we shouldn’t make fun of children for selfshipping or showing extra affection towards a fictional character. when I was younger, i used to think i was the only person in the world who had the ability to fall in love with fictional characters, so i would sometimes beat myself up for it.

it wasn’t until a little while later when I finally decided to have some courage to google my symptoms to find that i wasn’t alone and that there were plenty of people on this earth, and even some of my own friends, who had crushes on fictional characters or felt as strongly for them more than the average person just as I do.

in my experience at least, learning about my own semifictosexuality helped me come to terms with discovering that i’m on the aromantic spectrum.

even if you don’t have to identify with fictosexuality or the aro/ace spectrum to fall for fictional characters, i simply plead for tolerance of children who show signs of these kinds of things. bullying young kids for just being kids and them doing what they love is one of the biggest reasons why kids can’t have proper fun anymore.

we shouldn’t make fun of them when they are grown, either. let’s all just have fun and be ourselves, okay? :)

starting to identify with semi-ficto makes so much sense and makes me very joyous. finally labeling the deep emotional & romantic attachment i’ve felt for so many fictional characters for nearly a decade now feels so right. and i don’t even feel embarrassed to be using a label like that because it just feels so right!! happy freaking pride month guys ❤️

f/o may not say "i love you" to your face, but they sure show their affection towards you in other ways, like acts of service or just always taking you and your preferences into account! they have an outstanding memory whenever it comes to you

f/o who claims you are "not that important" for them, but they always know how to make you happy, what you like and dislike...

if you like to tease them for their tsundere behavior, be careful because they could end up potentially giving you the cold shoulder after so much teasing... they can't handle it very well, even if they know it could be your way of showing affection

whenever they gift you something, you can see it's hard for them to maintain eye contact and find the right words to say— ones that aren't too corny but that reflect how they feel about you. it is during that moment that you should tell them that you get what they mean (and, of course, a "thank you" for the gift). whether they'll shrug and say it's nothing or if they'll be actually surprised at how much you understand them depends on the f/o...

Fluffy f/o's are great, but imagine having a tsundere f/o. Where they would act that they hate your affection but crave it badly. They would say they hate how you call them pet names, but they live for it. They'll deny that they enjoy all your love gestures and insist they dislike it.
