I turned this in for a class. As part of my final project. I’m literally graded on this. I am not just a mere sinner - I am vocal sin incarnate. 

I’d say I’m ashamed of myself, but I stopped feeling shame after my 4th grade mental breakdown. :)

(P.S. I’m slowly getting back on the audition bandwagon, but life kinda crapped all over me all at once.)

So I just set up a new “booth” area for recording recently. It’s not impressive, like before, but I didn’t think my recordings were any worse.

Whenever I record, I will edit and redo lines until I think everything sounds good. Not just okay, but good. I won’t send anything in that I wouldn’t pick for a role in a million years, ya know.

But I just listened to my recent auditions on another computer, and the audio sounds like crap??

I don’t know what to do. It makes me feel like I’m wasting my time with these auditions because I could be putting hours into recording and editing when what I’m sending in would be rejected regardless of my acting abilities.

Who knows what the casters are hearing on there end. Ugh, I just feel so discouraged right now. If I thought I knew how to fix this that’d be one thing. But I don’t know if the problem is my mic or foam or surroundings or what. And I can’t afford to buy a new mic to see if that fixes it, because if it doesn’t, I’ll be like 100 bucks out for nothing. 

I just... I feel like I’m wasting my time... like why am I even bothering...

Like, my current mic isn’t terrible. It’s alright for goofing off on tumblr, but I’m worried that it’s holding me back from getting cast ‘cause a lot of people keep telling me they love my acting and voices but I’m not getting roles.... :/
