I'm Into You || Vladimir and Sati
“You think you’ll get grumpy enough that I’d rather be dead than be with you? I highly doubt it.” […] “Oh? What would you suggest for entertainment, Mrs Stringer?” […] “I’d live there if it were more convenient.” […] “Yeah, I prefer calling you my wife too. Much easier.”
“I don’t know, maybe? I mean, you’ve never seen me properly and seriously grumpy,” Sati said, and pulled her shoulders up in a light shrug. He’d seen her be angry, upset, but never properly grumpy like she knew she would be if she tried staying in bed for an entire day. She imagined she’d even get sore from being in a lying position all day, especially since she couldn’t lie on her front anymore. But maybe it would be good for her to just relax for a full day, and not think about anything other than letting herself be completely calm. Vlad had such a way of twisting and turning her words, making every possible situation seem dirty, and she felt her cheeks heating up once more, and she shook her head and pushed some of her hair to cover her cheeks. “You make everything dirty. But what you’re thinking about, isn’t necessarily relaxing, is it?” she asked, knowing that she was probably right. Unless he thought they would just stay in bed and touch and cuddle all day, which always, without fail, ended up resulting in something more. Vlad was just being cheeky talking about it out in the open like this, knowing that she would end up blushing, and he did so enjoy annoying her, as she either got grumpy or ended up blushing, and he enjoyed both of those things. “I’d want to live there too. Except it would be a very long walk, no electricity… Maybe once we get back to one of the districts. We can find a small place by the water.” Sati figured they would never be able to afford something very big, but they would always find something to fit their needs. As long as they had room for the two of them, and their daughter, it would all be good. “So that’s why you wanted to marry me, hmm? You wanted to be able to call me wife, and say my surname. I had no idea you were so selfish,” she teased him, the corners of her lips pulling up in the smallest of smirks. Of course, she was only teasing him, like she enjoyed doing. Sati knew though, that he was happy to finally not be the last Stringer in the world, and together they could make even more. Finally he had a family again.
“I know baby, I’m only teasing. You’re perfect.” […] “Shocked that your husband is a clever man, who sorted out everything before we got here, who would never let his wife worry over something stupid like money? You don’t know me at all.” […] “I think you should.” […] “No, no. I just said it’s hot. I’m just flushing because of the heat.”
It was strange, how her body was changing, and how she couldn’t do absolutely nothing in terms of getting used to it. Once she had grown to a certain size, and gotten used to the feeling, she would grow some more, and had to get used to it all over again. Not even Vlad’s shirts fit her anymore, not like they used to, anyway. For the most part, she wore some very big sweaters, as they were easy to put on, even though she ended up looking like a bit of a slob. Sati didn’t mind though, and Vlad didn’t seem to mind it either. “Oh yes, perfect,” she said, rolling her eyes a little, but she appreciated the compliments still. There were days she felt amazing, and other where she didn’t feel good about any of it. Luckily there had been more of the good days though, thanks to Vlad. “No, I’m not shocked, you’re amazing. I was shocked that they can actually demand that much money for a piece of chicken,” Sati corrected him, and reached across the table to take his hand, gently running her thumb over his knuckles. “You’re amazing. Thank you.” If Vlad said she had no need to worry, then she would keep from doing just that. Worrying only led her stressing, and she didn’t want any of that for their wedding they. She rolled her eyes and pursed her lips, trying to keep herself from blushing again. “You’re filthy today. Why?” she whispered, leaning over the table as best as she could, looking intently into his eyes. Vlad hadn’t been like this in a while, but it was fun to get that side of him back. Maybe it was their night apart that had done it, she didn’t know. But he was being far more dirty than he had been for a while, and Sati was kind of loving it. “No, don’t try to hide it, you’re blushing, and if I didn’t have a basketball under my dress, I would reach right over and pinch your cheeks. That’s adorable. Second time I’ve seen you blush today.” She was referring to when he stumbled over his words during the ceremony, where he had blushed like crazy. It just hadn’t been the right time to mention that she had seen it, and they both knew it. But she could tease him now though, finally.

You wanted to be able to call me wife, and say my surname. I had no idea you were so selfish,” "Haven't I? I've seen you properly and seriously angry, and I still loved you then." He pointed out, grinning just a little. Although thinking about how angry she had been with him wasn't funny, he had a point. Vlad had loved her from the start, and he wasn't shy about telling her so. And he had been bad enough to make her hate him in a passionate kind of way, but that still didn't stop him loving her. He just couldn't help it. He was still convinced that no one could not love Sati, she was just so warm and friendly. Vlad was just, thankfully, the first to get to her. "Sex and orgasms lower blood pressure and release hormones that make you happy, and make you sleepy so you're more open to the idea of relaxation. So yes, I'd say it's relaxing." He grinned, not lowering his voice in the way he knew she wanted him to. He was being cheeky, talking about sex in a very public way when he could tell she didn't want to, but it was just so funny to see her reddened face when he said it. He wasn't being any worse than usual, and he knew that she usually wouldn't be so angry at him for such a normal conversation, but that was what made it funny. "My blushing bride." He whispered, brushing a finger over her cheek to push her hair back so that he could see it. "We'll definitely live near the water. We'll live where ever you want to. Just as long as you're not going to be scared of it this time?" He teased a little, giving her a knowing look. Sati was so scared of the open water of the lake, he couldn't imagine her near an ocean. But it was still beautiful to be near the water, and she would get used to it with his help. He liked being the one to help her anyway. "You didn't know I was selfish? Damn, and now you've gone and married me? Stuck now, baby." He shrugged a little, not apologetic at all. Sati knew the truth anyway, she knew that he loved having more family in the world, and that the idea of her being his wife had made him very happy for a very long time. Vlad laughed as the waiter came back with the beginning of their meal, just because he was embarrassed for having been caught awkward-kissing Sati. He let go of her hand and instead moved to nudge her foot with his own, glaring at her across the table as the waiter set down their food. "Thanks." He muttered to the man as he left, but the man didn't seem very friendly at all. Perhaps he knew that they weren't paying. “Oh yes, perfect,” [...] “No, I’m not shocked, you’re amazing. I was shocked that they can actually demand that much money for a piece of chicken,” [...] “You’re amazing. Thank you.” [...] “You’re filthy today. Why?” [...] “No, don’t try to hide it, you’re blushing, and if I didn’t have a basketball under my dress, I would reach right over and pinch your cheeks. That’s adorable. Second time I’ve seen you blush today.” Vlad smiled fondly at her, not even able to pretend with her anymore. He knew she was bad at taking compliments, but he didn't even care if she 'took' it, because it was just a fact. "I think you're perfect." He shrugged, before adding. "That's why I married you." Anyone that knew him well was surprised that Vlad had settled down, much less that he had settled down with a girl like Sati. He sort of loved that it surprised people though, because that just showed him how much he had changed. Vlad hated himself when he met her, but he didn't anymore. She had changed him into a likeable person, and while he could still easily go back to a manipulative asshole like before, he much rathered the person Sati was in love with. She was perfect for making him that way, and he wouldn't have 'settled' for anything less. He laughed and nodded, looking around at the full paying customers. "Be more shocked that people choose to pay that much for a piece of chicken. I'd expect it to be gold plated for the amount they're spending." He nodded, his voice actually lowered so not to offend any of the other patrons. It wasn't like anyone was forced to spend that amount of money on food, it was the people who chose to spend that much who were the stupid ones. He guessed that they were also paying for atmosphere, which Vlad could almost understand. He didn't know if it was the fact that he was already feeling so excited and giddy inside, just from the wedding itself, but he felt like he was looking at Sati through a whole new light. He had just never been happier, and he felt like his heart was in his throat. "It's about time you started believing in how amazing I am, thank you very much. You knew I'd have this sorted." He said, raising an eyebrow as if completely shocked by her ignorance. He was just a little shocked really, she knew him well enough to know that they wouldn't be paying for anything, and that he would have sorted something special, even if they had such little time to prepare. He was a romantic at heart, it just took someone like Sati to bring it out in him. He very carefully inspected the food on his fork before tasting just a little of it, and was surprised by how much he actually enjoyed it. It was almost worth just as much as they were supposed to pay. He laughed and bit his lip at her question as she leaned over the table, and did the same, just so that their faces were almost touching. "Because you make me filthy. I'm just excited, that's all." He didn't think he was being any worse than usual, but they were in public. Vlad normally kept it to himself when they were in public, but he just couldn't that night. He just wanted to be all over her and he didn't care who saw. He wanted everyone to know that she was his wife. He pointed his finger at her as if warning her and narrowed his eyes. "I... Shut up." He scowled a little and put a hand to his cheek. "I'm not good at this public stuff... Normally... I don't like being caught." He grinned just a little and sighed. He didn't mind being caught blushing by Sati, not really, not if that was what it took to show her how damn happy he was.
