Alaina is nothing he thought he wanted– in fact, she is the complete opposite of the women Ryan normally goes for. She says her Spotify is overrun by the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift, but in an unironic kind of way. He watches her add three scoops too many of sugar to her coffee every morning and she prefers cold, hard facts over creativity. He’s always been more attracted to brunettes, but Alaina’s hair is as golden as the sun just as it begins to peek over the horizon to meet the sky. Her viridescent eyes have an innocent glimmer when he prefers a bit of mystery. She snorts when she laughs and if her life depended on finding a beat, she’d be dead.
