Happy to announce VYAYAM’s first SARVANG Yog 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training : https://goo.gl/th8MzW I invite you to join me at this training this fall <3
Body has a very short memory
Body doesn't remember, if you worked out yesterday, last week, last mont, last year! You need to work out today to benefit from it today. Don't stop now that you've started this journey.

A triangle pose reminds me of the trinity of mind, body and breath. All three are in a beautiful harmony and in complete union in this pose. Yoga literally means union.
I'm thankful for every single incoming, energizing breath, every single outgoing, cleansing breath. They are both equally important. Incoming breath is birth, inspiration. Outgoing breath is death, expiration. They complete the respiration. These are countless cycles of birth and death. There is no beginning, no end.
If I linger more on inhale, that creates more tension in the body. If I linger more on exhale, that brings more lethargy to me. I let my inhale smoothly evolve into exhale and my exhale smoothly into inhale. If I become aware of a pause in between my exhale and inhale, I dwell upon it consciously or I just release it and move on to even flow of my breath.
In prayer, I talk. In meditation, I listen, I watch. I'm not a doer, not a thinker, just a seer, a witness in this moment. This is where I'm meant to be at this point of time, in this space that I'm occupying right now, in this breath, in this body.
All the trees teach me to be more compassionate, more loving, more giving. They also remind me to stay connected with my roots no matter how high I reach.
This revolving side angle pose is a beautiful pose combining twist, stretch and balance. All the twists teach me to look at same things from different angles, different perspectives, making me more accommodating.
The standing leg is the supporting leg - working leg here.
I thank all the people that have supported me just like this standing leg, throughout my journey - my parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, my teachers, my husband, friends, neighbors, kids, students, colleagues and sometimes complete strangers.
I cannot possibly repay it all to people who have supported me. The only way to thank them enough is to pay it forward by supporting others around me.
Please strengthen me universe so I can provide unconditional support to all those around me just like the elevated leg in this pose.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?

May the warrior in me conquer my inner enemies - anger, greed, ego, deceit, fear, jealousy, hatred, lethargy, lust....
Sometimes turning myself upside down is the only way to reach the skies...
