Cornelius looks to Anslem with a worried expression. "Here, drink," he says tenderly, unbuttoning his shirt collar to better expose his neck.

“…..mnhg….” Anslem grumbled, covering his mouth with a hand. This was the worst. Literally the worst feeling, like his throat was on fire. Cornelius offered him blood, this was true, but he still looked to the man like he was guilty of some great crime.

“I….don’t know, I don’t think I should…”

Cornelius looked just as guilty as Anslem and beyond nervous. If he didn’t let Anslem drink, he would die, but if he did, the doctor would feel the intense pain again. Gulping, he straightened up and unraveled one of his sleeves. “C-c’mon…if not my neck, try an arm.” he started up again, while offering his arm, holding it out near the vampire’s face. “Please, Anslem…if you don’t, y-you’ll die.”

“…yeah, and you don’t want me to. You don’t want to do this, so don’t….” He stared right at Corneilus’ face, brows furrowed. Maybe the reluctance was the most agitating thing. “So just….forget about it. You don’t want to, so I won’t take…” The fact that he was still nervous, still afraid. It was…actually almost painful. “Stop forcing yourself.”

“B-but…I,” The doctor stammered meekly, hands cupping together in a gesture of plea. “Anslem,” Cornelius began again. He opened his mouth, but he could only choke out a pathetic whine. He could only look into the vampire’s eyes in the hopes that he’d see how sorry he was, how sad this decision made him, but then he dropped that idea and held himself tall. “Anslem!” he said more forcefully. “Just do it. I won’t flinch. I won’t be upset. I just want you not to die! Do you here?” Cornelius stepped closer to the other, removing his suit jacket completely, followed by his bow tie so he could easily slip his collar down further. “Stop being stubborn and take care of yourself before I bleed myself and feed you myself!”

“WHO is being stubborn?! You don’t want to so just….don’t!” Anslem actually took a step back, just a little nervous. He really needed it, but he’d seen Cornelius’ expression before. “Who are you trying to fool? Do you think by forcing yourself, it’ll make it better? I don’t want your blood if you don’t want to give it….and that’s FINAL!” Maybe he could convince himself of this, he could stand strong in the face of those precious puppy eyes.

Cornelius stared wide-eyed at Anslem for but a moment. His face contorted; it looked pained and defeated. What was he going to do? Again, his gaze rose to meet the vampire’s and the doctor leaped at him. “Then I want to give my blood! You are the one being stubborn! You!” he growled. He wondered if Anslem had forgotten that he was already turned, sharing the same super human strength and abilities as him.  

“I’m already changed, damn you! Now stop being insane and take what I’m offering!” Cornelius ordered, trying to subdue the other by holding him to the floor. He had no intention of harming him, only keeping him from escaping until he drank some blood.

“WHOA...!” WEll, Anslem was not going anywhere, staring equally wide-eyed up at the other. Usually he was so meek and quiet, but here he was being rather....aggressive, stubborn about something. It would have been a nicer change if he wasn’t on the floor. Or maybe this was good?

“INSANE?! ....YOU’RE the one that FLINCHED at the mere thought!”
