lmao hi I'm alive
Chip/Lief here, with an update of sorts-
I think it is probably obvious by now, but this blog is archived and no longer active. I am once again writing on tumblr, but via a multifandom/muse blog. I have been much more selective about who I follow there, but I do have FE muses on it(it most heavily features genshin impact right now, but fe, octopath, digimon and multiple other series are present)

If I went through everything 2021 has put me and my family through I could write a whole novel. It's been bad, though. Rough. Some bright spots within, but...man.
First and foremost, my penname/preferred name has changed. This is based solely on a shift in my personal preference- Toby, Tobes or Fidget are preferred. My pronouns are He/Him as they've always been.
Second, A brief TL;DR of my current circumstances.
My mom got COVID in May of 2020. It was a mild case, but also a longhaul case, and she has been left with multiple permanent disabilities, including POTS.
She can no longer work and is partially wheelchair bound, and new inflammatory sensitivities to certain allergens mean that ultimately she, dad and I will have to move from our home of the last 25+ years. This means all three of us are now disabled and cannot work.
Right now we are barely scraping by financially with mine and dad's social security payments + my EBT card, and my dog is only just recovered after a high risk emergency surgery a few weeks ago that I will be paying off into next year.
We will have to downsize our living space regardless, and will have to throw away and replace a very large portion of our belongings, including expensive electronics. Others will have to be specially sanitized.
Some close family friends whose daughter I grew up with and who were like second parents to me were killed in a car wreck a couple of months ago on their way home from her wedding.
There's a lot more going on than just that, but these things have been the biggest and/or most consistent stressors.
That is what has been going on with me, and where you can find me now- as a note, I am generally highly selective about following FE blogs these days. But if we were formerly actively social mutuals who fell out of touch for one reason or another, I will be relatively receptive of getting back in touch again, at least to see if our current writing, muses, etc will click.
