Though her question caught him off guard as he eased back slightly and blinked, tilting his head in confusion. “I mean…I’ll never turn down a kiss. A kiss is a kiss.” He replied truthfully.

She asked taking a small step forward, her hands behind her back kinda like he did most of the time though instead of standing straight her upper body was leaning forward, her soft brown eyes looking into those beautiful blues of his.

"hmph!" She yelped out by the all of a sudden kiss. Yeah Astra wanted to play around with him and see if there was anything but she didn't expect him to actually kiss her. She stood there for a moment to process before she slowly closed her eyes and placed both hands gently on his cheeks, gently cradling his face in her hands while finally kissing back but a bit more passionately

Homelander decided to call her bluff by kissing her. It wasn’t a big deal, he just wanted to shut her up. He figured she’d just push him away and tease him again, poke fun. But he didn’t expect her to touch and cradle his face, nor kiss him back. Still, he didn’t give in as his own hands rose up to rest at her waist while they kissed.

Her cheeks turned red feeling his hands on her waist. This was completely different from how they usually acted towards each other. Usually they were at each other's throats like feral dogs but this was..nice. Astra leaned in more, her chest pressed against his as she deepened the kiss a little even going far as to bite his bottom lip to maybe turn this into a nice steamy make out session

Homelander was just as surprised as her. He didn’t expect this to happen, nor that they’d both enjoy it? Still, she wasn’t slapping him or pushing him away, so he took that as a good sign. He noted her deepening the kiss and pressing against him, though he behaved for the most part and let her lead. Last thing he wanted was to scare her off. He hummed softly at the bite to his lip, his tongue teasing to graze against her own lips as he pressed more firmly against her.

Her hand moved from his cheeks to the back of his head, one arm draped over his shoulder as she slightly parted her lips for him to have access instead. Her head was spinning and her heart was beating out of her chest, it was so strange he was being so gentle with her right now. Astra knocked back another shot and laughed throwing her arm around a girl she had been drinking with for the past hour or so, she had been at a party and was having the time of her life. It was some of her normal time away from all the supes she had to deal with now to a day to day basis and hopefully the music was too loud for a certain nazi jail bait to bother her.

She nuzzled the neck of the girl giving her kisses with a dumb grin. Astra sadly wasn't drunk since her body wouldn't let her at all, great part of being a test tubed supe! (It's not). "We could go back to your place." Astra grinned gently nipping the girls neck causing her to giggle and lean into the new popular supe.

Homelander had been watching her for a while now. He despised her beyond belief. She came into the spotlight just by chance as she saved the day by using powers extremely similar to his own. Something he didn’t like. Not. One. Bit.

So, of course it was natural that he stalked her. Or rather, followed is how he’d put it. Ever since Vought seemed so obsessed with her as their new popular Supe. He didn’t appreciate anyone stealing his thunder. Astra was simple though, often always hanging out at the same spot, so she wasn’t too difficult to find.

“Oh, that would be a very bad idea. She never calls back, y’know. She causes chaos wherever she goes. She’s more likely to accidentally crush you during your little scissoring session.” Homelander mused as he appeared behind the couple, a rather innocent look on his face. “Oh, sorry. Did I ruin the moment?”

The woman Astra had been kissing up on jumped a little and her cheeks went completely red while Astra herself groaned "don't pay him any attention." She grumbled continuing to kiss up on the girl even pulling her down to climb on top where she kept kissing from the neck to her breasts. The girl closed her eyes completely looking away from Homelander since the guy kinda creeped her out a little, she let out a little moan. Her hands in Astra's white hair gently grabbing and pulling. They were completely ignoring him, or at least Astra was.

God she fucking hated Homelander, she liked being in the spot like just to piss him off. She had been pretty much a test tube baby just like him but instead she came out with the ability to copy others abilities as long as they're alive. So she could easily become the next Homelander and undermined him fully if she wanted to, but instead just fucked around in the spot light to his distress. Partying, fucking, drinking, and doing whatever she wanted just. To. Fuck. With him.

Homelander simply raised an eyebrow at the rather intense public display of affection. He couldn’t help but glance around at others within the bar, wondering if they were seeing the same as him. Or whether he was the unlucky one granted this little show. He huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, completely unamused. He knew that Astra was just acting out to spite him, and he was more than happy to give the same back in return.

“Easy up now before you two start fucking scissoring in public. For fuck sakes. Look, we gotta go. So, can you stop this before I fry her skull?” Homelander said with a pout, crossing his arms over his chest. He was very quickly loosing his patience.

Astra groaned and gently banged her head against the girls chest before sitting up "I'll call you later." She said giving the girl a long and drawn out kiss which caused the girl to giggle and get up. She slowly let her hand fall from Astra before walking off. With her finally gone Astra turned her attention to Homelander with this tired and annoyed look "what do you want mommy issues." She leaned back, now not facing him as she pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Since being Vought's new toy they were trying to convince her into using vapes but she never stopped with her cancer sticks. "You clearly saw I was busy, so it better be important." She growled not wanting to look at him and give him the attention he so craved

Homelander rolled his eyes at the rather gross public display of affection, sighing loudly so as to make his annoyance known. He tapped a foot on the floor, shaking his head. Astra was the only bitch that made him of all people wait. If he had his way, he’d tear her limb from limb, but noooo. She was Vought’s new plaything. She had to be protected and whored out to the public so that they’d adore her.

As if there was a single thing about the bitch that was worth the adoration.

Giving Astra’s little friend a death glare as she left, Homelander then focused his gaze on the thorn in his side with a shrug, watching as she lit the cigarette. He didn’t care for such things, not that they’d do anything to him anyway. “Oh, nothing. I just thought I’d stop by and fuck up your night. Y’know, as payback for all the times you’ve done the same to me. I get why you do it though. It feels good. Very good.” He chuckled.

At Astra’s reaction, he waved a gloved hand. “Oh, come on. Lighten the fuck up. You’re wanted back at the tower. Edgar wants to speak with you. He would’ve had Ashley call, but I so very kindly offered to fetch you myself. Anything to drag you back kicking and screaming.” He smirked.

"oh how charming of you." She clasped her hands together and batted her eyelashes at him before rolling her eyes and flipping him off. She sighed loudly before standing up taking the cig out of her mouth and crushed it in the closest ashtray, Astra never understood why he hated her so much. It's not like she purposely took the spot light from him, she was just made to be better than him. Easier to control. Honestly none of the seven really liked her except black noir..maybe it was because they thought she was going to be the next Homelander and make their lives a living hell.

Astra sighed against mostly to herself as she grabbed her jacket, slipped it on and started heading to the front door "I'm walking there need to clear my head before dealing with everything." She shrugged not really expecting him to follow her since he was the type to fly everywhere he needed. Astra needed time to think about some things, maybe even sulk on her way there but mostly she wanted to stop at the closest convenience store to get an energy drink she can knock back

“I know right? Most people in your situation would be more grateful. After all, it’s not everyday the Homelander escorts someone home personally.” He said with a smirk, watching Astra get herself organised. There was clear tension between them, both of them arguing and fighting more than they did anything else. Of course for Homelander, his annoyance was crystal clear. He hated the fact that the limelight was stolen from him. All because of her. So, naturally, he intended on making things very difficult for her. Miserable, even. Maybe then she’d leave and be someone else’s problem.

Homelander followed close behind Astra as she left, raising a brow when she mentioned she’d walk. “Look, I don’t won’t to carry you either but it’s the fastest way back. Don’t be stubborn.” He said with a sigh, though it was clear despite his protesting, he wasn’t going anywhere without her. Either they’d do this the easy way…or the hard way.

"how about you calm your ass down and just walk for once? I'm surprised your legs aren't shriveled little sticks with how much your fly." She rolled her eyes pulling another cigarette out of her case and used her finger to light it before waving her hand to put out the flame. These weren't actual cigarettes, they were made out of different calming plants like sage and rose petals. She never liked the smell of cigs so she changed to these, it allowed her to smell good as well instead of smelling like nicotine. Astra didn't want his limelight, she liked staying out of is but she became Voughts new toy. She's gonna be in that light for a while before they toss her to the side like anyone else and go right back to Homelander. She turned her head and blew the smoke not wanting it to go in Homelander's face, she hated him but she wasn't cruel.

"take a moment to enjoy the place." She snickered looking up at the night sky for a moment before her eyes looking down back to where she was walking. After her comment she went quiet almost like she was thinking and aimlessly walking, 's not like she had anything to say to Homelander anyway, they were two different personalities. He was crazy golden retriever and she was chill black cat..almost. she did have an awful sleep schedule and did dress in a lot of black so maybe that's why she compared herself to a black cat?

Homelander rolled his eyes at that, but silently agreed. He walked in step with her, the man well aware that they’d end up taking their sweet time to get back to the tower, Astra milking it for all she could. Still, she wasn’t protesting nor kicking up too much of a fuss, so he figured he couldn’t exactly complain all that much. “Oh, you’re hilarious. I could lay down for decades without using a muscle and still be just as toned and perfect. It’s just how I am. How Gods are made. Don’t be jealous now.” He taunted as his features scrunched up at the sight of her smoking. While he could tell it wasn’t real cigarettes, he still wasn’t overly fond of the idea considering drugs of any kind did nothing for him.

“I already do that from my apartment. Anywhere there’s a window, I always take the time to admire the view.” He replied, taking a moment to glance upward at the sky. It was a rather clear, calm night he had to admit. Still, he lost interest within seconds. “So, what was all that back there? A new girlfriend? Or just a hook up?” Homelander wasn’t fond of silence. He knew Astra wouldn’t attempt to make conversation, so he took care of that himself in order to fill the dead air.

She took one last drag before stopping for a quick second to put the cig out on her boot then did a little jog to catch up again. She pushed her hands into her pockets and just casually strolled till he mentioned the girl she was with earlier. "Oh uh, just some girl I met. Wasn't really going anywhere." She shrugged "she just wanted to hook up but I couldn't really do it. Not really into the just hump and dump ya know?" She glanced up at him then back to Infront of her. Astra was demisexual, unable to physically make herself sleep with someone unless she felt some sort of emotional connection to them. She could flirt and make out like a frat boy at a party but past that? Nothin' from her.

"what about you? Got anyone special or you actually the type to just dip when you've had your fun?" She asked while starting to kick a little rock as they walked just something to keep her attention so she could focus on their little conversation. It was easy for her to get distracted to say the least.

Homelander didn’t mind Astra all that much when she wasn’t being a stubborn little bitch. She could actually be quite tolerable compared to the rest of the Seven. Still, he’d never actually let her know that. He didn’t stop walking to wait for her, continuing on as he heard her jog to catch up, which made him smirk. He kept quiet and allowed Astra to speak, tilting his head at her reply. She wasn’t lying, he could tell. Not that she would’ve lied about such a thing as who she was with at some random bar.

When the topic shifted to him however, there was an obvious tension as Homelander clenched his jaw a little. Features twitched for the briefest of seconds before he replied. “Oh, you know me. I jump from person to person, whomever captures my interest at the time. One night stands are fine with me. Perfect even, what with my busy schedule, I have no time for commitment.” He said with a wave of a gloved hand, shrugging it off. As if he of all people truly needed anyone…

Astra let out a laugh at him trying to seem like one of those jump to jump kinda people "oh please don't lie to me." She snorted gently nudging him. "It's okay if you're the type to just want one person and you haven't found them yet. Shit is hard." She shrugged while kicking the rock over to him to see if he'd pass it back almost like a little game. It was nice to have a conversation like this instead of being at each other's throats all the time. She was allowing him to see a part of her she usually reserved for like her therapist or people she actually gave a shit about.

"but if that's how you feel then shit, more power to ya." She kinda smacked his chest making him stop then nodded towards the convenience store a little ways in front of them "gonna grab a few drinks, want anything?" She asked doing a quick run up and placed her hand on the door waiting for his response. She needed a few energy drinks and maybe some very unhealthy snacks for their little trip back 'home'

Homelander rolled his eyes at her words, though didn’t exactly deny them. Last thing he needed was relationship advice. He was the fucking Homelander and could be with anyone he wanted to be with. One night stands suited him fine, especially if it was with deranged, obsessed fans. While he loved being priority, he also needed someone who was intelligent and on his level. Who was worth more than a night. As the rock was kicked toward him, he sighed and kicked it back with his boot, not acknowledging the little game that was going on.

“Yes well, if the time comes when I need relationship advice, I’ll ask.” He grumbled, though did appreciate the no judgement. Not that he would’ve cared in any case, but Astra was…a difficult one to place. She got under his skin and infuriated him to no end, and yet rare moments like this weren’t…completely unwelcome. “Same with you and whatever the fuck it is you get up to.” He said with a wave of his hand. He wasn’t good with feelings, so that would have to do. As she ran off to the store, Homelander sighed and shook his head, at first declining the offer. But then… “A carton of milk would be nice.”

"I actually get up to a lot of things when vaught isn't up my ass." She slipped into the convenient store and started to rummage around grabbing herself a few meat stick snacks and two monster energy drinks which sadly had Homelander and A-train on the front of them for some damn reason. She also grabbed a small carton of milk like those little pints since she didn't know how much he wanted. She headed to the front, paid for it but had to deal with the cashier fangirling before slipping out and tossed him the little carton then cracked open her own drink and took a few swigs "wanna try it?" She asked standing next to him and kinda waved it a bit letting the liquid slosh inside. This was nice, them just talking and going to this small little store was nice. Little bit of normacy she crazed sometimes. "Don't worry, you aren't gonna die from taking a sip. I made sure not to get the sugar free one, sugar free sucks." She giggled giving him a small smile

“Sure you do. A lot of trouble, more like.” Homelander called out as he rolled his eyes. He stood and waited outside, rather enjoying the peace and quiet and gentle breeze in the air. It was rare for him to get any downtime like this. To do mundane things such as walking with someone and chatting. Or waiting for someone while they did a bit of shopping. It wasn’t like Homelander to wait. He didn’t wait for anyone unless it was good reason. Though considering he was getting milk, he wasn’t going to complain.

He could hear the cashier fangirling over Astra and sighed. It was probably for the best that he hadn’t gone into the shop also, otherwise they’d never get to leave. Thankfully Astra wasn’t too much longer to return, Homelander quick to take his carton of milk and tear it open, gulping most of it down in one go. He swallowed and sighed happily, licking his lips and brining a gloved hand up to gently wipe at his mouth. He was content…for now.

Looking over at Astra, he turned his nose up at the offer to drink some of her energy drink. He shuddered as the smell filled his nostrils. “No thanks, I hate that stuff. Never tried it, but if it tastes as bad as it smells, I never want to.” He said as he didn’t waste time walking again. “Milk is better. Superior in every way. Better than that rotten stuff. Bleck!”

Astra gave him a look at his whole tangent about milk before shrugging and rolling her eyes "don't really like plain milk, gotta have chocolate or strawberry mixed in. Mostly strawberry though." She took a few more sips of her drink. Sadly she was a caffeine addict and at this point it was the only thing that could keep her awake. "When I was younger I used to think strawberry milk came from strawberry cows, felt so lied to when I got older." She snorted as she nudged him to start walking with her again. Though she felt lied to a lot when she got older especially knowing she was some project by an old guy who just wanted power.

"so. I know we're both science experiments but how was your 'childhood'?" She glanced over to him while going air quotes then took another sip "mine was some what normal, till you know. Learned I was just a toy for corporate greed." She shrugged while swinging the bag with her extra drink and snacks back and forth. Her 'mother' was pretty nice to her and her father was...something. they were super pushy and did burn her out completely to where her once loved activities were nothing to her now. Especially playing violin.

Homelander shrugged as he took another sip of his milk. “To each their own. I prefer plain milk, personally. Never been into the flavoured stuff.” He admitted as he walked, snickering at her confession about cows. “I think a lot of people thought the same thing. I did too at one point.” He added as he gazed up at the sky. It was rare for him to walk somewhere when he could just fly. Going for walks really weren’t his thing, but he couldn’t say he was having a horrible time. It felt…nice getting some fresh air, peace and quiet for a change.

Though Homelander visibly tensed at the mention of his childhood. It was something he very rarely spoke about. To anyone. Only a few people knew of his upbringing, though there used to be more. But he’d seen to some of them, at least. Made them pay for what they did to him. His brows furrowed as he was silent for a long time, just walking. Eventually he cleared his throat before taking another sip of milk. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

She glanced over at him noticing his silence and gave him a :/ face when he sounded a bit anxious to talk about his backstory. "I get it." She moved a little closer to him nudging his side a bit with her elbow "but if you ever wanna talk about that I'll lend an ear." She offered showing actual want to connect with this poor guy for once. She crushed the can and threw it in the closest trash can with a small smile looking up at him "could even come and hang out in my apartment if you want." She flirted lightly and continued to walk til they finally ended up at the entrance of vought.

She sighed loudly that flirtatious smile falling when seeing the building "welp, we're back in hell! Let's get this stupid talk done so I can go back to partying or have the longest nap known to existence." She snorted grabbing his wrist to tug him along with her. Thankfully because they were the face of vought they wouldn't need to go through security, hell even some of the security was a little excited to see them (mostly the new guards who weren't broken in yet)

Homelander seemed a little out of place after being asked about his childhood. It was something he wasn’t going with, something that he didn’t like to think about. Though even he was surprised that Astra gave a shit, raising a brow as he looked down at her. “I-…thanks. I’m okay, it’s in the past and I’d like to just leave it there. I’m better than that.” He said with a small frown. It was clear that there were issues he had never properly addressed. "me? Behave? Never." She joked nudging him with her elbow a bit with a little eyebrow wiggling before walking past the metal detector, of course it going off since she had many metal things on her. Phone, keys, drink in hand, etc but of course they didn't care since they were the faces of vought at the moment. "What do you think they're going to bitch at us about? Or more or less me." She asked while walking into the elevator making sure to hold it so he could get in before the door closed. Astra's shoulders fell as she let out a soft sigh trying to let herself relax. Her nose was tilted up to the ceiling and her eyes were closed, secretly she hated elevators and the mix of not knowing what was going to happen didn't help what so ever.

Why wouldn't she just copy Homelander and fly up? Well her power takes a lot of mental power to copy other people's abilities and you know, she didn't want to waste it just because she didn't like elevators. "Maybe they'll want to make me change my 'hero name'. I know Edgar doesn't like the name Astra. Honestly I don't either but between you and me? It was just something off the top of my head." She rambled but grinned a little while her eyes still closed as she tried to focus on how the elevator was moving.

The Supe didn’t even walk through the metal detector, rather passing by it completely, walking ahead of Astra. End of the day, who was going to stop him of all people? Once Astra caught up, she decided to take the lead and grabbed the elevator with Homelander trailing behind. Stepping in, he then pressed the button for Edgar’s floor and then stood in his usual tall and proud stance.

At Astrid’s question, Homelander glanced at her. Though it was hardly worthwhile since she had her eyes closed. He let out a sigh and shrugged. “Beats me. I mean, besides the usual warning of ensuring you behave? Who knows. Better just to get on with it. Whatever it is.” He said as his gaze focused straight ahead. As Astra explained the reasoning behind her name, Homelander snickered. “It does sound a little random, gotta admit.” He said as the doors finally opened. Homelander stepped out first, trusting Astra to follow suit. “Maybe they’re going to give you the Biggest Pain in the Ass Award. You do deserve it.” Homelander said with a smirk.

Astra ran up behind him instantly once the doors opened "and you'll get the world's biggest douche bag reward." She teased lightly while grabbing his cape and made it look like wind was majestically whooshing. "And nice ass, Jesus.." she muttered taking notice before letting his cape fall. She cleared her throat and slipped her hands into her pockets while they continued to walk till they finally got to Edgar's door. She sighed and straightened her back while pulling her hands out of her pockets and started to fix her jacket and top even her hair trying to look presentable before giving homelander a look and opened the door. "Mr. Edgar." Astra said placing her hands behind her back while standing next to the door giving homelander enough room to walk in.

"Took you two long enough to get here." Edgar said not looking up from his papers. Of course he didn't allow them to sit since they honestly wouldn't be in here long enough. Astra was about to speak but he cut her off almost instantly "I don't care what you were doing Sophia, I have better things to attend to. Like you and homelander's social life." He said which caused her face to turn puzzled but she didn't speak. She was practically a trained dog when it came to Edgar. "The PR team has given me an interesting proposal. Something that, of course, needed my approval." He rubbed his face before finally looking up to them. "For popularity reasons and social reasons, you two. Will now publicly be known as a couple."
