Ochako &/X Bakugou won this month's poll! I really missed drawing them 💕
I mistakenly streamed FDF last Saturday instead of yesterday, woops. You can watch the stream here!
The most unrealistic thing in Stranger Things is the concept of someone fumbling Will Byers.
"If Will was a girl, I'd want to be his boyfriend. Is that weird?"
"Its Will, dude. Everyone feels that way about him."
04.07.26 happy birthday mike!! forever endeared by how he tucks his head into will's shoulder when they hug :']]

#NICKANDJESS: fall in love again and again
way too dramatic the intro?? skdjdj
I think everyone who saw honey don't (saying this with no hatred in my heart) straight up missed the hitting you over the head obvious theme of this is a critique of modern feminism. Corrines boyfriend hitting her and MG immediately going to the no nuance you are a nothing but a victim now stance. Honey seeing it as an action that exists in the context of the whole (doing nothing). Their viewpoints being reflected in their conversation about their father's. MG being unable to let go and let her identity and experience be a colorful thread in the tapestry of her life. (Suplimented by her year book revealing she was involved with the church -> her thinking in absolutes) Her monologue about her house literally being ABOUT her.... The very obvious symbolism when honey knocks the bird out of the cage and it simply flies about and flies into the window and falls on the ground. Next to honey. On the ground. Its about the stuckness. The damned if you do damned if you don't. About fixating on victimhood. About failing to take agency about it. (MG killed her dad. Thinking she ended a cycle. But she simply became the cycle, Honey not killing her dad but telling him "your already dead" and then her dad haunting Corrine.) MGs obsession being cop behavior like it's not a coincidence she's a cop. Honey doing.... effectively nothing and then getting stabbed. The church and the partiarcal system and the absolutism being the obvious scapegoat and it was very much an issue but not in that way and more so just filling a power vacuum and not even being the thing that did it. And then everyone is just like. It's just about performative lesbian sex and it's like. You literally fell for it. That's the joke. And you fell for it. But hey. This isn't the site known for media literacy so I just have to yell into the void. And like I'm not calling it a perfect film or the end all be all of feminism obvs but like. Come on guys.
Aiki Hirose from Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! /Go For It, Nakamura!
“I’m shy, gay and in love with Hirose Aki”
awwww I LOVE when anime doesn’t shy away from queerness and just fully embraces it. Been wanting to dip my feet into some more BL for a while and this season’s Go For It Nakamura seems like it’ll be the perfect opportunity. I love this art style so much. I also like that this one isn’t really a slow burn, Nakamura is GAY GAY from the jump and knows right away that he wants Hirose, it’s just a matter of him working up the courage to talk to and confess to him. That’s so cute.
Not the most original premise since we see hetroms do this sort of gag all the time, but the artstyle, comedy and Nakamura as a character make this very fun. It’s also cool that they seem to be tackling heteronormativity a little in the first couple episodes, for example with the BL manga thing. Nothing to be ashamed about! Be yourself. Great start

I am enjoying Go For It Nakamura so far! Such a darling show, and the art style is adorable and reminds me of 80s anime. Nakamura i think is relatable to just about everyone, gay or not. We all have moments where we want to be all cool but end up feeling embarrassed or overthinking things or thinking other people don't like us when that's not true.
