish to consume them. but I have no doubt the majority (if not all) of them will stop tagging their works as AI if AO3 actually bans AI works, which means these AI works will be untagged. you can never know for sure if the fic you read is AI or not, since they aren’t properly tagged anymore.
whether or not you like it, AI is getting better and more human-like, meaning it’s getting harder to spot when a fic is AI.
speculation, witch hunts, wrongful accusations and harassment harm real writers, as well as writing community as a whole, as much as AI does, if not more.
it’s impossible for AO3 to effectively ban and remove “only AI-generated works” without innocent human-made works getting wrongly marked as AI and deleted in the process. so if AO3 were to ban AI-generated works, it would mean
there was a chance of a human-made work getting wrongly marked as AI and taken down
there was a chance of an AI-generated work being wrongly accepted as human-made
fandom drama could and would cause innocent writers to get their human-made works falsely reported as AI
human-made fics that “upset people”, in terms of contents, could and almost certainly would be reported as AI, because there were people who “found the fics inappropriate/disgusting and wanted them taken down” — and the only way they could do that was by falsely reporting these fics as AI
AO3 volunteers would have to decide which works were AI “based on vibes alone”. and not only was it impossible for them to always make the correct judgement, there simply weren’t enough volunteers and time for every single work that was reported as AI to be thoroughly read by a human volunteer
no, “AI detector” is unreliable and the machine itself is also AI — it’s known to have incorrectly marked human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made.
TL;DR — no matter how much you hate AI-generated fics, banning them would do more harm than good.
Apparently a lot of people get dialogue punctuation wrong despite having an otherwise solid grasp of grammar, possibly because they’re used to writing essays rather than prose. I don’t wanna be the asshole who complains about writing errors and then doesn’t offer to help, so here are the basics summarized as simply as I could manage on my phone (“dialogue tag” just refers to phrases like “he said,” “she whispered,” “they asked”):
“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.
“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.
“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.
“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”
“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”
“There’s no dialogue tag after this sentence, so end it with a period rather than a comma.” She frowned, suddenly concerned that the entire post was as unasked for as it was sanctimonious.
And!
“If you’re breaking dialogue up with an action tag”—she waves her hands back and forth—”the dashes go outside the quotation marks.”
Reblog to save a writer’s life.
Thank you
Oh my god thank you. No wonder grammarly keeps complaining about my punctuation when I boot my writing up into word counter
“Yippie!” I said, while simultaneously writing notes down like a crazed beast.
"Rumi," he says in dim relief. "You're late. Sit down, meet my family. My sister, my mother-" He gestures to the other figures in the darkness. When she focuses more intently on them, the sight leaves her at a loss for words.
Two faceless dolls robed in intricate garments, stiff-limbed, lean against the lip of the table — built entirely with bound rice straw. Jinu reaches over to press a hand to the smallest figure's back and a few old coins nestled in its faceless head slip free with a clatter on the table. She can't help the dread that floods her when Jinu turns his pleasant stare back toward her. "We were just finishing dinner. No worrying about an empty stomach, don’t you think? There's plenty left for the king's most welcomed company. You're — pop star royalty, right?"
There are many plates situated on the table; one is decorated with painted stones in stacks, and another platter is lined with dark tree husks and decomposing lotus roots. Bowlfuls of mud sit untouched in front of his straw family, while Jinu selects a flat clay pancake from a pile in front of him. As he brings it to his lips, fingers scabbed with mud, Rumi recognizes the tray he had taken it from is already half empty.
Words from their previous conversation echo in her mind — intimate recollections of Jinu playing at the river's edge with his sister, creating make-believe meals from the unpalatable soil around them.
("I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve pretended to eat green onion pancakes-")
"Don't!" she cries out, then deftly smacks the molded mud from his hands. It falls and makes a wet, awful sound on the floor beside him. The look Jinu shoots her is both astonished and soured before he leans down and tries to salvage the splattered remains.
"What are you doing?" he hisses, "Wasting palace food like that—"
His breath is punched out of his body when she barrels into him, lips hushed by the soft curve of her shoulder as she presses him close.
