Could you please recommend your personal favorites?
I answered another person that asked this a few weeks ago, but I realized I wanted to add more to the list and lost the ask when i deleted the post. I was gonna leave it, but I’ve gotten a few more asks for a list of my faves since then so I’ve finally updated and finished it. So disclaimer: this is gonna be a longass post because I’ve read almost exclusively vmin fics for the past three years, so I’ve got a lot in the archive, and it was rather hard to narrow it down. These are the ones I’ve gone back and reread over and over, and still continue to return to them. I’ll put them in fluff/smut categories, and for my absolute all time faves, I’ll put them in a group and give a bit of background as to why, despite being asked by no one to do so:) Hope you like them!

552 by annafeu
–Annafeu and minverse are two of the best fic writers I’ve ever come across, and I’m so proud that amazing writers like minverse and knth gets the recognition they deserve, but I really feel like annafeu doesn’t for how incredible and detailed and thought-out her characters and plotlines are. 552 is one of the first vmin fics I ever read, and even though it has a bit of gore/violence and that’s not normally the kind of stories I look for, what really draws me to her is that you can tell she does her research for every little fact and it just makes the story so incredibly realistic. Even though her fics usually have pretty heavy themes, those small scenes of calm and a pinch of fluff really mean so much more in contrast to the rest of the fic’s angst and I just really love how she develops her stories so much.
Fly Me To The Moon by dulcetlove
–This was another one of the first vmin fics I ever read. I always saw Jimin as super cute and sweet in real life, and this fic is the first one I came across where he’s written as the softest baby boy. I was kind of confused at first to the whole Big/Little concept, and I completely understand that it’s not everyone’s type of reading, but even though I’d never read a Big/Little fic before, it immediately became one that I kept going back to and still continue to go back and read. I love seeing Jimin and Taehyung’s characters development and the somewhat role reversal from the beginning until the end of the story. dulcetlove writes them pretty much like how I imagine they would in real life, and I love cannon characters. Overall it’s just really fluffy, and like 552, aspects of it might make some feel uncomfortable, but it’s one of my all-time favorite fics.
Jammed by minverse
–Alright, now Jammed is pretty much a universal crowd favorite. minverse is such a clever, detailed and funny writer who really makes you understand the characteristics of whichever member she writes about. This, along with 552 and Fly Me To The Moon was another one of the first few vmin fics I’ve ever read, and I was genuinely cracking up at certain parts. She just finds a way to make you fall in love with the characters and all their quirks. She’s so creative, hilarious, detailed, and talented. Additionally, for a side note: even though it’s not vmin, her yoonjin fic “Inc.” is also one of my favorite fics because she’s just hysterical in the dialogue she writes between the characters, and there’s side vmin which is a win for everyone.
Europa and the Storm That Never Ended by annafeu
-Quite possibly, this is might be my favorite fic of all time. I’ve already expressed my love for annafeu and her stories, and since I love fics that have the fluff-smut-angst combo, this fic is a favorite because it perfectly incorporates all three. She manages to make you come to your own conclusions without writing what exactly is happening in each character’s mind, and in this fic you can truly feel how trapped both Taehyung and Jimin feel and yet she does a really good job of making it evident that there’s no specified “bad guy,” as she explains in her endnotes. I really love this fic, and even though it doesn’t have that much smut (which usually is the make or break factor for my thirsty ass), I really love it and read the angsty parts over and over (which is another very rare thing for me).

-This fic…oh boy. It took me a good three readings for it to fully hit me how incredible it is. The first I was kind of just skimming through and waiting for the smut (yes, I’m that impatient, horny bitch), but then when I went back to reread it so I understood the dialogue of the smut scene, I was nearly tearing up during the story. By the third time really analyzing everything, I came to the conclusion that this is certainly one of my all-time favorite fics. This writer manages to make you feel just as torn as Jimin is between the two worlds, and you can feel Jimin going back and forth between acceptance of his new life and trying to find his way back home. You feel yourself wavering back and forth perhaps even more than Jimin, and this fic makes you absolutely adore Taehyung. Most fics make me love him, but this just broke my heart for him.
the truth runs wild by sesquipedalia
–I’m not huge on multi-chaptered fics usually, but I was kind of curious about this one due to the title being a lyric from a Troye Sivan song that I love, so I went ahead and read the whole thing, and holy shit. This writer is absolutely extraordinary in how beautifully they set this story. The dialogue, the imagery, the attention to every detail, all of the angsty buildup just made it impossible to stop going onto the next chapter until I had finished the whole fic in one sitting. It also has a historical fiction aspect to it, which is my absolute favorite genre. This is also one of the first a/b/o dynamics fics I’d read, and it made me really have an appreciation for that category of writing, whereas before I’d just thought of it as something to make the smut scenes hotter lol. There’s honestly not a whole lot I can say without giving mad spoilers to this one, but the thing that made me love it the most was definitely the suspense leading up to the climax.
i hate you (to the moon and back) by giventae
-Again, I’m not a huge fan of chaptered fics on average, and when I saw the word count I almost scrolled past, but this is another one that I followed through till the end and I’m so glad I did. It’s an enemies to lovers trope, and this was an odd one where I wasn’t really a big fan of how Jimin and Taehyung were written in the beginning, but the smut came quickly so I kept going. Then as the chapters went on and I started to see more about them and their backstory, I got extremely attached to them. It nearly blindsided me how deep the plot got given how fast it seemed to move at first. But by chapter three I could tell there was going to be a lot of layers unfolding, and by the end I realized almost every question I had was answered and all the loose ends were tied up. The character development, the angst, the smut, and the unexpected fluff were all such a delightful surprise and like the ones listed above, I’ve gone back to read it multiple times.
Misc:
All the Warm Colors by brittletrinket (I’m not sure if the writer is ever going to finish the rest of the chapters, but I really hope so. It’s a/b/o dynamics, and it’s pretty much all angst with some small fluffy moments from what I can see, but there might be smut later on? It’s really well written and the plot is really different from anything I’ve seen and I’m hoping she continues it)
