an alien, who belongs no where: i’ve always had fantasies that i was an alien because i don’t fit in anywhere and i want to go home to my home planet. no where feels like home and i'm left wondering why. what if i’m not even an alien and i’m a person/human a who’s failing at being a human? what even am i? it’s so much easier to believe that i’m an alien from another planet because it’s hard to function normally. or whatever ‘normal’ even is.

this might be dumb but i always think of that video where colt is hunting with his dad. (link)

the way his father tells him he loves him for taking an innocent life. “hey, i love you son. greatest day”. he seems so proud of him in that video. it makes me wonder if, deep within colt's subconscious, his actions during the massacre were partly driven by a desire for his father's approval.

the reason why uncanny valley is so off-putting to us is because there was something long ago that was like us, or pretend to be like us, but not quite. obviously it's long gone (or is it?) and our instinct is to fear the somewhat human but not human. i wonder what it was

i oftentimes find myself thinking about angel from euphoria, and how she was most likely trafficked. we never get a clear answer about her fate, but even though the uncertainty is upsetting at times, i think it's one of the few things that made this season of euphoria somewhat enjoyable for me. there are times, more often than not, where we don't get closure on what happens to the people we care about. whether they just leave our story completely and we never hear from them again, or things end badly and we never get to tell them something we wanted to, or whatever it may be.

i feel like this is worded poorly but i hope my message got across somewhat.
