In the recent past, a series of mysterious accidents led the entire mine to be closed, putting its workers out of a job. However, the Liyue Qixing is gradually reopening the area, thus allowing miners to resume working.
At least, it was what they supposed would happen.
As the miners came back with tales, each one more fanciful than the last, the work came facefront with a wall they didn´t know how to surpass.
First, there were tiny lights, at first glance, it could be mistook as fireflies, looking closely, little yellow sparks, bodless. The deeper they went, the more they saw. And then, new stone walls, their veils shimmering faintly in the darker areas, the paths to the nameless ruins, suddenly blocked by it.
The worst of it all, was the disembodied voice they claimed were sending them back, out. Some claimed it may be afraid of being found, others, said it was a warning to not mess with the Chasm´s deeps.
As the traveler, this unfolding of events caught your eye, any sign could open a plethora of new ways to follow. You thought, taking your way into the mines, some workers waved to you, others seemed puzzled by something, maybe they were victims of this "ghost" of sorts, as some called.
Entering the main mining area, nothing out of the ordinary, some workers were talking, even a student was taking samples judging by their clothing.
Ad-Hoc and The Serpent´s cave were quieter, the glowy specs started apearing, but it was just that, maybe a spetacle for less tired minds, you´ve seen a lot already, as it was not harmful, why should you be worried?
It was at the end of The Serpent´s Cave that it truly felt off, a shiver down the spine, the faint elemental energy that wasn´t there before, as if something was awake and waiting...
Nothing new should´ve appeared here, it wasn´t the Celestial Nail, this was still far, the Narrows and the Ruins were quite far, so why they were feeling this pressure?
"Paimon think we head back! She doesn´t wanna go deeper, no!" Your flying companion exclaimed, shaking her head in a "no" motion, but you moved foward, you exchanged some words, heading to the Underground Watery.
Then everything felt strange.
A looming presence at the back of their sight, not hostile per se, but for sure not friendly.
It reached out.
Then, retreated.
You felt checked, as if the thing was evaluating if you´re worth it.
Steping in the Watery, the presence, even while trying to hide, was the strongest there, but you could not see it. Searching up and down, even with Paimon´s help, there was simply nothing, not a glimpse, a smell, a movement out of the corner of your eye, nothing seemed out of place.
But then
A tremor, so subtle it could be shrug off as your mind playing games.
But you´ve played enough games to know when something is wrong.
You signed to Paimon were you felt it, "Here" you pointed to a place in the floor, nothing was special there, if not for the peebles ceasing it´s shudder.
A step, then other, then a harder one. You walked almost in circles.
"Uh... what are you doing? Is... is this a dance? Why are you dancing?" Paimon inquired.
It´s hollow underneath.
You thought, as the floor crumbled below you...

You woke up in the soft grass.
The water from above, dripping from the cracks, the almost grass-like moss probably survived and trived because of this water supply. The moss led forwad, into a upward path, you looked up.
It really was quite the fall, huh?
"Waaah! Are you okay? Paimon was really, really worried!" you calm her down, trying to brush it off, your muscles were rigid and quite pained, indeed, but what could you do? As, you see...
"...How are we going up now?" your flying friend gave voice to the thought that was passing through your head.
You just walked the moss path, with nothing else left to do. You could feel the air flowing, in almost complete darkness, you followed the green blanket that covered the cold stone floor, and then...
Light?
How?
You started to sprint towards the light, stopping to a halt just at the threshold, you could feel, as if a line divided the pure darkness left behind you for a welcoming, almost cozy, place. You could not see much, the light blinding after the time spent walking in these unknow tunnels and breaches.
You take a step.
You swear you see plants in there, not moss or mushrooms, but straight up flowers, not the same kind that flowrished in the sun warm rays, but flowers nonetheless.
Your eyes adapt enough for you to see a statue, it´s strange, it´s note posed with grandeur nor majesty as the Archon´s ones, it´s closer to a depressing work of art, with the torn appearance worsened by the time this might have been forgotten here, gloom could be felt from it. The statue lied in it´s knees, one upward, in a knight-like pose, it´s head was down, hiding the face, the style seemed old, simple, it´s clothes carved in easy shapes.
You step closer when you feel it again, whatever was this statue, it was awake, and it knew you were there.

Not good, i know, it´s hard for me to describe anything in my mother tongue, sometimes english feels lacking ngl. I did not specify wich of the twins is "you" cause i know everyone has their preference (mine is Aether tho-), i also didn´t want to write the twin speaking so i cut it when i could cause i don´t want to make yall feel the "i would not say/choose that", so... fill the gaps! How would your traveler react or say? (if you want to comment id be happy to hear!).
For any mistakes, feel free to tell me, i really hope to at least improve a bit, im quite happy already cause i just needed help with uncommon words that i really don´t use nor see people using, so yeah, this probably wold gave your english teacher a stroke , sorry :´)

First, I did a quick chart to not loose the Idea (the fic clothes are described quite simply as a black shirt, pants and boots) as I do like a lot natsu's clothes, I wanted to make something similar that i think he wold tend to but without loosing the "prince look" and the maturity. The chart is kinda @ss, the Second one is closer to my style, also, I like the "less colors" not only cause its easier to draw and/or animate, But everything seems to pop out more for me, less poluted ig...
Yeah, I imagine How hard it was to write the war arc, seems tyring too to try and keep a character like natsu not ooc, he is a good person and would never be a text book villain, its hard to write in this little gray area. (Also, I do like the family shenanigans ngl)
