Have not watched the movie nor read the book but from Tumblr posts alone what I'm getting is that Rocky and Grace to Project Hail Mary are what Ryley and Sea Emperor are to Subnautica

This game is about a single person who is most likely seen as expendable and an acceptable loss, who chooses himself, who saves himself through the sheer will to live, the desire to keep going, and who saves himself by being kind and learning to live in harmony with a hostile, yes, but still beautiful place.
