Unrequited Love {Open}
Itâs funny that the strangers first words to him are that he looks like shit. Of course he does. He feels like heâs been crying for ages and no on ever looks pretty while crying, at least not anyone Carson has ever met in his lifetime. A sound between a laugh and a painful sob escapes his lips before her hands are on his arms, but itâs really not okay. How could it ever be?
He looks up at her though, a stray tear falling down his cheek as he tries to compose himself. He bet he looks disgusting and pathetic and sad to her and thatâs everything he doesnât want to be.
She tried to smile at him, but it looked more sympathetic than encouraging. "Was it the kids at school?" She asked, angrily. "I hate those bitches." She mumbled. She doubted that was it. He didn't look like the type of kid that got made fun of at school. She tried to reassure him it was okay again, although she couldn't tell if he was crying or laughing at that point.Â
She reached over, wiping the tear from his face before dropping her hands back to her sides. The thought of how awkward it must be for a girl he didn't know to be trying to comfort him crossed her mind again. "I'm Kyler." She said quietly, looking down at her lap. "What's your name?"Â
