I thought I'd see you today,

I wanted to look into your eyes,

Hunt for the spark that we once shared,

are you in there?

I wanted to look for the longing,

I wanted to see if you still care,

I wanted to see how much you've changed,

And see how much of the old you is still you.

I wanted to hold your hand, and hug you,

I wanted to feel your touch again,

Does it still have the same warmth?

I wanted to make you smile,

I wanted to hear you talk,

I wanted to see whether you are still excited to share things with me.

I wanted to see the new you,

I wanted to see where I fit with the new you,

Do I even fit or not.

I wanted you to see my feelings today,

I wanted to see how you react.

I wanted to see you today.

I still do, do you?

Those long library hours,

Some walks by the river,

Some confessions, some secrets,

And some silly bets.

Never thought I'd come back to these memories some day but,

I still do, do you?

How we met we tangled up,

Laughed and faught and smiled along,

Was it a dream, or thoughts that fly,

Or was it a phase that just passed along?

Believe me, I regret not holding your hand then,

I still do, do you?

I know things have changed,

Situations, experiences and people have changed,

You and I have grown up and apart.

Though it's a big wide world, I keep on trying to reach back to you,

I still do, do you too?
