Iran Attacks Kuwait International Airport: One Dead, 63 Injured
For today's weird quota.
Gabbard Out
Tulsi Gabbard is resigning to support her husband, who is battling a "rare form of bone cancer." Her last day at ODNI is expected to be June 30.
Trump Says In 'Final Stages' Of Talks With Iran, After Pakistan Hints Agreement Close
From Zero Hedge:
Crude prices tumbled on a regional Al Hadath headline suggesting the "achievement of a final draft" of what will be Iran's latest peace proposal, though the recent pattern of this has shown little will likely come of it with Washington, amid ongoing apparent zero sum demands from each warring side.
Meanwhile:
Two Chinese VLCCs carrying 4 mb of Iraqi oil have crossed the Strait of Hormuz and are now heading straight for the US blockade. If they’re allowed to pass, it means Trump and Xi have quietly agreed to let it happen.
There are reports of other ships being allowed to pass as well. Perhaps things are looking up?

The Future of Gas Prices
Mark Shryock on Substack writes (edited for brevity):
The United States of America will run out of usable oil by July 4, 2026. Europe will run out this month. Diesel runs out first. Oil storage tanks in Europe will hit tank bottoms "sometime in the month of May" and in the United States "somewhere in that July 4th period." Tank bottoms does not mean the tanks are low. It means the system stops working. When levels drop below that threshold, the remaining oil becomes physically inaccessible to the pipeline system. The pumps fail. The gross depletion rate reaches 10 to 13 million barrels per day. We have burned through the equivalent of more than two full Strategic Petroleum Reserves in ten weeks. The SPR itself stood at 392.7 million barrels as of late April and falling. Seventy percent of all agricultural and food products in the United States are transported by truck. Every truck runs on diesel. When diesel stops, trucks stop moving. When trucks stop moving, food does not get picked up from farms. It does not arrive at grocery stores. The shelves go empty because there is no fuel to move the food. If the Strait of Hormuz opened this afternoon, the first drop of new Persian Gulf gasoline would not reach a Midwestern gas pump until approximately late August or September 2026. That is roughly 12 to 16 weeks from now.
Shryock's claim is a direct citation of Jeff Currie, Senior Advisor at the Carlyle Group.
In a May 6, 2026 interview, Currie explicitly stated that European storage will hit "tank bottoms" in May and the U.S. will hit that threshold around July 4, 2026.
He also notes that their is a widening cost of oil between it's paper price, $102 a barrel, and the physical demand price, now estimated to be near $150 a barrel.
70% of U.S. food moves by diesel. At 2005 inventory lows and U.S. refiners exporting refined products at record levels to chase global margins (net imports dropped to -100,000 b/d), a localized domestic shortage is a mathematical certainty unless something is done.
Of course, something is being done. Demand destruction from high prices and increased US production will prevent an outright collapse, but everything we know is telling us things are still going to get worse.
Diesel is currently at $5.65 nationally, but is expected to hit $8 or $9 by the summer even as refineries being prioritizing diesel production to keep supply chains moving.
Gasoline will then necessarily go higher.
Gemini notes:
When supply is completely inelastic (no new oil can physically be delivered for 12-16 weeks), the price must rise exponentially to force people off the road. Prices of $7.00+ nationally are what it mathematically takes to achieve the 1.5 million barrels per day of "demand destruction" projected by the IEA.
The Trump administration is arguing that'll be enough to keep prices low, estimating we've already reached peak gasoline prices due to demand destruction. But the Carlyle Group's assessment argues it can reach between $7 and $8 a gallon and that many gas stations may not have delivery.
Jarvis you freak.
CIA Leak: Iran Can Survive Blockade Another 3 to 4 Months, Maybe Longer
From Zero Hedge:
"A confidential CIA analysis says Iran can persevere another three or four months, if not longer." Iran retains about 75 percent of its prewar inventories of mobile launchers and about 70 percent of its prewar stockpiles of missiles, a U.S. official said.
Mark Ames wrote:
The “Team B” counterpoint here is whatever the FDD/Israel lobby says (“just a few more blockade days + a few more bombing sorties and the defeated regime is over”), and though they’re always wrong, presidents have a funny habit of going for the best-massaged Team B intelligence.
ZH continues:
Asked for comment on the officials' leaks, a White House spokeswoman reiterated the administration's triumphalist rhetoric. "During Operation Epic Fury, Iran was crushed militarily. Now, they are being strangled economically," said Anna Kelly. "The Iranian regime knows full well their current reality is not sustainable, and President Trump holds all the cards as negotiators work to make a deal.”
From Unusual Whales:
BREAKING: Nearly $920 million in crude oil shorts were placed at 3:40 AM ET, about 70 minutes before Axios reported the U.S. and Iran were nearing a “14-point” deal to end the war. Oil then plunged more than 12%, with the position gaining an estimated $125 million.
Just posted on Truth Social. Just Trump (as Jesus again) delivering himself via the statue of liberty.

The tax was implemented to cover the tab for WWI .....but seeing as we are now up to WW 11, it perhaps makes sense now?
From the Daily Mail:
Doe, who is Asian, joined as a Senior VP/Director that March, and Hajdini was appointed to the team in a senior role the following month. In early May 2024, Doe alleges Hajdini dropped her pen on the floor next to his desk and, while bending to pick it up, rubbed his leg and squeezed his calf. He claims she then remarked: ‘Oh, you did play basketball in college? … I love basketball players… they get me so wet.’ From there, Doe alleges the advances grew more explicit and frequent. Later that May, Doe said in the complaint that Hajdini invited him out for drinks, but he declined. In response, she is alleged to have said: ‘If you don’t fk me soon, I’m going to ruin you… never forget, I fking own you.’ Twice, Doe claims that Hajdini propositioned him for oral sex in the office, on one occasion asking: ‘Birthday BJ for the brown boy? My little brown boy.’ While Doe claims he continued to resist her advances, Hajdini allegedly threatened professional retribution, telling him if he wanted to be promoted to executive director, he would need to start ‘pleasing’ her, according to the lawsuit. ‘You’re gonna need to earn it, my little Arab boy toy,’ Doe alleges she told him during a work social event at her private members club. During the same event, he claims she repeatedly groped his groin under the table and spat in her hands, running them over his neck and head. Hajdini then allegedly removed her shirt, began fondling her breasts and racially insulted Doe’s wife, remarking: ‘I bet your little Asian, fish head, wife doesn’t have these cannons,’ the complaint reads.
Could be all made up. Albanian women apparently have a reputation is all I'm going to say.
Update:
JP Morgan’s internal investigation found no merit to sexual harassment claims. The accuser refused to cooperate/provide evidence. Executive says its all complete fabrication. They were colleagues but did not report to each other, so she had no influence over bonus or promotion.
During the Manhattan Project, scientists considered whether the first atomic bomb might ignite the atmosphere. The reported maximum acceptable risk threshold was roughly 1 in 500 (or .2 percent): if their calculations suggested a chance higher than that, they would not attempt the test.
