Okay so, I’ve been playing overwatch since season 10, started play competitive in season 11 and been in silver for 4 season. I finally took the time to learn my fav heroes even better. Been watching alot of pro play. This season I started at 1839 sr. And after... actually like a day playing alot of overwatch I managed to do it. I climbed out of the place where I was so long. I got to gold!

And not only this account, I got my alt (that was low silver at the start of the season) to gold too, mainly solo q.

I have a 78% winrate on D.Va. On that account I played 44, won 31, lost only 13. And I’ve made a account (I may or may not was hella drunk when I made it) and somehow, still not sure how, ended even higher then my main account.

What happened? Well, I think I know what happened. I stopped playing Mercy and stopped being scared to play comp. I still play her tbh but not as much. I play the hero that I’m actually good at, D.Va. I can flex to other heroes aswell but I will try to play D.Va. I still do not talk in voice though. I am always in voice chat but I do not talk due anxieties (which might get in the way to climbing even more.. idk). But just to wrap up what I wanted to say.. I’M NOT A SILVER PLEB ANYMORE >:3

(I am just really happy that I finally did it. It took me a long time but I got to Gold. Next goal: plat.)

Okay so,

It’s no secret to anyone that I play more quick play then comp (355 hours on quickplay and 13 hours on comp) and I want to talk about quick play for a moment. On my main account I am silver ranked, never been out of it. Yet my quick play games are getting more difficult. Ofcourse, it depends per game but the games feel alot more like what I have on my alt account (high gold) instead of the games I used to have on my main account (which sometimes did feel too easy). I do enjoy these games alot more but when I play competitive I just notice the lack of... everything (silver sucks, dont @ me) and I’m not able to climb. But I started to keep a bit track of the people I play with and against in quick play and these people are usually gold or plat and well, blizzards, I believe that the gamemode says ‘play against people of your skill level’ while I’m a silver pleb fighting against a couple of plats. I dont understand it, I like these games but I dont understand why I am hard stuck in silver yet playing against plats in quick play.
