Finished Marisha’s character’s for outfit swap! Beau’s is pretty much canon but I made up a lot of Keyleth’s because there like... isn’t a solid canon of it anyway? Hope y’all enjoy these lovelies. Also I’m high key a little proud of the staff, that was cool of my goth brain to invent on the fly.

Up next: Caleb and Vax.

This is my first time animating combat of any kind and i feel like it looks weird but idk, but hey at least this has gotta count as multiple hand studies right???

Some highly interpretive bullshit from your friendly neighbourhood English Major over here. Added a close up of the feetsies because I’m proud of how they turned out with the water beneath. Obviously, i loosely based this on that one scene from Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse because the imagery was just too good to pass up. I’m kind of tempted to make it a tarot card but I cant decide which I want to do so I’m not going to for now. 

More interpretive bullshit under the cut if anyone is interested:

Fjord is “floating” deeper into the water, obviously as I said copying the floating/flying Miles from Into the Spider-verse, but it’s also more than that. Here we see too Fjord’s face turned ‘up’ to the light of U’kotoa, in acceptance of a gift he is receiving, or acknowledgement of a burden he is undertaking. This imagery is reminiscent of how Mary’s annunciation is often portrayed, implying that this moment of gaining a gift from an unknown but powerful entity was in some way Fjord’s fate, not simply a manner of circumstance, and that he is the only one who can fulfill this duty. 

The light that dapples through the water at his feet reveals a sunny day below him--he is clearly not falling from the shipwreck itself here but from his place as a sailor, and is being elevated to the place of champion or Chosen in this fall. His nudity shows his vulnerability both in accepting this burden and under the gaze of such a powerful creature, but also reveals the inherent vulnerability of being alone and of loss that he now must face the world with. 

Of course if anyone has different or additional ideas I’m SUPER into that shit so tell me!! also if anyone has ideas about what card in Tarot this could work for let me know because I’m not super knowledgeable about it but I think the imagery suits it.

I know there was nothing out there and the dome is opaque from the outside but I felt he was being watched anyway. First actual colouring I’ve done in a long while so I’m sorry its kind of messy

Laura was serving Looks™ last episode and I wanted to draw Jester and Beau in fancy clothes (Beau is wearing a variation of what liam was because I tried a dress and she crawled out of my screen to strangle me) 

Also this Jester is really skinny I know I just didn’t feel like having to redraw the dress when i got to the arms because i do shit it the wrong order lmao
