A big gripe I have with the Hazbin fandom related to annoying white folks doing too much as always the case with Alastor is that Alastor would hate his current look as a demon, especially his hair being "too straight" because like, again, I can only put this down to being ignorant white people hence why the takes on this are so bland and feel so unfitting, but me and every other mixed and curly haired person I know actually have no problem with straight hair. Like a lot of us straighten our hair.
And, yes, this has a lot to do with racist european beauty standards being enforced upon us, but like, the art and jokes around this is never conveying this, it's more just trying to take a shallow, preformative shit on Alastor's current hairstyle entirely because its "weird" to them and no one wants to acknowledge or appreciate the fact that Alastor's current look is a product of early 2000s scene culture and this LIKE EVERY OTHER ISSUE with how the fandom treats Alastor, overlaps heavily with their extreme racism toward his multi-racial background and their racist insistence on pushing a monoracial identity upon him, which they've selected as African for the most woke points, but that doesn't do any justice to Alastor and who he is as a character AT ALL. Like, its really just racism. So much surround him in this fandom that is popular fanon wise is racism. And of course its pushed by predominantly white fans and when me and any other brown or black fan tries to speak about it we just get totally ignored. Its so frustrating, man.
