you know what we, as a fandom, never talk enough about? the physical repercussions of neil's injuries. when andrew touches neil i bet there are places where neil doesn't feel much of anything at all due to the scarring and im sure there are spots that feel like someone is dragging pins across his skin bc his nerve endings are fucked up. scars itch, im sure some days are worse, some days he wants to scratch and scratch and someone has to be there to pull his hand away from the harsh lines etched into his face. what if he only wears his uni backpack hanging from one shoulder bc the strap on the other side digs into the iron mark on his right side and he hates the feeling as well as the reminder. maybe you'll never catch that boy with a hair tie or rubber band around his wrists bc they fit uncomfortably into the scarred remains of handcuff wounds. i have lots of thought about this
