Rose De Lioncourt:
Though she was young in age, she hoped she looked the part of a well adjusted somewhat new Vampire. If anything, it would help her to feel less self conscious in Femiβs presence. Rose very rarely had to interact with those so old that she wasnβt familiar with, but she wasnβt about to run off either, far too curious about this woman and all she had seen. Told that she was both adorable, and not in any danger, Rose merely smiled. It was hard not to be on edge with such an ancient stranger, and only a fool would act brazen around a Child of the Millennia.Β
βOkay, well, uh, Iβm Rose. You knew that. I was taken in by Lestat after an earthquake killed my mom. He helped to raise me andβ¦after a few poor decisions on my part, I sorta ended up meeting his son. Viktor. And then we were turnedβ¦just over 2 years ago. Iβm just exploring the world with these new senses, trying not to get into too much trouble. Were you asleep when Amel got started? Or were you already awake when he was on his rampage? I know a few people who were deep in sleep, who didnβt wake until recently. I guess we all just hope that Amel is tempered now. That he is quieted in Lestatβs body.β
Femi listens while walking at a pace that would make her come off as a mere human moving through the slightly busy night streets of New Orleans. Still so young in the blood, but at least she was aware of the doβs and donβts and werenβt running about like some untrained piece of undead trash. The ancient hadnβt turned anyone through her years of living in this world, she mostly kept to herself and was very picky when it came to offering immortality. Though, she can tell Lestat was wise in his choice when it came to Rose.
βI had awoken briefly to the sound of Benji through the radio airwaves... I almost came forward then but I didnβt... which was foolish on my end. If I had known all hell would break loose I would have stayed awake and tried to help the best I could. However, there is no use in dwelling in the past. --Yes.. let us hope Amel is nice and quiet in Lestatβs body.β Would hate to have to kill your maker somewhere down the line.Β βPerhaps I should tell you briefly of whom I am, yes? I am Femi, I was born in Egypt, I was the dancer and painter for Akasha and Enkil during their mortal lives. I eventually became a mistress to the King, became pregnant with his child, however I lost the child when I was imprisoned by Akasha for sneaking about, giving Maharet and Mekare food and water whilst they were captured. She said I was plotting with them...β Femi chuckles dryly before continuing, βI lost the baby during my captivity and was eventually turned and only took orders from Akasha from that day forward; well, until the rebellion happened. I had a brother, though I killed him. I did not want to but I had no choice.. it was either my life or his in that moment and I chose mine.β Femi becomes silent for a moment, her brows coming to furrow. The memory still hurts after all these years.
