I hate making phone calls but this is so so so important, please. Tbh I’m not sure exactly how I’ll be impacted by this Healthcare bill - my job provides me with okay health insurance benefits. But here’s the thing - that’s not the point. This bill will hurt so many people I’ve never met and so never meet or know in my lifetime. People with chronic illnesses, people with disabilities, people who are old, people who make just enough money to get by but not enough to qualify for subsidies, people who voted for fucking Donald Trump. This hurts them too and while I’m not super jazzed with their political choices, I don’t want them to forego care, go bankrupt, or die because they can’t get health insurance. Personal responsibility (a battle cry of the right) has no place in a conversation about Healthcare - Healthcare is a human right no matter how “responsible” you are.

So go. Make a call. Use the script, ask about specific passages, whatever works for you to be able to call and help fight this thing is so very needed.

self-confidence, i’m realizing, is a lot deeper than just thinking i’m beautiful and being free in who i am. it also includes being confident in my decisions and trusting myself to be committed to the things i want to do. to step outside of my comfort zone and assure myself that i will be okay in doing so. this kind of self-confidence will help me see the success i want to see.
