his  hair  is  still  wind  tossed  from  quidditch  practice,  his  tie  untied  around  his  neck  as  he  had  rushed  from  the  locker  room.  practice  had  run  late  &  he  had  intended  to  spend  his  evening  working  on  a  piece  for  choir.  with  a  lengthy  essay  due  for  transfiguration  tomorrow,  he  was  worried  that  the  homework  combined  with  his  skin  care  routine,  he  wouldn’t  have  much  time  before  the  other  seventh  year  boys  trickled  upstairs.  so  he’s  distracted  as  he  walks  in,  colliding  with  someone  immediately.  a  hand  reaches  out  automatically  to  steady  her,  eyebrows  raised  when  he  realizes  who  it  is.  she’s  in  choir  too.  “  i  wasn’t  watching  where  i  was  going.  i  won’t  be  so  careless  in  the  future,  “  he’s  not  ashamed  that  he  studies  her  face,  “  rachel.  “

Jesse comes from a long line of Slytherins. His family boasts their blood status, but it has never mattered to him. The only thing that he cared about was rising himself above the life that his parents and theirs had decided to lead for themselves. 

He has never been scared to make friends with other houses. He cares solely about talent and not the ridiculous level of segregation that Hogwarts does. 

His father is a high ranking ministry official and his mother is the definition of the socialite that was expected.

It was somewhat of a scandal in his family when Jesse, the middle child of three siblings, was the only one to continue the Slytherin legacy. It put him at a higher pedestal than he already was before, which elevated the tension between him and his siblings.

Upon entering Hogwarts, he immediately joins the frog choir and becomes one of their featured performers. He has always admired the stage and longs for the day when it will be his talent that people look at and not his last name. 

At the urge of his father he also tries out for the Quiditch team and is the Keeper (easily the safest position). He couldn’t have his future be damaged by a rogue Bludger. He’s very quick on a broom. His 7th year he is the captain of the team. 

His favorite subjects are Defense Against The Dark Arts and Charms, while he struggles in Arithmancy (before dropping it) and History of Magic. He prefers practical lessons to the sit down lectures. 

With a wizarding war brewing, Jesse has to figure out if he is going to stand at his family’s side or stand with his newfound friends. (This is timeline dependent).

it has been a few years since eli had seen his little brother when it wasn’t a holiday. both of them were still in ohio, he was attending college at ohio state and jesse was a senior at carmel high.  and now, they were both in new york city. they were both successful, eli more so but he wasn’t about to rub it in now the resentment was buried for good. it was clear that the two brothers had a lot to catch up on. so they made plans for lunch. ‘ long time, no see. ’ eli stands at the end of the table, having just arrived to the chosen restaurant.  ‘ how are you doing ? ’

jesse  had  come  to  lunch  straight  from  his  senior  seminar.  it  was  less  instruction  based  &  more  feedback.  helping  with  auditions,  headshots,  connections.  he  knew  he  was  on  the  short  list  for  the  russell  simmons  musical,  but  he  was  still  working  on  his  call  back  piece.  it  wasn’t  the  time  to  talk  about  that  though.  there  had  already  been  enough  bad  blood  between  eli  &  jesse.  they  didn’t  need  anymore  animosity.  besides,  his  older  brother  was  doing  well  for  himself  in  new  york.  he’s  sending  an  email  to  his  agent  as  his  brother  enters.  automatically,  the  younger  man  stands  &  holds  out  his  hand.  “  yeah,  long  time.  “  being  around  his  family,  especially  his  siblings,  had  always  been  jarring  for  him.  his  parents  had  never  shied  away  from  telling  him  that  his  talent  was  superior.  it  made  it  difficult  for  them  now  though.  “  really  good,  yeah.  just  finishing  up  my  last  semester  at  nyada.  you  ??  “  he  sat  back  down,  taking  a  sip  of  his  water.

okay im in crunch mode for my finals due tomorrow. im gonna try my very best to not be around here this weekend!! i want to get my statistics stuff done today before I go out so tomorrow I’m working only on my public health stuff. After I submit these I have one more week’s worth of work and then a week break!
