this stupid fucking draft kept deleting when i saved it what the fuck tumblr i hate you

So Virgil, Janus, Logan, Remus, and Roman all went to the same middle school

They were on the same volleyball team, so they vaguely knew each other

but they werent close, and def not friends

but when Halloween came around, the school threw a costume party in the gym after school

there was music, dancing, food, and, bc it was middle school amd middle schoolers are horrible, horrible goblins

CHAOS (tm)

Remus was naturally the force of this chaos

it went as one of those horror film killers, but the school aouldnt let it in if it was covered in fake blood

so what does this mad bastard do?

it has janus sneak in a GALLON of fake blood

probably fake,,,

Logan: It was fake.

so janus snuck in the blood, then remus arrived and started running towards janus to get it, bumps into xem, and causes xem to bump into virgil

xe didnt know it was virgil bc he was wearing a sheet w eye holes

the fake blood lands on the ground and splatters, getting all over the bottom of virgils white sheet

janus apologizes and they got to the bathroom to try and fix it

virgil takes off the sheet to wash it in the sink and janus is like >:O! its the asshole from my volleyball team!

they cant wash the blood out

luckily, the jack skellington onesie janus wore was the size for an adult man, and could fit virgil

so they decide to switch costumes

janus uses xyr bobby pins (totally not lockpicks) to pin the bloody ends of the sheet up on the inside, and it kinda trailed like a dress train

xe got an idea and ripped a head hole where the eyeholes were, and used some fake blood on xyr hand to stain xyr nose red

the two, now dressed as jack and zero, returned to the party to find Remus rolling in the puddle of fake blood as Logan tries to stop it and Roman pretends not to know it

oh yeah logan went as dr Frankenstein and roman as Prince Charming

Remus stole someone's xmen wolverine accessories and gave them to logan to be dr wolverine

anyway thats how Virgil made his first few friends!

how did you choose everyoens positions?/how did they choose theirs?

Amazing question! I've wanted to answer this.

LOGAN

•I chose Logan to be a setter because he's smart and calculated but adapts to people.

•Logan decided to be a setter because he likes people needing him and he wants to be useful and in control.

JANUS

•I made Janus a libero bc I headcanon him as really short and his purpose is to defend. Self preservation and all that. He keeps Thomas (the team) going. Making sure he gets self care, takes job opportunities, etc. Also snakes are fast and strikey.

•Janus became a libero because xe wanted to support. Xe was always short and fast and kinda invisible to people, so why not use it? Xe regularly hides is the shadows of other teammates height.

VIRGIL

•I made Virgil a Middle Block bc his purpose is also to defend. He is more visible than Janus though and whereas Janus defemds from inside turmoil, Virgil defends the outside.

•Virgil decided to be a middle block bc he is very tall and strong, and wanted to use that to its full advantage. He definitely prefers defense as well, amd seeing the other team get pissed off bc they cant get past him. he's a bastard, i love him.

ROMAN

•Does this really need explaining? He loves being the center of attention. He's more offensive too. But he is more defensive than Remus. Roman is usually offensive but is also good at receiving.

REMUS

•It just really wants to hit something/hit someone with the ball, and I felt that in my soul.

PATTON

•Patton is the oldest, hence captain. I made him an outside hitter bc I just think he needs to let off a little steam. Plus it clashes with his personality so much i think its funny.

•Patton decided to be an outside hitter bc he needed to let off steam and also just couldn't do anything else. he flinches away from the ball unless its being tossed to him or he has it in his hands to serve. hes working on it tho.

ANTONN

•I made Antonn a middle block bc she's judgey. I thought it would be a useful skill for a middle block.

•She chose to be a middle block bc its her favorite position. She loves everything about it, she's good at it, and she knows it.

REMY

•I made Remy a pinch server bc I knew that they arent the kind to be constantly doing exercise.

•Remy chose to be a pinch server bc they wouldn't have to constantly be on the court, and they like doing cheers from the sidelines.

EMILE

•I made Emile a setter bc he's smart. She's more emotionally smart than Logan and can read people better. But they can take a little extra time to make a decision, so a backup setter.

•Emile decided to be a setter bc she really wanted to help people (make spikes) and be a gateway for people like Patton to let off some steam. They like being on the sidelines bc he can join in on Remy's cheers.

do the boys have favorite moves?

oh yeah, definitely. soemthing abt some moves are just... *chefs kiss*

•Logan's favorite move is something called a setter dump. It basically when the setter is about to give the ball to someone, but instead pushes it over the net. if done right, they are incredibly hard to pick back up.

•Virgil really likes jousts. that is when the ball is in contact with two players at the same time on both sides of the net. winning jousts are virgils favorite thing to do.

•"Jumping just before the attack line to deliver a toss in mid air makes a valid set from the libero." This is Janus' favorite thing to do.

•Remy loves float serves. they can do then right about 85% of the time, with a jump float serve working about 75%

•Antonn also loves setter dumps. the look on the opposing teams faces is just too good. But she also likes when she surprises someone with a good block

•Patton likes a good spike, whether he's making it or receiving it doesn't matter.

•Roman likes it when his spike hits the blocks hands, but goes through it. it makes him feel powerful.

•Remus likes getting hit in the face with the ball. yes really. it says its cuz it gets it excited.

•Emile loves a successful block. even if its the opposing side, they'll compliment it.

How did everyone get into volleyball?

•Logan wanted to spend more time with his mom. She had been busy and taking care of Janus’ parent so Logan only spent time with the King twins and Janus. So she took all four of them to a volleyball game, since it had a bunch of open seats and was close by. It was during elementary. Logan played middle school volleyball. Janus, Roman, and Remus joined later, but also played in middle school.

•Remy and Antonn saw a game on tv when they had their first cups of coffee. It had kept them awake and Teal had fallen asleep grading with the tv on, and the channel played a game that had happened some time last year. Antonn wanted to play it and Remy tagged along, So they played in middle school at a different one from Logan, Roman, Remus, and Janus. 

•Patton went to a beach volleyball game because Dolly loves it. He didn’t play in middle school because he didn’t realize it was a thing. When he saw boy’s volleyball on the list of sports in high school, he immediately signed up. He didn’t expect a gym though. He thought it was beach volleyball. 

•Virgil got into it as soon as Joan and Talyn adopted him. They used it as a bonding thing. Virgil fell in love with it and played in middle school.

Antonn is judgey. She observes people and judges them based off of those observations. She's really good at making calls in game or coming up with new moves, signals, or strategies. When she's on the court as the middle block, she almost always knows where the spike will go and how to block it. She's also good at deconstructiin the other team and finding out their signals. She watches recorded games for fun and study, just to know their patterns. Logan is in awe of her powers and says she could be a setter if she wanted.

We know Remy is addicted to coffee, but does anyone else have caffeine taste?

• Janus and Remus are addicted to energy drinks. Janus likes redbull and Remus likes monster.

• Virgil is addicted to tea, his favorite being peppermint.

• Logan drinks (peppermint) tea, energy drinks (redbull), and coffee (black). he needs caffeine to survive.

• Patton hates coffee and energy drinks, but really likes Dr. Pepper.

•Roman hates coffee because he's scared it will ruin his teeth, and hates energy drinks. He prefers tea to help his throat, with his favorite being earl gray because he thinks its the fanciest (and it also tastes like fruit loops with enough sugar).

•Remy is still addicted to coffee, but they need it to be sweet. Bitter is terrible. They once tried making sugar ice cubes in the summer. It failed.

•Antonn likes sweet tea the most, but you can catch her drinking coffee thats 90% sugar with no cream sometimes.

•Emile drinks coffee, black. No sugar, no cream, and only iced in the summer. Don't tell Dot and Larry though. Remy is jealous of Emile's raw power.

Oh yeah! Its basically how I fit in the rest of Thomas' friends (That I knew the name and pronouns of). Here:

• Patton has many siblings. Order from oldest to youngest is Leo (17), Valerie (17), Patton (16), Quil (15), Adri (15), Terrence (14), Brittney (13) and Jamahl (13).

• Valerie was adopted first, at age 2. As far as she cares, Kat and Dotty have always been her moms. She actually belived until age 9 that they gave birth to her, even though they're white and she's not.

• Patton is adopted next at age 12. He immediately took a liking to them, and he and Valerie are very close. He does want to know his birth parents sometimes, but never asks.

• Quil and Adri are siblings adopted at age 11. They are very protective of each other and took a while to trust everyone. They did know their parents, but have repressed those memories.

• Terrence was adopted at age 10. He was really shy, but Patton helped him open up. He never knew his parents, and doesn't care to.

• Brittney was then adopted at age 9. She warmed up to them quickly and got along with everyone well. Everyone is very protective of her. She worries about why her parents left her sometimes, but she's happy here.

• Jamahl was adopted second to last also at age 9. He was a very happy kid and also got along with everyone well. He and Brittney have always been the closest though. Everyone is protective of him. He asked to meet his birth mom before but she said no, so never again.

• Leo was adopted recently at age 17. Kat and Dolly saved him, and for that, he is forever grateful. he does not want to ever see his birth parents again. He is also very protective of all his younger siblings. He loves all of them very much.

•Oh yeah, definitely.

•Since xyr parent works for Logan's mom and Remus and Roman's dad ALSO work for Logan's mom, the four have known each other for a long time.

•The first thing Remus said to Janus was "are you a lost kid?"

•Janus kicked xem in the shin.

•Remus: "It was awesome."

•Logan hasn't said anything about Jan's height, but when xe starts getting to loud or aggressive towards the other team, Logan will lift xem off the ground.

•Virgil also started doing this, except whenever.

•Virgil is the one that usually teases Jan about xyr height.

•One time, they were out with Remy, and Virgil was asking how the weather was down there, when he ran into a shop sign.

•Remy and Jan were too busy laughing to breathe.

•Janus and Virgil fight sometimes and they both deal low blows. Along the lines of "You're a nobody." "Well at least I can be a nobody. You try to not be noticed but everyone in a ten-mile radius will see your tall, pale ass Jack Skellington."

•(Roman totally didn't applaud Jan on the nickname-)

•Virgil did like that nickname though, so now the two are called Jack and Zero, especially after the Halloween party.

•Virgil, Remus, and Roman all use Janus as an armrest/leaning post when in a line.

•Jokes on all of them though, because in summer, Janus can rest in all of their shadows easily.

They are Adri's best friend! Leo was a lil suspicious of them first but Cam got on his good side. Them and Adri have sleepovers and Kat and Dolly really like them. Adri has a string in their room filled eith polaroids of the two of them, because A E S T H E T I C.

•Logan's parent is a single mom named Bee. She is the CEO of Crofter's jelly, so her and Logan never had to struggle. Neither of them know who the father is.

•Patton's moms, Kat and Dolly, adopted him when he was 12. He has MANY siblings. Kat is a vet and Dolly is one of the lunchladies at the school!

•Virgil's parent's are Talyn and Joan, through adoption when he was 9.

•Roman and Remus' parent is their single dad Romulus, who works at Bee's business. He designs logos and pitches names.

•Janus' parent is named Seph. Seph also works for Bee as a farmer. Xe owes Bee a lot for giving xem the job, or xe and Janus might have been homeless.

•Emile' parents are Larry and Dot! Larry works in theater and Dot is the school nurse. That's why Emile wants to go into the medical field.

•Antonn and Remy's parents are Pryce, Dayd, Teal, and Andy. The parent-teacher meetings are awkward, yes. Pryce works in theater, Dayd is a stay-at-home dad, Teal teaches at sanders high, and Andy works at starbucks where he feeds Remy's coffee addiction.
