the body is made of golden threads, think of Kinshara Butōdan's puppets

the neck piece was supposed to resemble their shikai's guard, the face here is carved like marble but being made of golden metal threads that's going to be scrapped

the veil is something else I'm not entirely sure to keep because while they are quite cryptic, they also crave admiration, so hiding their figure doesn't really fit that --but you bet I'll try my best to keep the hair buns (though the loose bangs will have to look less like strands of hair and more like threads because again, they're entirely made of golden metal)

since their name references the sal tree, I've been contemplating adding arboreal elements, maybe giving them a laurel/halo of vines/flowers? My main issue is that they're technically a "foreign" entity, take the King in Yellow for reference, so part of me wants them to look alien and otherworldly while not straying too much from the style of other zanpakutō spirits which are fairly human and simple in appearance

Here are some pieces from my arsenal 🫴✨

Riku is the division's treasurer, in charge of managing and monitoring the division's budget. He started helping Izuru with the collective finances after Gin's departure, and since then he's been the de-facto designated accountant, advising Izuru and Rose on spending and assigning funds where needed (as a general rule, I think Rose would respect the current "natural order" of the division, preferring to adhere to it and make minimal changes, only giving his final confirmation since it's needed for official documents and stuff);

Coming from a family of carpenters, Gori has a knack for building, fixing, and renovating things through manual crafts, especially (but not only limited to) woodworking. He's often the one who's consulted for repairs necessary around the division, but many also approach him when off duty asking him to fix furniture or objects, and he's known to happily oblige for the mere price of a bottle of sake. One of his favorite things to do during trips to the WotL when he has access to his Gigai is buying model kits of all kinds to bring home (gunpla, cars, planes, etc.);

The division has two main training programs, one for less experienced/younger shinigami and one for more skilled individuals or veterans. In my HCs, the former is managed by Gori and the latter by Asuka. For Kido training, they rent one of the Fifth's rooms twice per week, since they have facilities specifically for Kido;

Even before Rose regains his position, the Third's grounds have ample walkable sections that are often used for events of all kind, even if not organized by the division itself. Still, much to Izuru's frustration, since it's their grounds they're often nominated for hosting seasonal events anyways. These sections, as well as the rest of the Third's grounds, have always been traditionally well-maintained.

The Third's rumored to be "cursed", but Izuru strongly discourages it whenever he gets the chance. (because of course he would gatekeep being cursed)

Also, if you don't mind it being from Miele's POV, I wrote a little journal entry that features Asuka, Izuru, Rose and the persimmon garden!

1000 Year Blood War Arc

This page covers general info for Rose and Izuru during the Blood War arc. That is, Rose becoming the new Captain and being well received by Izuru. But it then covers the tragedy that occurred when the Quincy attacked.

At the bottom of the page it reads, 変わらぬ人事. It essentially talks about a problem a character has faced in the arc, or something that has changed about them or what they’ve done. For Rose it was Izuru’s death, then meeting his fate a few hours after, and for Izuru it was the uneasy feeling that he had had once he learned of the spirits disappearing from the Rukongai.

Zanpakutou Poll Results:

4th- Shinsou

Japanese fans thought the symbolism of Shinsou being snake-like was quite suited for Gin. They also thought that Kamishini no Yari’s call ‘死せ’ (kill) was really cool.

9th- Wabisuke

Fans thought that Wabisuke’s abilities were quite strong, and after a few hits Wabisuke’s abilities would be unbeatable. They also thought that Wabisuke was very much an Izuru-ish zanpakutou.

26th- Kinshara

They thought that Kinshara was beautiful and cool. They wanted to see more of its abilities used.

33rd- Mogaribue

Battle Poll Results:

4th- Gin v Aizen

Gin’s line ‘I’m sorry’ was well-received by fans as it conveyed strong meaning. Fans thought that Gin trying to get back at Aizen for Rangiku’s sake was quite bittersweet, and they really loved the true emotion in the conversation during and after the fight.

18th- Izuru v Abirama Redder

Fans thought that Izuru’s and Wabisuke’s strength really shone in this fight. They also thought that Abirama’s beheading was really shocking!

37th- Izuru v Momo

The tension in this fight was well liked by fans as they thought both Momo and Izuru were impressive; Momo trying to kill Gin and Izuru stopping her. Momo’s strong words were also really liked.

42nd- Izuru v Rangiku

Izuru’s feeling of ‘for his Captain’ was what fans liked about this Vice-Captain fight.

47th- Rose v Nanana Najahkoop

Fans liked this fight due to Rose’s strong emotions over the death of Kira, and his impressive anger.

Popularity Poll Results:

4th- Gin Ichimaru

Kubo writes that Gin has some really deep-rooted popularity. On the contrary, he didn’t think he would leave such a strong impression since he isn’t around anymore.

Fans are really keen on Gin due to the fight he had with Aizen and his connection to Rangiku. The fans also mention that even though he died ages ago, they still love him!

19th- Izuru Kira

Fans really sympathise with Izuru’s hardships and pain that he’s suffered and they want him to keep on fighting against it! They also hope that he didn’t die, and that his fighting face is cool.

36th- Rose Otoribashi

Rose’s smartly-dressed appearance is quite popular with the fans. They were sad that he became a zombie, but they’ll keep on cheering for him!
