I’m Mahmoud from Gaza, and this is my story of hunger and helplessness 💔🇵🇸

Hello,

My name is Mahmoud, I’m 23 years old, and I live in Gaza. My father passed away when I was just 6 years old 🕊️, and since then, my mother has been our only support ❤️‍🩹.

Today, my mother suffers from a severe slipped disc in her back 🦴, along with chronic migraine 🤕 and stomach pain 🤢. She needs constant medication but we can’t afford it 💊💔.

I was a student at Al-Azhar University 🎓, studying software and databases, and I used to work online as a UX/UI designer 💻 to support my family and pay for my education.

But after my laptop was destroyed in an airstrike 💥, I lost both my job and my studies 📉.

Now, we live with no income, no food 🍽️, no electricity ⚡, and no clean water 🚱.

We survive only on small donations I collect through GoFundMe 🙏 and when no one donates, we go to sleep hungry 😔🛌.

My sister lives in a separate tent ⛺ due to the lack of space. She has 4 children 👶👦👧👧, including a newborn baby who cries all night from hunger 😢🍼 because we can’t afford baby milk.

My brother has two little daughters 👧👧 who tremble in fear every time a missile hits nearby 💣💔.

The children are always hungry 🍞.

Every day they say: “Mahmoud, bring us food.” 🥺

And I stand there… with nothing in my hands and pain in my heart 💔.

They don’t understand war or poverty they just want to eat and feel safe 🧸.

💬 Sometimes I wish I could disappear… just so I don’t have to watch them suffer while I can’t do anything. 😞

But still… I have hope 🌟.

I believe there are kind hearts out there 🕊️ who can help.

🙏 I’m not asking for much just help me feed these children, buy medicine for my mother, and survive this nightmare.

My name is Mahmoud Naeem Abu Hatab, from Gaza.

I am a university student majoring in Software and Databases at Al-Azhar University. Since the beginning of my academic journey, I have been passionate about User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, as well as website development. These fields inspire me, and I dream of advancing my skills and building a professional career in them.

Unfortunately, during the recent war, I lost my laptop, which was essential for both my studies and work. I was forced to flee my home and relocate to southern Gaza due to the difficult circumstances. Despite my efforts to replace my laptop, the financial situation has made it impossible to afford a new one.

Without a laptop, continuing my studies or seeking job opportunities in programming and design has become extremely challenging. This directly affects my academic progress and future career.

Today, I am reaching out to ask for your support to help me purchase a new laptop. Having a laptop would allow me to resume my studies and work on programming and design projects that are crucial for improving my skills. It is a vital step towards completing my education and pursuing my dream of becoming a professional in programming and UX/UI design.
