Okay, so the most retarded act of faith, I’m going to trust a politician’s word. I mean, this guy is running for senate, and he didn’t even set up a website! Not a single social media page either! Not even twitter!
The single piece of policy I’ve actually received [and that he’s actually produced, I looked] gives me the following:
Free speech is essential
Federal parliament has to stop acting like twats
We need a global refugee solution that complies with the UNHCR
Education institutions need to re-establish Academic rigour (I think as opposed to the bureaucratic business crap we have now)
Small business needs support
We should vote in our High Court
Need a watch dog to watch the watch dogs. (my personal favourite)
Climate change demands urgent action
Something about needing a properly constituted National Grievance Authority resolving problems with existing protocols. (really don’t know anything about this specific topic)
I’m going to phone this guy up when it’s not so early and run some questions by him, but yeah, watch this space.
Update!
Okay, so after talking to him on the phone, he doesn't support changing the marriage act, though he thinks people can live how they want. This does mean he supports voluntary euthanasia. He thinks we're over regulated, and that the PPL scheme libs have is a bit over the top, though he's okay with the idea of welfare. And he's not too happy about how some of the House of Rep's guys don't represent their electorates. Yes, this does shift where he goes on my preferences a bit.
