Lore Olympus Hades 🖤 Much as I’m fond of the purple version, I decided it doesn’t totally look finished, so I added a final, more contrasty version in blue (which is still not quite the right hue – it’s green-blue rather than true blue – but I like how it looks with the red side lighting!)

30 Day LARP Challenge
This story was written in spanish, trying to imitate the old spanish expressions and writting, so it has been difficult to translate, anyhow thanks to Luis who has translated all of it! <3
Day 27. Tell us your favorite anecdote from a LARP event. As for the military and official figures in his visit to the Black Market of the Kolonie, tale of how Leonor de Texeiro i Castillo lived and felt. I found myself, in the middle of the night, looking in Aldradach for a few companions when I came across a group of three or four so-and-so who stopped me. "Light! Light!" They said, pointing with their fingers at the lantern I carried. I smiled and approached, offering to share my light, because they seemed to plot something important and carry out a serious matter in hand, literally. I watched, listened and shut up like a good soldier, curiously looking at the wooden box with different shelves and products that they held in their arms and over which there seemed to be a good deal. Whenever they did not need my services anymore, I realized that one of those folks was a beautiful and very well dressed lady, who offered me something in gratitude. They spilled a little white powder on the backs of their hands and snorted it with force. I denied with the head, thanking the offer and excused myself saying that the officers could punish me for the vices of bad living. The beautiful lady smiled and told me that I do not have to worry, that I must say to my captain that the mayor of La Colonia invited me. In such a way that I bowed, I thanked his gesture and imitated those guys. Apparently the next day an officer heard me tell this story to my comrades. Far from punishing me, we soon found ourselves, without eating or drinking it (T.N.: all of a sudden, without being involved), in a procession in the direction of La Colonia. And me in the middle. Imagine vuesas mecedes (T.N.: courtesy treatment, “your mercy”) my face, with Captain Nuño, Ensign Texeiro and Sergeant Ramos leading the way. Reformed corporal Torres does not meet us, but soon I thought that he would put the scream in the heavens (T.N.: get angry) as soon as he realized. Apparently the real reason for our visit to the Colony was not the strange drug that the mayor gave me the night before, but the seductive and lascivious images of women I knew they sold in the Black Market. So, when we just cross the portal of the colony, all stopped and looked at me. I, innocent, almost could not whisper an excuse when the ensign grabbed my shoulder and pushed me to the streets inside me while he said "you know where it is". I would be lying if I said I did not know, but the truth is that I would not say God´s name for it (T.N.: when you are not sure and don´t want to risk), as if I had been in those streets just a couple of times; still, I took the lead and walked with my officers and fellow soldiers behind me, until, at the end of a street, I spotted the building that carried a sign. "Black Market". Evidently there it must be. With another push the lieutenant made me go to the store and I ran into the customers who were cared for, so I went out and told what we expected a few, between chats, jokes and jokes, while I watched curious how, in the neighboring camp of the Black Market, a man taught a girl to skin a small deer. The animal, hanging by the hind legs, had half of its skin all turned upside down, and the man, in the dialect of Aldradach, was teaching the girl the best way to remove the skin. Soon the business was free, and upon entering we were surprised with a guy, more Germanic and blond than the mother who gave birth to him (N.T.: very Germanic), but who received us with an effusive "¡Hola!" In our native Spanish. From there we use the common language to communicate with him. Minutes later, we almost let the man without images of doubtful moral, the purchase was so great that the German wanted us to celebrate with him and invite us to that white powder which I had the pleasure of trying in the streets of Aldradach with the mayor of the Colony the previous night. Imagine with which face I was observing a captain, lieutenant and sergeant (because of my fellow soldiers, I was not surprised any longer) sighing at a blow the menthol, the white powder of the backs of his hands. I know that we left the Colony between laughs and triumph, I know we arrived at the tavern and what one of the Dominican priests in the same way as we, as well as the reformed Don Juan Ramón, the best salesman in history, frowned upon her. He scowled in his own way and reproached our little adventure. I know that night there were dances and insults, but everything else is another bag flour (T.N: that´s another story).
Day 14. What weapon (or anything of the sort) would you love to have? I already have my halberd, but it's 2,5 meters long, and I'd like to have one shorter, so I can use it at common LARPs, even when that means to create a new character with all the economical consequences🤣
Day 13. Speaking clases: Which one is your favourite Rogue? Mage? Healer? Something entirely different? Obviously ranger, for me it has the perfect balance between roleplay and combat. The only healer I enjoy is the surgeon and I don’t really like magic at LARP
Day 12. If you could run your own chapter of any system, which one and how? This is a very difficult question and I don't know hoy to answer...I've been very tired of running LARPs lately, I’m enjoying the good player life hahaha, and I don't have many interest now on doing it. Anyhow, doing a second part of "Paradise" will always be a gut feeling.
Day 11. How do you usually explain LARP an outsider who has never heard of the hobby? I usually don't have to explain it, but when I must, I use to ask if they've ever heard of role playing like D&D, and that is like the same but living, with costumes and acting. Or just tell them we perform a story with characters and improvisation. Just trying to keep it simple haha
Day 10. Favourite thing you ever made? This elvish dress. Made it for fun, little by little, but one of the few things I made with "good" result 😂
Day 9. Favourite thing you ever bought? Actually is was my last year's bithday gift, but honestly, all the LARP things that I love are presents😅 So I think my favourite thing is my wide-brimmed hat for my Tercio costume. I love it, is made to measure and I wanted one since I was 16 😂💜
Day 8. Do you prefer buying your costumes and props or making them yourself? As many people I started making all my costumes (left photo), but with the time my skills, time and patiente weren't enough for the costumes I wanted, so... wisdom is in the middle grounds hahaha I buy a lot of props and costumes (center photo), but also I ask request to artisans and tailors (right photo). And yeah, sometimes I still do and craft props or some easy clothing :)
Day 7. What was your favourite moment from the last event you attended? Last event was the first Aed Siad meeting. It wasn't a LARP itself, i was more like a weekend in communal living, roleplaying and learning, but those two nights, near the fire, drinking, singing, playing and beting, and telling stories and leyends were priceless.
Day 6.Do you prefer combat or character roleplay? I really enjoy both, but I really like a good massive battle with formations 😁
Day 5. What simmilarities do you have with one or some of your characters? As everyone, each character has a lot of me on her. Avryale is like an alter ego of me, mostly because of the ironic, solitary and grumpy part of me (and much more). Leonor is that loyal, fighter and honorable part of me. Which is there, I promise hahaha. Veronika, the Inquisitor, lets me go out all of my rage, proud and imposing nature...
