He stood at the edge of the bed, staring down at Pepper’s beautiful form. She looked delectable on his sheets. He just wanted to cut her open to see if she was still as beautiful bloodless. He had a feeling she would be.

“Pepper, are you feeling better?” he said sincerely as he climbed on the bed towards her.

"A little" She replied. She rubbed her forehead once more before sitting up. Her face went white again and she laid back down, the colour coming back. This wasn't like her, she never got ill, ever.

He caught her easily and held her in his arms, smiling to himself. It took the thrill out of it, but this way her noises wouldn’t wake his neighbours.

He walked up the stairs steadily, making sure not to hit her head on anything. She seemed to be mumbling something, but she was too paralysed to really say anything.

He opened his apartment and put her down on the blood red sheets of his bed and left to close and lock the door.

Pepper began to feel a little better, not by much but it was enough to know what she was doing now. She had recollection of the walk back or where she was. "Where am I?" She mumbled, rubbing her forehead. She then remembered the guy from the bar, Johnny. He must have bought her back to his apartment to get better.
