 A Heart and a Half - Chapter 14: A Wish Your Heart Makes is finally here! :D

This was originally going to be an extremely long chapter, with a work-in-progress over 16,000 words long, but I decided to split it in half, so it’s now 11,000 words instead. This’ll give me more time to work on the other 5,000 words, take my time without rushing, and really flesh it out into a full-length Chapter 15! Thank you for all your support, even though I’m super slow at updating! X3

Since I’m a perfectionist, I’ve also updated my other fanfics as well, nothing major, just fixing a few typos and correcting an awkward sentence or two. If you’d like, you can re-download the PDFs of Confection Affection, D-Link in the Dark, and Friendship to Flowers for the full updated versions! It’s probably a good idea to re-download my fanfics about every year or so, ‘cause I swear I find new typos every time I re-read them! :P

I revalued Vanitas as character after reading a @vengeverse ’s fanfiction, “A heart and a half”. So, I made a fanart. (I ship Terra and Aqua, but these two are so convincing in this fic! ;w;)

Vanitas held up his hand, slick with his own blood. An odd grin broke out over his face, his eyes glazed and unfocused as he traced his bloody fingers across her cheek. Aqua flinched at the contact but Vanitas didn’t seem to notice.

“Hey, Aqua…” he chuckled deliriously. “Monsters don’t bleed red, right…?”

“Vanitas, I am so, so sorry.” Tears welled in her eyes. It wasn’t enough to fix his pain, but it was all she could do.

“I forgive you.”

Aqua looked up, startled. Vanitas was staring directly into her eyes. -

- Aqua cupped the side of his face with her free hand and stroked his cheek. His pale skin was as soft as it looked. Vanitas shuddered under her touch, then went completely still. He slowly blinked his large golden eyes, the thick eyelashes tickling her thumb, then leaned into her hand and sighed, entwining his fingers with hers. Whatever mental barrier he had placed around himself, she had finally broken through.-

- she continued lathering the shampoo through the absolute rat’s nest that was his hair. Vanitas squirmed around, especially whenever her fingers caught on a tangle.

“Hold still, will you?” she scolded exasperatedly. -

- Aqua didn’t quite know what she was doing. She pressed up against his back, tentatively sliding her arms around his waist and resting her chin against the side of his head. Vanitas went stock still, but his breathing was even. -

it seems today is my fanfictions' art day. So here some old vanqua sketches inspired by the 10th chapter of "A heart and a half" by @vengeverse

<<“Why aren’t they attacking?” Aqua asked, her face scrunched up in disgust at the Heartless drool slowly sliding down the bubble’s exterior.

“They must be brighter than I thought,” Vanitas grumbled. “Heartless don’t need to eat or sleep; they’re gonna wait us out.”

“And destroy the garden in the process,” she pointed out as more plants were trampled underfoot by the creatures’ lumbering feet.

“It’s either us, or the vegetables,” he shrugged.

“…There must be some non-destructive spell I can use,” Aqua muttered in frustration.>>

Aqua was still cradling the blue charm in her hands. “What is that?” Vanitas asked, indicating towards it. “Hmm? Oh, it’s my Wayfinder. It’s supposed to lead me back to my friends. Each of us have one.” She held it out in her palms. The charm was a five-pointed star of blue-tinted glass, a similar hue to her hair and eyes. It was trimmed in silver with a shining pendant in the center, the same as the symbol on her chest. “It’s beautiful,” he breathed. “You like it? Even though it’s connected to Terra and Ven?” she asked, eyebrows raised. His face flushed slightly. “Well, I’m sure theirs aren’t nearly as good as yours.”

A fanart inspired by the fanfiction A Heart and a Half (www.fanfiction.net/s/13167097/…) based on what I've imagined them wearing based on descriptions from later in the story. I didn't want to try and get super elaborate on the background, but there are so many things I was excited about when i fully completed this artwork- even just in sketch form. Vanitas is what has me 100% stoked on this, since I am not good at drawing guys, let alone Nomura boys. X,D Please let me know how you like it! Let Your Heart be Your Guiding Key!

How cool would aqua look dressed as kitana and vanitas dressed as Lui Kang both from MORTAL KOMBAT

That sounds pretty awesome! XD Their color schemes definitely match Vanitas and Aqua-- Liu Kang with red and black, and Kitana with blue. Plus Kitana's outfit really resembles Aqua's! It would be pretty cool to see Aqua fight with fans, she's already got that graceful dancer vibe. :3 And any chance for Vanitas to show off his muscles sounds great to me, lol! X3

How cool would vanitas look as kazuto kiriguya "Kirito" when he was in Aincrad and how cool would aqua look as Asuna when she was in Aincrad since Kirito and Asuna are basically a canon couple in the anime sword art online

Ooo yeah! :D I could totally see Vanitas and Aqua wearing outfits like this, plus that's a nice black and white couples contrast! Maybe if Aqua's version had blue or pink highlights instead of red, it'd be just perfect. :3c

Heyyyy, a quick question. Which Titans from AoT do you think the BBS Family would inherit? My personal suggestions are the Armored Titan for Terra, the Jaw Titan for Ventus, the Warhammer Titan for Aqua (because it would be EXTRA xD) and for Vanitas... I'd say the Jaw Titan as Well, but that would clash with Ventus, soooo... Maybe he would inherit the Attack Titan? What do you think about it?

Honestly it's been so long since I've watched Attack on Titan, I'm not up to date on all the new titans or what's going on with the story! But after looking them up, I think all those titans' designs fit the BBS Family very well! :3
