April Fool’s Day is in a few days, and I just wanted to make this clear. This blog is safe, and I can promise you no screamers, nothing emotionally abusive, no fake posts, and nothing to intentionally trigger dissociation. You are safe here.
IMPORTANT: Please read 🫶
I just wanna extend a huge thank you real quick to everyone who is being patient during my soft hiatus. You've all been pretty understanding and I appreciate that — The truth of it is that for the moment, I've been getting super burnt out at work and can only spare a little bit of energy on certain things to relax, and drafts on Tumblr have been a little overstimulating. I don't know what it is, but something about the process of formatting has me getting more and more exhausted.
I do plan on returning to my RP blogs when I can, and I promise that. I love my community here, and I adore my blogs and how they function. I just need some time to adjust and manage my fatigue (I'm likely going to be prescribed a vitamin because I'm low on B12, which can explain everything I've been feeling lately)
And again, in the meantime, I'm definitely open to the option of moving or starting threads on discord! Just shoot me a message either here or there and I'd be happy to set us up. I'm still a bit slow there, but it's definitely an option.
As for my @flittermousing followers:
I appreciate you all so deeply. I know only a handful of my posts are truly my own original content, but whenever I do post it, you all seem to give a ton of respect toward it and I love that. I'm having a hard time filling up the queue these days, so posts can be sparse, but thank you all for sticking around.
I'm really sorry if I keep having to make new posts for threads and re-tag you guys. My formatting just keeps fucking up so bad and I honest to god can't figure out how to fix most of it.

She was being followed. She was sure of it. Just as Vixey had been following after a particularly plump field mouse, she sensed over her shoulder the looming threat of another, and she was more than just unsettled.
She was new enough to this forest, and frightened enough by its freshness.
Finally, when she could take it no longer, she turned to speak,
“Why are you following me?”
Only then it was that she realized she was speaking to a human — It was common expectation for the species not to understand. Maybe even shoot her.

She’d never seen one like him before. He certainly couldn’t have been a fox, could he? Not fox, nor dog... That pointed nose and flicking tail had her stumped. The nearly glowing vibrant yellow pelt stuck out like a sore thumb in this marsh area.
“You’re about to step in a trap.” She called out toward the creature, finally making her presence known. Whether he listened or not wasn’t up to her, but she might as well make the most of her good nature and at least provide forewarning.

“Meadow, guess what? I found somethin’ for ya!”
Tod drops a child’s necklace with a purple gem in front of his daughter. “I found it by the creek! Do you want it?”
@thefcxandthehcund
At first she's skeptical, unsure if her father has brought her some sort of new food she'd be forced into trying. It's quickly resolved, however, when she notes that it's a human trinket. Ohh, Vixey wouldn't be happy about this, but Meadow is all about it.
"Y'mean I can really have it? Golly, Daddy- Thanks!"
She doesn't really know what it's for, but she's thrilled.

(thefcxandthehcund):
Tod reached the den and put Meadow down in front of Vixey. “Jus’- keep ‘er inside,” he said breathlessly, whipping his head back around to make sure the wolf was still on the ground.
Assuming that it probably wouldn’t stay there for long, Tod turned around to face it and growled. “Come an’ get me!” he shouted, racing towards the distant woods and yapping periodically to get the wolf to follow him.
There was a cliffside not far off, and if Tod was quick enough, he could lure it over the edge.
He just hoped he could do it without getting bit.

Meadow shook with horror as her mother lunged forward to grip the kit's scruff, dragging her back further into the den and protectively curling around her child. The vixen enveloped her daughter in her warmth, hot concern radiating off her as blazing as flame.
Be careful, Tod. Her mind spoke what her mouth could not.
Agitated, yet growing tired, the wolf seemed unsure about its place in continuing to attack. At the provoking, though, it soon started up again, stumbling after, lips peeled back until gum shone above yellowed, wet teeth and jaw hung open with choked sound. Wild yellowed eyes didn't quite meet its target, but pursued anyway, paw pads beginning to scrape and tear under the harsh intensity of the the rocks underfoot.

If I am to say anything of use in these last hours I have before the clock strikes twelve, I hope that it is something worthwhile and something others can use for their benefit.
This year has been one of great lessons for me. As difficult as it has been, I have made progressions I would have never thought possible only a year prior. What I have accomplished may seem simple to others, but to me, it has been a monumental journey, and I am so glad to have finally started it. I am meeting people. I am learning new skills. I am becoming a little less afraid. Earning money, yes (a VERY nice positive, might I add!) but also learning to cope with my past traumas and coming to terms with it. Learning to be honest with myself and others, even if it may mean hurt feelings. I am a person and I deserve to act and be treated as one.
I thank everyone for the support they have given me, and the patience that follows with it. I cannot always be 100% present in the communities I participate in, nor the ones I have built myself, but I try very hard to extend my hand to the people I care about.
I would like to extend a special thank you to @pointdointy, who has seen me through the past few years with unending kindness and willing to understand. I believe that the key to our great friendship is merely our communication. I value that we are always able to openly discuss when things go wrong, and we always find a way to make it right again. To everyone reading, I wish these same kind of relationships. May you all find something good to come from this new year.

Tod comes trotting up to Vixey outside the den with a trout in his mouth. “Look who finally caught a fish, Vixey!”
He puts it down before her paws. “I went out early this morning. I hope ya like it!”
@thefcxandthehcund
(I wanted him to something sweet for her haha ❤️)
Her face lights up quickly. It's no gigantic feast, but all the same she seems rightly impressed. He's finally triumphed against those old squirmy swimmers.
"Oh, a trout! This must have taken you a while... Let's share it. I can't just eat all of this on my own when you worked so hard."
