No Justice, No Peace (4/7/15): On this past Saturday, at least three Black men were killed by the police under questionable circumstances. One of those victims was Walter Scott, a 50-year old unarmed man. The press, hell even social media, seemed poised to sweep this by the wayside as just another death. Today however, a video was released of the killer cop shooting Scott eight times in the back as he ran for his life. This is policing in AmeriKKKa. How many more lives have to be stolen before we do more than just hit the reblog button. My heart is bleeding. Rest in power, Walter– we fight for you now too! #staywoke #farfromover

If you were to ask me where I see myself 10 years from now, my best response would be “not here.” Every day I realize more and more that I can’t picture myself staying in one place forever. I see myself here, and there, and over there. I see pieces of myself scattered everywhere. I crave constant change. I crave to see, to feel, to meet, to get lost, & to become found. Over and over again. I want to see the moon from different countries, and when the sun rises I want to see what colors the sky turns in different states. I’m hungry for life.
