they say only a beast or a god kills utterly and entirely without mercy, and you don’t know which one she is.  you know her by her harvest moon eyes and the salt of armageddon on her lips, but you don’t know much else. she looks like divine absolution, but she laughs like a demon in the corn. you imagine she is heaven and hell aligned.

concept: a heavy to tongue and honey lips made love. they had hoped for a baby girl, but instead, they gave birth to molasses hymns that taste like you.

your heart only beats as softly as it does because it is afraid it will shatter your rib cage if it hammers as hard as it wants to

concept: you are the breeze of the sea, the breath of a beast

concept: the icy blues of your eyes have finally melted. when we’re in the sun, it’s warm enough for me to go swimming in them.
