Home Cleansing Brew
Place in a pot:Â
1 lemon, sliced
2 tbsp dried rosemaryÂ
1 tbsp ground cinnamonÂ
1 tsp honeyÂ
2 cups water
Bring to a boil. Charge with intent, say the chant, and reduce to simmer. Let the aroma fill your home. Strain and save for later use. Pour some over your doorstep.Â
Lemon bright and honey sweet,Â
Keep this home nice and neat.Â
Cinnamon and rosemary,Â
Make this a lovely place to be!Â
Offering stones
When taking something from nature, such as herbs, it is nice to give something back. You can leave these lovely air-dry stones in places such as the forest as a way to say thank you. Leaving these in nature is also totally safe for the environment. You can also offer these to a god/goddess.
Recipe:
2 cups of baking soda
1 cup of corn starch
1 ½ cups cold water
Mix until smooth, then put it in a pan and stir until it boils. Keep stirring until it is the consistency of mashed potatoes.
Let it cool and take the clay out of the pan. It should feel really smooth and you will probably play with it alot before you are even going to make the stones :)
I added some herbs and flowers, such as rosemary, lavender, roses, carnations, thyme, cloves, cinnamon, some blue flowers of which I don’t know the name and some orange berries that I found near the park.
I just made a little ball, then made a hole in it and added some herbs.
Now you can decorate it! You can add anything and shape them in any way you want. As you can see I made some squares, hearts, blobs and even an easter egg :) I’ve seen some people use glitter and I recommend you don’t add any glitter since that is actually bad for the environment. I tried using normal white sugar as an alternative, but i noticed that the stones got kind of wet, which I should’ve seen coming. Not sure what’s going to happen when it dries so I’ll keep you guys updated.
I’m so happy with these and I am definitely going to use these for Ostara ^^ Of course you can use this recipe to make anything you want, not just offering stones.Â
I hope this was helpful for you guys ^-^

**Find My Kind** Spell
Here is a simple spell I thought I’d share for attracting like-minded people and luring towards yourself more genuine friends/friendships.
Quick Tip: A cup of Chamomile or Mint tea would be quite nice to start, finish or to drink throughout this spell, as chamomile is good for abundance and mint attracts prosperity.
Ingredients:
Basil  - crushed, powdered, plain, whatever!
Rose or Clear Quartz (alternative = silver coin)
Vanilla Essence or Oil
Lavender -  sprigs or powdered, doesn’t matter.
A Candle  - white is great. so is orange or brown.
A Pen  -  green, orange or red would be best.
An Envelope
A Piece of Paper
Method:
1. Keep the quartz in your possession throughout the spell - in a pocket or next to the candle is fine.
2. Dab the vanilla essence in the four corners of your piece of paper.
3. Draw 3 circles/suns on the piece of paper with your pen, interlocking with each other like in this picture:
– write your full name in the middle section outlined here in red. 4. If you want, you can write on the other side of the paper the qualities you want the people you attract to have. A similar sense of humour, loyalty, any particular appreciations/hobbies etc.
5. Fold up the piece of paper and put it in an envelope along with the basil and lavender.
6. Pass the envelope through the flame of the candle as many times as you wish (if in a circular manner, aim it to be clockwise) and repeat this mantra:
I call upon my people Listen to my voice The blood that runs through all our veins Will now give us no choice
Now is the time For us to be bound To attract like to like and within each other Our light shall be found
I call my kin Come to my side Let our minds intermingle Let our lives intertwine
– Repeat the last phrase as much as you like. 3 or 9 times would work quite well, but it’s up to you.
7. You may decide to burn the envelope - if this is what you choose, then wrap the ashes in a lettuce leaf and bury it in a flourishing garden or at the base of a big, old tree. If you do not want to burn the envelope, kiss it and bury it in your garden, close to your front door or at the roots of a large tree.
8. Keep the quartz on or around you when going to meet new people, or if you’re feeling in the mood to meet new people. If you don’t want to wear it on your person then keeping it in the bedroom or near the phone or computer should be fine as well.
Good times to perform this spell: Waxing Moon or Midday

Personalized Tea Lights
I made these super easy Tea Light Candles today and added herbs, dried flowers and essential oils to use in future rituals. (Or basically whenever i want to)
Step One: Add your Tea Lights to a pot and put it on the stove by low to medium heat.
Step Two: After the wax melted down, add your chosen herbs, flowers or oils. You can literally do anything here, get creative!
Some of my creations contained dried lavender buds and lavender essential oil (for inner peace, balance and good sleep), dried sunflower (to brighten up your mood or day, to bring happiness), sage (to purify and cleanse) and a mixture of black pepper, sea salt and cayenne pepper (to banish and absorb negative energies)
Step Three: After you added your ingredients, take the pot off the stove and let the Tea Lights harden again.
And that’s it! It’s super easy and the outcome is just as effectful as gorgeous.

how & when to cleanse your tarot cards ✨
how to cleanse:
shuffle - shuffle your cards for some time with cleansing intent.
sort the cards - put the cards back in the order of the major arcana from 0-21, wands, cups, swords, and then pentacles. let them stay like this for a short while, until you feel they’re cleansed, and then shuffle them again.
crystals - choose a crystal with your intent and place it on top of your deck, or create a crystal grid around it.
smoke cleansing - pass your deck through the smoke of burnt sage or rosemary, or through the smoke from insense.
sunlight/moonlight - natural light sources give healing energies to your deck. sunlight is more masculine, while moonlight is more feminine. keep this in mind when choosing a light source and what’s best for your deck.
meditation - meditate on the cards. this may be one card at a time or the whole deck at once.
yoga - do yoga with your deck, this will soothe and cleanse you both and create a stronger bond between you and your deck.
sound - use a song, a bell, or an instrument to wash vibrations over and through your deck to release energy.
salt - sprinkle salt gently over your deck or put your deck in an airtight bag and submerge it in a bowl of salt and let the salt absorb pent up energies.
sigils - write a cleansing sigil on a slip of paper and put it in the box or bag with your deck.
fresh air - set your deck on a windowsill by a cracked open window. allow the movement of fresh air to cleanse the pent up energy from your cards.
close contact - keep your deck beside or under your pillow as you sleep to both cleanse and build a close relationship with your deck.
when to cleanse:
brand new deck - if you bought or have been gifted a new or secondhand deck, the best way to sort out its energy is to cleanse it before the first use.
after each use - this is the best way to upkeep the health of your cards.
every day - a great way to take care of your cards, routine cleansing is a wonderful daily ritual for you and your deck.
when someone else touches it - energies can get muddled when someone other than the reader touches a deck.
after a complicated reading - your deck can run out of energy quickly when you ask it to do a complcated reading, and the best way to replenish these energies is to cleanse.
after not using it for a while - stagnant energies will build up in your deck if you go a while between uses. the best way to counteract this is a thorough cleansing.
with your life cycles - whether moon cycles, menstrual cycles, or sleep cycles, cleansing your deck when your energy is high can be a good idea.
whenever your deck tells you - sometimes you will be able to feel when your deck needs to be cleansed. a good cleansing and recharging is helpful when shuffling becomes difficult, you’re getting the same cards repeatedly, or you feel your deck run low on energy.
Black Salt
I couldn’t find an info post about one of my favorite witchy ingredients, so I figured I’d better make one!Â
Black Salt is used almost exclusively for protection. Not to be confused with culinary black lava salt or kala namak salts, it absorbs/banishes negativity, and is one of my favorite things to work with. But Bri, how is it different than normal salt? Well, regular sea salt(or if you’re like me, table salt) can be used for many things, protection, healing, purification…Black salt has been imbued with FIRE, which kicks up the protective attributes.Â
Black salt is incredibly easy to make. You can use:
ash
powdered charcoal
cauldron scrapings
pepper
iron shavings
My preferred method is to stick my incense directly into a pot of salt. Then, the ashes will collect there over time. I also save my spent matches from lighting candles/incense and crush them up with a mortar and pestle(I mean, a nail polish bottle and a bowl).
Whatever you use to make your black salt, most witches prefer to keep it at least 50% salt. Add in you “blackener”, and any other protective herbs you desire. Stir it up, or grind it if needed, and pop it into a jar.
Now, what do you do with it? I’m glad you asked!
Keep a pot near your bed to ward off bad dreams and evil spirits
Draw a line across doorways to bar negative energy from entering
Sprinkle some in the corners of each room in your house to absorb stagnant negativity
Add it to floor wash to cleanse your home
Add it to any spell/charm/ritual that has a protective intent
Use it to make an even more powerful banishment powder, like THIS one
Add it to your bathwater when you are feeling down
But remember this, black salt will need disposing of! It’s best to replace it every week or so, or whenever you feel its effects start to wane. Keep in mind, this salt now contains negative energy, you want to dispose of it properly. Toss it into running water, a fire, or bury it in the earth to disperse the harmful energy.
Talismans are items that help to ground you, by helping you focus on the present, through a psychological process called Mindfulness.
A talisman can be anything, but items that utilize your senses are especially helpful
When you need to ground yourself, interact with your talisman using as many of your senses as possible. How does it feel in your hand? Is it heavy, cold, textured? If there are parts that move, follow it intently with your eyes. Slow, repetitive and rhythmic movement is best to calm you.
If you suffer from night terrors or nightmares, having a talisman that is always in the same place and readily visible from your bed can help. Make a habit of looking for your talisman each time you wake up. Seeing it will help to confirm you are in a safe place. If you need to use lighting, consider non-blue-based lights so as to not disrupt your sleep.
See, this is the kind of tip that I didn’t know I needed as a witch.

âś– Spell & Curse Breaking âś–
Methods for negating spells you have cast:
Destroy the physical representation of the spell i.e. if your spell was contained within a jar, break the jar and dispose of the pieces
Disassemble the spell and cleanse each component individually
Place item in a bath of sea salt and dried herbs that are associated with cleansing and banishing - leave overnight and disassemble the spell when finished
Cleanse the item with moon or rain water and disassemble if applicable
Place the item in a black box to negate its effects
Bury the item for 3 days, retrieve it, then dispose of it
Bury the item on the night of the full moon and retrieve it at the next new moon
Create a sigil or written incantation with the intent of breaking the spell and place the item on top of the paper - leave in place overnight
Create a written incantation that includes the details of the spell - bury, burn, drown, rip apart, or throw it away
Light a black candle that is surrounded by sea salt while focusing on the intent of negating the spell - recite an incantation if you wish, and allow the candle to burn down; sweep the sea salt out your back door
Breaking and warding spells others have cast upon you:
Perform a “Return to Sender” spell - find a black taper candle; turn it upside down; cut the tip off and leave the wick in place; carve “return to sender” and the target’s name (or a description of them) into the candle; light the candle upside down and let it burn down completely
Leave a Witch Bottle outside of your home - it should contain items like: pins, needles, broken glass (to shred their negative intentions towards you); your name and the names of those who may be affected by this negative energy plus an incantation for protection (e.g. your loved ones, pets, anyone who lives in your home); and lemon juice, lime juice, or sea salt (to purify their negative energy so that it may not get to you)
Create a mixture of charcoal, chili powder, and sulfur powder - sprinkle around the perimeter of your home to stop a spell in its tracks
Alternately, you may combine these ingredients, add to a hollow pendant, and wear on your person to protect you from the effects of a spell
If you know the details of the spell that has been placed on you, write them down on paper; while focusing on breaking the spell, hold the paper in your hand, and then rip it to shreds; throw the pieces in the trash, or bury in your backyard
If you don’t know the exact details, write down the effects you have been feeling if you think they have been caused by a spell or malintent directed at you; follow the steps above
Submerge yourself in a bath of sea salt and light frankincense incense - place the incense on the edge of the tub or somewhere safe in your bathroom - to cleanse yourself of any negative energy that has been directed at you
Place an energetic shield over yourself or your home that is designed to negate negative energy
Tips:Â
Close all loopholes
When crafting a spell, remember to create a fail safe (e.g. “this spell will be broken if X occurs”)
Add timed conditions to your spells (e.g. “this spell will be broken on the night of the next full moon” and include a specific date)
Be specific when describing the target that will be affected by the spell (whether it’s you or someone else, be sure to include taglocks whether it be their name written or spoken aloud, DNA such as hair, fingernail clippings, etc., or a photo of the target)
Use ingredients, supplies, and tools that match your intent
Employ a method of protection before casting spells, whether the intent is malefic or not
Cleanse your space and tools before and after performing a spell to “wipe the slate clean”
